In the graveyard i have been, a body i have seen, from the sharp burn I have dreamed that body was me. And the music in my ear, hows life be full of fear. Block music in my ear, clear notes coming here. Twisted face's eyes seem to appear, hows life be full of fear, all at once i stepped out of a dream but the body that was me.
They're very akin, i see but i hope it can help. Anyway, wonderful song from a wonderful band!
In a graveyard I have been A body I have seen From the sharp burn I had dreamed but body was me And the music in my ear Hounds like me full of fear God/got (depends on accent from) music in my ear clear notes coming there Twisted faces I seem to appear Hounds life me full of fear All at once I stepped out of a dream but a body, it was me"
This takes me back to te 10 -12 slot on Radio 1 in the early 70s, despite the subject matter it brings back good memories of friends such as Philip, Graham and Martha.
I only just got turned onto this track via the Gather In the Mushrooms comp, and it's become nothing less than an obsession. I wake up in the morning with it playing in my head. Brilliance.
I haven't played the Forest album very much.... but I've listened to Full Circle every day for the last month!!! :) Every song on it is as good as this one...
Best I could do so far: In a graveyard I have been A body I have seen From the sharp burn I had dreamed (?) that body was me And the music in my ear Hounds like me full of fear (???) that music in my ear clear notes coming here Twisted faces I seem to appear Hounds life me full of fear All at once I stepped out of a dream but a body was me
@daddopaddo In a graveyard I have been - A body I have seen - From the sharp burn I had dreamed - That body was me - And the music in my ear - Hounds life me full of fear - Got/God music in my ear - Clear notes coming here - Twisted faces I seem to appear - Hounds life me full of fear - All at once I stepped out of a dream - But a body that was me. I updated it for you.
Wonderful to hear this again. The album went missing somewhere along the way (between Canterbury and Nottingham). Think 'Homeless in an English winter'... and you'll 'get it'.
If the artists ever log on to this upload then please accept belated thanks from one of your fans...

Simply beautiful... does anyone have ANY sort of audio file of this or where I can ascertain it? It would be hugely appreciated.

"Forest" was beautiful with the LP sound at my parent's house. but with CD..... it was like just an imitation of the LP sound.

Does anyone have the lyrics for this? I've been trying to make them out from the recording but there are too many places where I'm completely blank.
Also, beautiful and very eerie song, best kind of folk there is.
