it works the same way as the joystick on a keyboard. it has a ribbon strip on the top which generally will bend the pitch, and then there's a large buton below it that does vibrato. that's what i have it set on for that sound..you can set them to do whatever you want, like add wah and things of that nature.

A bit of bad news for the keytar you're looking for, there is only one still being manufactured at least from what I know, and it only comes in white :( I wanted one in baby blue! But if you're still interested go look up Roland AX-Synth

the one in the vid has been discontinued years ago. Roland though has released AX-SYNTH, a keytar with sound engine, and it's the only decent keytar i know of out in stores.

you can still get an ax 7 on ebay..they are good keytars but they are just controllers. i've seen difference color ones too like black and red..but you can always get them painted at body shop or something like that

It's relatively easy seeing as the strap over your shoulder is holding the keyboard up for you. It looks much better if you're able to play with one hand and apply the effects with the other.
