Hi Broz, when I'm in the deep position of the snatch I tend to support my weight on the sides of the feet, not in the whole flat sole. Is this bad at all? Do I need to increase my flexibility? Thanks!
Hey Broz, I am combining olympic lifting, powerlifting and plyometrics for javelin throwing. Currently, I am doing olympic weightlifting twice a week, once on power and once on speed. However, I am doing it in the same training as my powerlifting. I always do the olympic lifting before the powerlifting. Do you think this combination can work? I don't do much reps with powerlifting, since I train on strength and not mass. Furthermore I do 1 more day of powerlifting, where I dont do olympic lifts
@MrMovinweight working on some new vids. should have a few in the next week or so. Training hard for Nationals and during this time the lifts are grinders and below usual numbers.
Thanks Broz! I have started this type of training for the military. Which I hope to join eventually. I can't believe I'm making progress, while feeling tired as hell. 1 question though. Do you think for squats I can work up to a 1RM then do 2-3 sets of triples? Then slowly increase the volume until i'm doing 30 reps total? I'm also power cleaning 6days/ week then either push press or deadlifts. Then in the afternoon I do push ups, sit ups and pull ups, The military makes us so might aswell do it
@OhmgrownCron who knows what your are capable of. NO ONE was born with an instruction manual. It might be possible for you to do 3000 reps total. Only you can find out what your limits are.
Coach Broz, just a quik question. The Bulgarian system has their lifters doing 'sessions" which are roughly 45 mins, then breaks. Is this how Average Broz operates i.e. Pat, Rob and the full time lifters, or is everything condensed in their 2 daily workouts. I ask because I just moved beside my gym and have time on my hands, so I've been doing these "snatch session" workouts, then pm could be fs for example, would I see alot of progress from this?
hey broz. i got a pistols competition coming up in 5 months and need a lot of (specific) strength for that. could i treat it like your squatting and do them daily? i know they can be dangerous but never had a problem as long as i didn't go to max, but something like sets of 3 would be fine. what do you think?
Right at the top of his weight class, solid clean/jerk, solid snatch. Things are looking up for this kid! Oh, and forgot to mention a brilliant coach... that always helps a bit ;)

@TreeSmoke1999 for now we are doing 2x/day. Ideal conditions would be for 4-6 sessions, but driving to the gym makes that unrealistic.
