I am on Twitter, YouTube, I have a blog, AIM (which I rarely use, I have my regular email account and a yahoo mail account, I am signed onto several email lists, I have a MySpace account which I do pretty much nothing with. I am also a gamer, and use ventrilo when I am gaming for voice chat. I might need some rehab too, I suppose :-)
I got so many passwords that I couldn't remember everything in my head. I have well over a hundred that I keep in a password management program.
By the way, be careful when publicly disclosing what you participate in online. That can help anyone harvesting information about you. What if this video were part a special project to collect and connect information?
Damm, I have 5 or 6 e-mail accounts 8 different passwords of varying complexity .. once semi consistent handle, various memberships to message boards, communities etc and I am in my 30s so hardly a Digital Child of the age

No, I don't like joining all that stuff. I'm a little leary of even being with youtube, or even on line. Too much crap. Too much marketing. If I'm told I need something, my tendency is to resist. When it comes down to the basics, society depends on ethics and trust. The reason I say that, is that it is the criterion on which all marketing tries to conform; implied or explicit. Do you see it?

No dear, it's not just you. lol. I have MySpace, YouTube, Yahoo, MSN, BlogTalkRadio, Gmail, AKO, and a host of other things that I don't even remember to check half the time. I feel so overwhelmed by it sometimes and I just withdraw from everything (except my Gmail). But BlogTalkRadio is fun, so that's my latest "thing." I'm kind of over YouTube at the moment because people get demanding about you putting out more vids. lol. Great vid. No, you're not the only one! lol.
Does anyone else feel like all this registration is used in some database to identify and categorize you? Being anonymous on the Internet is nearly impossible. It's all used as a cross reference. Perhaps you use an anonymous ID for Youtube, but then link to your myspace with your full name, address, pix and friends...well guess what? You've just been Zero'd in. Not saying this is a good thing or a bad, but lets stop pretending you can be completely anonymous online.
I got 1 facebook, I got 2 msn, one I use to stay "anonymous", I am on about 10 different forums, yahoo mail, gmail and I recently deleted my myspace which I signed up to with my "anonymous" email! Then you have all the banking sites etc, it's kinda scary how my personal info is all over the internet.. What can you do? :\
Blackplanet (which I'm hardly on), Myspace, and Yahoo. I just use YouTube for commenting on videos, Mediatakeout (shame to say that) to blog, and hotmail as my business email.
I'm soon getting off BP and going to join BPM. Chatting can be a valuable resource for networking & meeting lifelong friends & as long as you're not neglecting your responsibilities & using it as the complete source of your social life I don't see a problem with it.

I am not sure why you care how many email accounts or accounts people have on the internet, but here's mine: One account with the following: Youtube Myspace Facebook Hotmail Yahoo Firestream Pal Talk Windows Messenger I used to have one with Xanga, but then got bored with it once I found out that it was being popularized by mostly teenagers who give out way too much information about themselves. I typically only use Yahoo for Fantasy Football, but the others I use often.

What a good brother. I have been challenged at the stores I go to. I went to some flea market type of used bookseller and had 3 used books that I wanted to sell. They wanted my phone #, email, address, zip code. I got into it with them. Then, I applied for a job at a gold coast hotel and they wanted to know what my father and my grandfather did for a living. 2 email accounts because I was getting tired of giving companies my email address. Youtube, some minor forums that's about it. I've used Myspace etc in the past but they're not about blogging anymore but giving up private info and adding pictures and that stuff doesn't interest me.

And let me be frank about blogs, no one reads them and really cares about them, unless you're someone really popular. Writing a blog is no use...except as something you can look back on.
Persoanlly I have boycotted Facebook, Myspace and all random chat. It is too impersonal and who wants to fight over who has the most "Friends"?? LAME! although I do have one hotmail account, and one Bebo account strictly to keep in contact with friends that I no-longer see F2F. So that's a total of three (YT/Bebo/Hotmail) Manageable! :)

I used to have all these accounts on other websites, but then I realized they are completely useless and I will never use them except to waste time. So I deleted them.
I only have a you tube account I have had my 3 email accounts for years and one 3 message boards I visit regularly one email is specifically for on line bill paying the others are personal or for news letters makes it easy for me to clean out the junk however no blogs nor my space pages You Tube has proven to be quite enough to keep up with for me.

I hear ya about all the accounts; plenty myself (20+?); but I long decided on an alias. I almost have myself convinced I was born on 1 Jan '70 :) Or else I choose 2 Feb '59. Just create a new e-mail account, make up all your cool personal stats, write them on a piece of paper and post above your monitor. You'll have it memorized in no time and can dismiss with giving out everyone your personal info. You got me thinking... how hard would it be to get a credit card until that alias. Hmmm...
Just three hotmail accounts - one for newsletters etc from music sites, one for friends and family, and one for the sake of it which i don't use. One myspace account for music, and youtube for music and anything else i find interesting.
My brain cell couldn't cope with anymore. It's not easy remembering different passwords :o)

i do have MSN & yahoo but the trick here is when you register your MSN just type in your yahoo adress :-) why have 2 email account ?

No dear, it's not just you. lol. I have MySpace, YouTube, Yahoo, MSN, BlogTalkRadio, Gmail, AKO, and a host of other things that I don't even remember to check half the time. I feel so overwhelmed by it sometimes and I just withdraw from everything (except my Gmail). But BlogTalkRadio is fun, so that's my latest "thing." I'm kind of over YouTube at the moment because people get demanding about you putting out more vids. lol. Great vid. No, you're not the only one! lol.

Does anyone else feel like all this registration is used in some database to identify and categorize you? Being anonymous on the Internet is nearly impossible. It's all used as a cross reference. Perhaps you use an anonymous ID for Youtube, but then link to your myspace with your full name, address, pix and friends...well guess what? You've just been Zero'd in. Not saying this is a good thing or a bad, but lets stop pretending you can be completely anonymous online.

Then you have all the banking sites etc, it's kinda scary how my personal info is all over the internet.. What can you do? :\

Blackplanet (which I'm hardly on), Myspace, and Yahoo. I just use YouTube for commenting on videos, Mediatakeout (shame to say that) to blog, and hotmail as my business email.
I'm soon getting off BP and going to join BPM. Chatting can be a valuable resource for networking & meeting lifelong friends & as long as you're not neglecting your responsibilities & using it as the complete source of your social life I don't see a problem with it.

What a good brother. I have been challenged at the stores I go to. I went to some flea market type of used bookseller and had 3 used books that I wanted to sell. Just create a new e-mail account, make up all your cool personal stats, write them on a piece of paper and post above your monitor. Just three hotmail accounts - one for newsletters etc from music sites, one for friends and family, and one for the sake of it which i don't use. One myspace account for music, and youtube for music and anything else i find interesting.
My brain cell couldn't cope with anymore. It's not easy remembering different passwords :o)
