simmons just takes all the good pads on the market and steals their design. as a goalie who just bought 1600 dollar pads to see simmons with the same design kinda pisses me off.
hey everyone i need a suggestion, im custom ordering the vaughn velocity 3 7500's. do you think i should go with the weave fabric on the pad or should i stay with the smooth fabric?
wow goalie freak! some is in black out mode! you just a bad goalie! its okay for you to admit that your a piece of shit wit no talent you useless tit! didnt your mom teach you any manners when you were fuckin her! go eat a dick!
the leather straps r bullshit i tried on my bran new pads at home and i dont even put verry much preassure on the strap and it snaps i was swearing alot
its cause your a shitty goalie, you couldn't stop a beach ball to save your life. Don't be stupid and by those useless RBK's. You just gotta be a better goalie
first fuck u u stupid cunt i wasint using rbk pads i was using vaughn and the strap snaped so you can go tell your daddy this story tonite while ur blowing his one inch pich u fucking son of a bitch
i'm 5'7 and wear 36+1 v3's and i hate them. the butterfly is trash and they are heavy and feel short. i i'm getting new pads and idk if i should get RBK's or vaughn's again. any suggestions?
i say rbk i had the 6k pads and play roller in the uk, which puts more wear on them cuz of the friction and they haven't worn out too much so i'd recomend them.
Are you kidding me man. I'm 5'11 and i wear 37 ich pads. I'm getting a new pair and I'll be going with 36. Your pads are way to big for you and that is why you suck. You should probably go with 34 or 35's max.
It makes a large difference what kind of pad you wear. I'm wearing old school Brian's beast pads right now and have been for many years. I will be going to a more traditional butterfly pad this time with Vaughn v4 vintage 35+1. Don't forget pads do shrink over years and they get watered down. If i were to go with Rbk pads i would go with 35 inch pads and that's it. I have been playing goalie my hole life and have a lot of experience so if you have any questions, just leave me a message.
I don't know much about the diffrence from the the reg 7400 and the slw's, but but the slw is alot lighter. You should try both on if possible though.
go to your local store or what ever and try on the pads. if your knee fits exactly in the knee cup, thats your fit. i am 5 foot 5 and i use a 33" and it fits perfect
I have the new Simmons Ultra Light 5 and THe pads are realy great, but the material isnt as good as the v3. The performance is just as good, but my pad rip after my 3rd use (Got it fixed though)
also the blocker i have, the flaps that cover your fingers, the stitching that holds that it is riping. No problem with the glove yet . Its a good pad but Seriously they need better material. Everyone try Gdi pads1 the 38 inch is lighter then Reebok 27 inch. Find a Gdi camp and try and demo the pads
these are good pads but i think more people should buy Don Simmons pads. there a couple hundred dollars cheaper and they are just as good as these pads or any other pro pad. they just cost less because they don't endorse their products and you buy from them factory direct. Simmons is just as good as any brand out there so goalies if ur lookin for new pads give Simmons a try. you wont be disappointed.
To be completely honest, Simmons is infact not as good as the Vaughn Velocity 3 7500 Leg Pad. My cousin and i did a test over a 2 month basis and the Simmons pads show way more wear and shrinkage after its 2 months. The V3 showed very little wear and minimum shrinkage. So even though they cost less at the moment of payment they will not last as long as V3's therefore costing you more in another set of pads.
well what you think of as wear and tear might be nothing for me, unless the pads are actually ripped like my old koho's, i'm not gona get new ones. and you are the first person i have ever heard say that pads shrink. because i get at least two years of use out of every set of leg pads i get and i have never noticed them getting smaller. and i am just wondering what pair of simmons pads you used to test in you little experiment because that makes all of the difference.
@thhYungBoss ive had Simmons for a year and i love them. for the price and everything i think they are well worth it. this is all my opinion but i find them lighter and much more comfortable then the v3s right off the bat.
i just baught a pair of v3 leg pads at Daves sporting goods store in Fridley minnesota they were $1175. they are really stif now but i love how comfortable they are. they are 32+1
My mistake, Larsen. They are actually in Oxford, Michigan, not Minnesota as I stated. Sorry about that. I just ordered a pair of the Velocity 7500's today. In Illinois, with tax they ran me a little over $1,400.00.
Very cool, Larsen! That's what mine are. I got the 32 inch plus 1 as I have always liked a shorter pad. How do you like yours? I customed ordered mine so they say I am looking at about an 8 to 10 week wait. Oh well, my current Vaughns are about 20 years old so I guess waiting a few more months can't hurt, huh? LOL
for 100$, alrighty there bud, a 1500$ pad for only 100$, if u did get them for 100$ they were either stolen or u went down to africa and got it straight from the sweat shops
hey this is 989sean989, i actualy had Vaughn V2 pads and I was going to get RBK 8k but then I got some more money and got RBK P2s, the V3 was just a typing error
