@niallobinghe, chip on your shoulder much? If you don't like/agree with OBOD, why watch the videos? Is it just to leave your negative opinions that none of us are interested in?
What a brilliant and inspiring segment to be shown on television. I'm glad that druidism and paganism is reaching a level of acceptance where this sort of program can be aired on public T.V.
I too, am so pleased to see this being shown on the BBC and seeing Christians open to learning something about Druid rituals (and beliefs, Reverend) which really lifts my spirits. I've been on a journey for the last ten years or so, trying to work out what I believe in and seem to for ever go in circles, finding it difficult to move away from Christ and yet Loving the spirit of our planet. I think I'll have to be a Christo-Druid, or maybe even a Culdee! Peace and love to all. -O- /|\
Thank you Liz. It is so wonderful seeing Aidan again, even for a second on this! It is such a testament to him and the "blithesome" butterfly way he saw life. Thank you - we loved him dearly.
You're welcome. I only met Aidan once - at the OBOD Summer Assembly in 2005 where the footage for this news report was taken - but I shall not forget his spirit, humour and wisdom. Liz x
I'd like to dedicate this video to Aidan, who was the butterfly emerging from the cauldron of re-birth in the ceremony below Glastonbury Tor shown in this clip. He died peacefully this morning. May his journey to the Summerlands be blessed.
Yeah well , power mad men have been raping Mother Earth for to long, and People have had Enough of watching some among us drive to church to pray, polluting the air all the way.
If Saving Mother Earth does not become the new religion for all, then we are all fucked, regardless of ones beliefs about reality.
But then while many try to agree about who's right about what, some among us are determining the future for all of us.
It's flat out, overwhelming to see this. Atleast there's a sign now that not everyone has to be against what they do not understand - and can take the time to see why so many people believe in Paganism.
It's nice to see some traditional christians actually taking the time to see what paganism is about before making jugements. It's also nice to see bbc covering sabbats :)

Videos such as this show O.B.O.D. as the acceptable face of Druidry, as practiced
by new age pensioners, maing the step from high church to 'druid' relatively easy.
for instance the Awen chant [my Welsh mentor told me this word was whispered] is
Amen with one letter reversed. this is all nice and benign but will one day evolve and throw off the new age clothes..

I don´t know you, I´m a pagan from Brazil.
But I really hope your Aidan is in Summerland.
He is happy for seeing you are living. I know you will mis him, but Lizpearce, he is fine with the Goddess.

Well remeber she doesn't need to be saved, we do. She will be here after us and will regenerate.
