I agree Florida sucks! Did anyone see the first new Bevis and butthead when they are playing the mgmt song, *hobo zombie and monster on sidewalk enter frame* "wait is that Florida?" "idk wait, yea that's Florida, Florida sucks"
Best song of the night at the concert i went to. During the "Alcohol , Dirty Malls, Pensacola Flordia Bars" The whole band got quiet and every single person in the crowd sang. It was amazing
@andypants1792 listen to the opening vocals of this song (this is the only one on the album) then listen to "in the ocean" then for their softer songs "let it go" ;)
their best album will always be "mean everything to nothing" and simple math did not change it
I love Manchester Orchestra but this song sounds way too much like Fun. at the end of the song. Like instrumentals and vocals all. In fact most of the songs from this album seem to have heavy influences from other bands which is hard to avoid, but the similarity with Fun. who is a very unique band is hard to ignore.
this is my first time listening to the band after hearing a lot about them, especially through their tours with Brand New which I missed, but I have to say that I'm not feeling this at all. Its just not memorable to me, but each to their own etc
@TheInvisibleCollege Music is too subjective to rate. The best way for me to ruin the experience of an album is to read what somebody else wrote about it either before or after listening to it. Hence, Pitchfork is just a bunch of blah blah in my opinion
manchester used to play pensacola/fort walton all the time from 2006-2008 / they would play w/ bands like Colour Revolt, Sovus Radio, Carolina/Antebellum & With Hatchet, Pike and Gun / they used to chill w/ the band members in the bars after the show and get hammered and talk about how the music scene in pensacola used to produce the music that they used to listen to growing up. They were a little disappointed that the music scene in pensacola had died....
I love Pensacola. Laid back city atmosphere and not fifteen minutes away the best beaches in the United States. Now, hopefully the crew will come down and play here one day. Bring Brand New and Kevin Devine with them.
Not necessarily Pensacola but rather just getting wasted and letting it affect your family life. I'm betting he's mentioning Pensacola because since they're from Atlanta they probably have came down here to party a few times when they were younger. Perhaps there's a real story behind it somewhere.
