  • I've read that the wing flipping is a reaction that baby birds do...your bird is either still young or he is just trying to say, "Look at me; I'm a cute little baby and you KNOW you want to give me food and attention..." :P

  • wing flipping is a medical condition that is described as involuntary and repetitive movement of the wings, and is repetitive and continuous. It can be due to many factors including nutrional/dietary problems (over supplementing of vitamins and minerals), metal toxicity or calcium deficiency. i would do some reasearch on it or see a vet.

  • i am surprised that he would be sold to you while he was still begging for food (the head bobbing). He should be able to fully eat on his own before he was sold to you. The wing flipping i am not sure about. How are things going with him now?

  • I dont know if this is a "baby" thing or not, my red lord just started doing this same thing and she is nearly a year old. It could be nurological, heavy metal poison, or nutritional.

  • He thinks you are going to feed him because you are his new mama! He is just a baby

  • That wing flipping is a baby reaction...many babies do that...I will send you a video of others

  • @waxiz22 Do they grow out of it? My baby ringneck does it. And it has me worried :o
