  • What's with the fake crowd noise? Bullshat

  • QOTSA can do no wrong!! I now like this song

  • I have a feeling they would have preferred to do one of their more favored Sabbath tracks than something as generic as paranoid but I'm sure the people in charge told them it had to be the song that everyone knows. That said it's a pretty sweet performance considering they probably just wung it. Castillo is beasting all over the drums

  • Like?? Where the fuck is the LOVE button???

  • You know, I'm a Sabbath fan but I just can't stand Sharon Osbourne at all.

And it's funny knowing that Josh and Billy Gibbons jam together but Nickelback ended up doing the ZZ Top tribute...

  • You can tell Josh didn't really care. I wonder how high he was, too.

  • 1:01 now that should put down some weight

  • the fat moshing guys are mega lolz

  • G O D S

  • someday bands will play songs from the queens as a big big tribute to them.

  • 00:29 "I'm so proud of him!"

  • The Queens of the Stone Age bringing a tribute to the kings of the metal age. Awesome.

  • Queens of the Stone Age forever!! Sababath everlasting.

  • Queens manage to get everything right always

  • the guitar riff and the mixing of the audience cheering makes this feel like guitar hero

  • good cover, too bad they added the sound of a screaming audience in the background.. so annoying

  • Josh Homme is such a loose cat

  • Uh, the guy at 1:37...nuff said.

  • They rock the fuck out of that tribute!

  • @RattusNorvegicus100 Josh and Ozzy do not hate each other. Josh hates Sharon.

  • How they looks ehh this was awesome group 2000 to 2003.

  • This drummer will never be as good as Bill Ward.....

  • Josh's guitar tone is fantastic!!

  • The funny thing is:

no fancy variation of this song, ever.

    Is was perfect.

    It will always be perfect.

Nothing spared, nothing added: you have a perfect song!

    A true tribute!

  • @OldGreaser666 Well, they changed the drum line. ;)

  • @OldGreaser666 also they played it a down a step

  • but they didn't try to make it a mess. right?

  • QotSA and Sabbath are lessons for life

  • 1:39 ...Anything Sabbath/Ozzy related and that bloke is there! :) what a guy haha

  • @AndyNarcotic was he in the heaven and hell video screaming his ass off when went to get a autograph?

  • @mentalfeed70 Haha yep thats the guy :P also on the Ameoba site theres a vid of an Ozzy signing and hes screaming his ass off there too, gotta admit hes commited haha

  • @AndyNarcotic yeah he must be pretty well off to because he can afford to go to all these different events all the time.

  • @AndyNarcotic Is that the guy who was screaming "The GODS ARE HERE! SABBATH SABBATH!" at TDYK record signing in LA or whatever?

  • @GangstaLink Yeah its the same guy :D hes also giving the same treatment to Ozzy at an instore signing on a vid on the Ameoba website, gotta admit the guys comitted :)

  • wow amazing

  • lol at 1:39 old metalhead getting all pumped up

  • They're fuckin playing it in D! They downtune everything, also other people's songs..i like it :) awesome band

  • @GlennMosby actually they're playing in C standard (downtuned 2 whole steps) black sabbath also downtuned to C# on some of their later albums.

  • 2:21 GUNT :-)

  • Comment removed

  • wooooow wasn't expecting to get a suggested video of qotsa doing paranoid absolutely AWSUM!!!

  • lol look in the beggining pause at 0:00

  • @mentalfeed70 what did i miss???

  • @03nolank you have to pause exactly at that time and a funny face comes up,

  • @mentalfeed70 ohhhhhh you mean her big fat gob lol

  • @mentalfeed70 funny shit man

  • @MrBMJ hahahahaha I know huh?

  • It's a ninja :D

  • Uh... "Make a joke and I will cry and you will laugh and I will cry?"

  • Great song, amazing band. Too bad this was a concert for the deaf or dead.

  • I wish Queens would make an entire Sabbath tribute album - I'd love to hear their take on Lord of This World, Planet Caravan (etc. etc.)

  • @PoorlyMadeFilms I would want to hear them do Sabra Cadabra and Symptoms of the Universe

  • @jvsmith77 And let us not forget Sweet Leaf

  • @PoorlyMadeFilms yeah people don't know queens of the stone age they just judge them on there singles and think they are indie/alternative when in reallity they have a huge sabbath influence thats why they get labled stoner metal but most metalheads rather listen to crap like Cannibal Corpse

  • its not the heavy metal king, its : the prince of darkness

  • great cover !

  • They sound like they learned the song right before they went onstage.

  • live where-when?

  • The speed is so impressive!

  • Sorry man, but i think the Queens can do far better than this. This is fucking lame!!! Has to sound like this: watch?v=_aIhh9nFYv4

  • It's amazing, but with all my respect to Joey Castillo, I bet Dave Grohl on drums would make this cover sound better.

  • 1:38 - HOLY FUCKINGSHIT THIS IS AMAZING.

  • fucking crwod so lame,

    fucking great cover

  • joey is wearing a shirt 0.0

  • Has anyone a clue what guitar Josh is using here?

  • @MiTsChiIi94 Maton bb1200

  • @peterchilds1

That's just what I've wrote. Why has my comment been deleted?!

  • @MiTsChiIi94 Maton guitar

  • @mattvibe1 thanks, buddy. (:

  • anybody notice how josh wrote cunt on his arm? but mtv must have made him change it to gunt!! hahahaha

  • theres just know way on this earth you could stand & not sing a long to an all time classic song performed to perfection unless you know fuck all about real music that is!

  • their drummer is so fucking white trash :D lol i love this band but..the drummer looks like something out of a horror film.

  • @lfctwentytwo Dude, hes mexican...

  • @lfctwentytwo Hes the Sexy Mexi!

  • 1:38 "Maybe they are Queens, but i'm fuckin KING..."

  • Homme is so fucking talented....

  • @Zosoking513 totally agree

  • 1:54 is an epiphone supernova!

  • @oasisoasis21 it's troy's as well lol

  • Amazing quality o_o

  • Johnny Drama at 1:54

  • Did anyone else notice that Josh wrote "Gunt" on his arm? 2:22

  • heaps good crowd

  • 1:01 Peter Griffin rockin his mind out for the queens!

  • Fucking amazing

  • THIS IS EPIC

  • Dean on guitar is awesome!! :D

  • @casmiry someone thought it was allen glad you got it

  • @BoothJudas no way, cause this was probably shot in 2007-2008, and Allain was in the band around 2005-2006.

  • @casmiry exactly, my dear watson

  • Hah this is a pretty simple song for QOTSA to play, sounds weird seeing them play such straightforward riffs.

  • @hudsonmarco ? Lots of their songs feature not overly complicated riffs that they just pound into your head over and over. Kinda their style. Etc, misfit love, battery acid, Sick sick sick, Turnin on the screw, Burn the witch, feel good hit of the summer, Quick and to the pointless.

  • @B66R90

Fair play but I'd say on this song in particular both the lead and rythm part are very straightforward whereas in the songs that you mentioned there's usually at least one part with something a bit more complicated. Troy looks bored in this!

  • @hudsonmarco I gotcha.

  • I love the queens, of course, but why would they agree to do this? the cover is tight sure, but its pretty much the same as the original, nothing special

  • I love the shot at 0:22 ....noticing the guy with the epic mustache and overall cool attitude? yeah....he is basically the only one who's singing along...i bet the rest of the guys have never even heard the song before....

  • The guy at 0:29 is thinking this is some knockoff band covering Black Sabbath, when really it is a band that is better in their days than Black Sabbath ever was.

  • haha josh sounds very strange

  • a tribute to the kings, by the queens :D

  • so good

  • What!? Awesome music being played on MTV!? Hope the devil has a parka 'cause hell just froze over!!!

  • Fucking amazing. Great cover of an already great song. The Queens are so good, I bet they could make Nickelback songs awesome.

  • @loonypalooza

They probably could make everything good.

  • @Sitzlaolabar

    They did.

  • @loonypalooza Why would they cover Nickelback?

  • @frankiszero I don't think they ever would, and I hope that they never do. Nickelback has brought shame to all Canadians. I still can't believe we pumped that shit out, it deserves to remain in the septic tank that it came from. Long live the Queens!!!!

  • @loonypalooza man, canadians have SONS OF OTIS

  • @yovioleatuzorramadre we also have 3 Inches of Blood and Death from Above 1979 among many other amazing bands. Hell, Canada is the birthplace to some of the most talented artists in the world man. It's just that the shitty Canadians like Nickelback and Justin Bieber seemed to be the most infamous and drag the rest of us down with them.

  • @loonypalooza Nickelback is nowhere close to QOTSA dude

  • @Levente20 I think you misunderstood my statement. I said I bet they could make their shit good. Nickleback sucks balls. However, I argued that The Queens could make shitty generic rock, like Nickleback, sound good, because Qotsa is that good. Understand now? I can't make it any simpler.

  • @loonypalooza nickelback sucks shit

  • @Levente20 Not just any shit, but like extreme liquid diarrhea Smoothy shit. Damn Nickleback! Even their name fucking sucks shit. I mean come on, they are named after receiving change from a Starbucks. What the fuck!?

  • @Levente20 yes

    they do

  • @loonypalooza They could, but they would have to work on that one...

  • @loonypalooza I'm sorry but no force in the whole of reality could make nickelback good, the only thing nickleback songs are good for is torture.

  • @DrQuackinducks It's true...my government has actually sanctioned it's use to get information out of people. We Canadians are not proud of this, but the use of Nickleback has saved countless lives, like at least 2. Though Nickleback's music has killed thousands sooo kinda defeating the purpose...

  • go troy!

  • LOL @ 1:38

  • when was this?

  • Which Eagle of Death Metal is here? Everyone here is in Queens. Unless you're counting Josh or Joey, otherwise I'm stumped.

  • @cherryrexxacola1 nah its qotsa..josh,joey and troy are there arnt they

  • @vergazonorteno Well yeah, but the guy had something about members of Queens of the Stone Age and Eagles of Death Metal were performing this. He's changed it now, but....idk, nevermind.

  • @cherryrexxacola1 oh i didnt know lol..but yeah qotsa man lol..fuckin sick ass band tho....lol

  • fucking great!!!!!!!!

    i love qotsa!!!!!

  • oh man mtv people are so stupid! theyre all just standing there going "what qotsa song is this, oh its over lets clap"

  • @swedishbutcher What? No! They're people singing with them and the older ones are happy to see this.

  • where and when?

  • whats that sky blue guitar?...i thought it was daves dg 335 but it has f shaped holes...

  • thanks for posting with good quality! awesome performance

homme has 'gunt' written on his arm for sharon osborn. she bad mouthed him, and since he couldnt write 'cunt', he wrote gunt. homme said he did his part because sharon didnt know what it meant haha

  • This song has always sounded really punky to me... Sabbath were just ahead of their time. It's funny seeing QOTSA do a sabbath cover since Kyuss always were compared to them, and the fact that the band had never really liistened to them. Maybe they hhave since

  • solid cover

  • GUNT

  • that guy at 0:31 looks disgusted. He could quite possibly be having his face melted because of the musicianship this band has,

  • two bands are great but this catwalk sucks

  • what does GUNT mean?

  • @loranceb a large cunt

  • this is just qotsa not eodm!

  • Awesome cover...

  • Josh has "GUNT" written on his arm

  • cunt ?

  • the crowd must know what they are playing...i hope

  • @QOTSAPT Its a tribute show to Black Sabbath?

  • @JibadeauxFox probably i was just joking cause the audience clearly knows black sabatth but they probably dont know qotsa

  • @QOTSAPT Well hopefully it got their name out there. Era Vulgaris was like a second breakout for them with all this guitar hero bullshit.

  • @JibadeauxFox one thing funny to take from this moment is that josh always hated to play on the ozzfest and im sure he doesnt like black sabath either

  • @QOTSAPT Homme likes Sabbath a lot, he just doesn't like Ozzy's solo shit or Sharon's piss-poor attitude

  • @NuclearGuru350 i think we all know the reason at least the biggest but he has admited to dislike the stoner movement cause it is serioulsly ridiculous depressed music and a lot of drugs and everything sounds the same 20 years straight im sure he liked sabbath but im sure he doesnt like the sabbath of nowadays simply they are where they were innovative at the time not now

  • @QOTSAPT well sure not now...they're not really a band now. Who doesn't like Sabbath though? They set the standard and they're one of the coolest bands ever. Are you forgetting that Homme was in Kyuss, one of the heaviest rock bands of the 90s?

  • @NuclearGuru350 i did liked them im not trashing sabbath i know that homme was on kyuss when he was young than he evolved to another genre of music every kid spent some time of his life high and some bands dont get that those times have passed so move on

  • @QOTSAPT you don't have to be a stoner to enjoy heavy music

  • @NuclearGuru350 I know but some people like to act like they were and like it was a great thing everyone smokes but more than that is very harmfulll and stupid and there are also the fake stoners

  • good

  • thx. its the only best hd :D
