According to Kishore Kumar ji, he never learnt music. But still he is so natural and control of his singing. I have alwayes liked this brilliant actor, singer who was very good human being.Here also he sings so beautifully with ease.

just feel so wonderful listening to this song, I am 46 yr young but love songs which were existing even before i was born. Yes, i too remember this song being played on ceylon radio on every 1st and the broadcasters voice were so sing-song, i wud love hearing them too. Today being 1st, i remembered this song (i do so every month actually) and was telling my young colleagues abt this song, so played this song for them to hear. I always enjoyed the "paanch aane ka da aana/ppanch aane ka das aana". How perfectly Kishore Kumar aped the cinema balck - ticketers.... Time has changed. Today, our salaries directly go to our accounts and v use ATM & Credit Cards unlike our fathers giving us crisp 1 Rs. notes on every 1st.

I remember when I was 4 or 5 years old and studying in Kindergarten class at Ajmer. For some reason we would always have a holiday on the 1st of every month. My parents would never remind me. I would get all dressed up and be ready for school. Then my father used to start the radio (at that time Radio Ceylon), which always used to play this song on the first. I would then joyfully fling away my school bag and uniform and dance a jig because it was a HOLIDAY. Sweet memories.
