  • hmm, no safety straps/harness etc, drill not at 90 degree's, is that a specially used 18mm drill bit and nozzel not the usual 26 hmmm oh drill hole very close to flue..

  • It is very interesting to see your house.

    When the house was built?

To isolate the house is a very good idea.

  • @WoelkerVideo The house is now eleven years old. We have lived here since 2004.

  • OH OH Micky Dees here we come hahaha

  • a very interesting video again Mike

Must say looks like a nice solid brick house

You should save money now on eat and AC

  • @canvids1 Thanks for commenting Wayne. I think it was a spelling error but my wife will be very pleased to hear there should be more money avaiable to eat out!

  • We had cellulose insulation blown in, they pressurize the insualtion to 5 psi to get everywhere, then checked with infared and door fan to de pressuize the house. Our gas bill was cut in half, much more conforrtable now. you will love it

  • @2stroketurbo Thats good to hear! Interesting that your company checked with infra red. I did wonder how they could be absolutely sure the beads had reached everywhere.

  • We hired the infared test separate, the insulation company had to come back and fill the cavities they missed. We had them put 24" in the attic as well. Now we cannot hear air planes flying above. We also did a CFM leak test of the house before and after. We reduced drafts by 1700 cfm, almost like shutting a window that was open at all times. Incredible difference, and energy saving program help w cost. Our Craftsman house was built in 1914 in Portland Oregon, we have simular climate as you.

  • @2stroketurbo Very interesting. Trust you to be so thorough! It was worth it i can see, to achieve such benefits..

  • Very enjoyable, Dave! :)

  • @trainfart Thanks for watching! I expect its even more important to have in a house in Germany which can get much colder than the UK.

  • Good job there where no electric cables in the cavity, but you suprised me that insulation was not fitted when the house was built.

  • @howarth004 Me too! I was concerned to see the drilling going on near water pipes etc but noticed that they seldom drilled far into the cavity, just breaking through the outer brick.

  • The device was probably some kind of endoscope.

  • @w0033944 Thanks Chris. I didnt catch its name! Very useful though! .It must have batteries fitted too, to power it, in such a slim compact tube!
