please reply, I use fraps and a separate audio recorder, so I use pinnacle to put them together, but when I put the fraps video into pinnacle studio the quality turns grainy, any idea how to make it look as good as it was without putting it in pinnacle?

@Billsthenamefirst that is probably a product of the preview, just try rendering a small portion with the same settings I used and see if the render looks any better.

@WilderChris that is not true, because DV records in the wrong aspect ratio. And if you adjust the ascpet ratio to the right one, it will downgrade your quality.

@Poncho340 its becasue you cant play it in windows media player, go into windows movie maker, import the video file then goto file->save movie as->then choose any quality you want and let it publish into a wmv file, then it should be able to be played, hope this helps

Actually, his computer might be powerful enough. The problem is the Datarate, which is set as 10. Ten will cause problems, Eight is what Dazzle supports!

@NECOxInMidNight I see the problem. The best thing that I could recommend you do is get Sony Vegas Pro 10 (it is super easy to get free, just look up a tut). It will give you the ability to edit out all the black bars and stuff.

@JTGillray just record it and make sure your aspect ratio is 16:9. Then edit the video with the picture-in-picture effect to stretch it out to fit full screen if it still doesn't fit.

@jliossatos ok, so I had some lag problems as well at the beginning. The only way to fix this is to get a new computer unfortunately. It means your computer cannot handle recording with your dazzle.

@XiR3LAPZEiX yeah, he is right. I works very well for things that are recorded with the "DV" setting. Since 16:9 is the official aspect ratio I would recomend doing that. I have used that on many of my recent videos.

@Kozoozles You are recording on the DV setting probably. There is lots of things that could also give that effect such as Windows Movie Maker, Recordig in DV, or saving it in the 4:3 aspect ratio. Try adding "yt:stretch=16:9" to your tags of that video and see if that fixes it.

@CursedKyuubi22 ok, well, there is two options to make your videos look good through the preview. you could have followed what i did in this video, or if this didnt work for you, there is another way. you could go to the side option in the recording area and switch it to record in mpeg and drag the bar to 99%. if you dont know what i mean, then you can feel free to comment back.
