  • This guy is the biggest douchebag in the Wedge Document Shill Gang......

  • Considering the last 12 clips, I would most definitely whisper about him if I were on the same hallway as he - not out of his skepticism against evolution, but because of his faulty reasoning shown in these last 12 clips..

  • @ttcmp0

Can you give me an example of this faulty reasoning?

  • @periechontology Sure, how about last 12 clips? Okay.. I'm probably overstating here.. Here is an example, you could for example check out clip 8 about evolution. There he reasons that the underlying mechanism in evolution is completely random process. This is simply wrong (natural selection, anyone?) and he even contradicts himself in clip 8 (talking about the deterministic part). I dissected every single word in clip 8 and found he was contradicting himself and talking bullshit about evolution

  • Evolutionism demands a disconnection from reality. Its purpose is to numb, anesthetize, beleaguer & tranquilize. Logic, experience, morality, altruism can find no home, nor niche, in this inhuman, eugenics-based orthodoxy that purports a science (a knowledge) of an antiquity that realistically could not be. An antiquity populated by mutants in transition; weakened by their impossible plight of digits/appendages & internal organs irreconcilably at odds with the water, land & climate.

  • [Evolutionists can't be brain-washed as they haven't enough grey matter.]

  • Berlinski is blinking very much and he seems to have problems holding eye contact with the interviewer, he is also looking away a lot. All signs of lying.

  • @baldurus1 Good rebuttal. What is he lying about in this clip? He gave an opinion. Seems to make a whole lot of sense to me!

  • Evolution was accepted 150 years ago, too late to count the number of changes to try and prove it wrong.

  • I think one main reason that neo-darwinian theory is so resistant to rational criticism is that, it's disorientating to consider that a fundamental tenet of our culture, that's shared by figures you like and respect, and you've always assumed to be common sense, is wrong.

Dawkins and other atheists say the same kind of thing about questioning religion and God, and they're probably right, but that's not the only example.

  • @gerontodon neo-darwinian therory? wtf, lol

  • @FlyinSpaghettiMnstr7

I dunno, I thought the dispute was about whether mutation and selection by the environment is sufficient to explain most biological diversity-- and that hypothesis is a central tenet of 'neo-darwinism'. I know, because it says so in an Oxford University Press book called 'Neo-darwinism'. Berlinski is sympathetic to ID, but rightly, thinks it's a related, but distinct issue.

If 'neo-darwinism' *isn't* the issue discussed in this vid, God knows what it *is*.

  • @gerontodon you mean evolution?

  • @FlyinSpaghettiMnstr7

If neo-darwinism means 'evolution' then why do supporters of it, like Barbara Forrest claim that even if it is abandoned (as some secular humanist biologists think it should be), that 'evolution' would still be true?

So no I don't mean 'evolution'- it's too vague a term to be of any use to anyone apart from those who wish to use bait and switch to confuse and obfuscate, and want to keep things definitions vague so that they can redefine their position if necessary.

  • @gerontodon Gravity is a process. We have the math [law of gravity] and the theory of relitivity that explains how it happens.

Evolution is a process. It happens. We have the theory of evolution that explains it. If you want to prove it wrong you need to come up with a better theory to explain how evolution happens.

  • @gregrutz

Where's the math that shows that random mutation and selection by the environment can create complex systems that have a clear purpose? I've read about calculations that seem to negate such a premise, but none that support it. I'm no mathematician or information theorist, but I'd have thought that if there was good reason to think that darwinian processes could have done what's been claimed, someone would have some figures to show.

  • @gerontodon They have the fossils to show. Mr. Butinski is a math teacher and can't seem to count so he thinks it can't happen. Life is not a product of chance so math does not apply.

  • @gregrutz

I don't agree that I need to provide another mechanism to disbelieve that a darwinian one is adequate. For one thing, I personally don't believe that the process is entirely mechanistic, tho there will be hugely complex mechanistic aspects to it. Even if it *were* entirely mechanistic, it doesn't follow that I have to provide it. I don't know who represents Singapore at the UN, would I have to believe it if you told me it was Britney Spears?

  • Wing-nut! The insanity of Berlinski just gets better and better.

    Now it's a conspiracy.

  • @kshackleton

He didn't say that. Did you even watch this? For heaven sake it's just one minute long.

Also, thank you for proving his point about "unholy zealousness".

  • @kshackleton

Berlinski is making the ridiculous claim that scientists are being pressured to "toe the line" in support of evolutionary theory. The implication is that acceptance has nothing to do with the evidence. He is implying that there is a conspiracy afoot. Berlinski is insane.

  • I take exception to "I have a right to defend myself," as I contend that a person could defend himself with a can of soup: "I have a right to EFFECTIVELY defend myself." Firearms are merely the weapon/tool of today. I will cheerfully trade my guns for operable versions of the fictionalized weapons that the characters of "Star Trek" had. At one time the crossbow was the weapon to have at-the-ready, before that it was the spear.

  • The most recent example we have of how pressure, power&politics has impacted science comes from 'Climategate'.

No matter which 'side' of the AGW debate you take/took - look at the scientists who had their careers destroyed because they dared to be scientists and question AGW Orthodoxy.

  • You don't make new scientific discoveries by 'conforming'. What a liar.

  • gregrutz - If you want to attract funding and retain your career, you *must* conform with the prevailing orthodoxy of your peers. You can still make discoveries, but they must reinforce the orthodoxy of belief at your institution.

Some scientific fields still allow for a lot of 'thinking outside the box'. A great many fields will not fund you if you seek to question the basic orthodoxy. 'Climategate' is the most recent example of how scientists who asked 'the wrong questions' were treated.

  • @MsZathras

Where do you get you bull shit, from ''Expelled'' LOL

Where do these scientists work? Who is going to fire them?

  • Those who are ignorant enough to still cling to the disproved notion of evolution of species by natural selection, might read an interview with noted scientist Massimo Piattelli-Palmarini: link on my blog. Massimo is a devout believer in atheism, but nevertheless recognizes that evolution of species by natural selection is disproved by the biological evidence. Follow link on my channel profile. He's hunting hard for a new theory of evolution by some mindless process, to replace the old one.

  • "Evolutionary biologists" in the "scientific community" are almost all devout philosophical materialists and atheists. Darwinism has long been the only explanation that materialistic atheists can propose, for the origin of species. So biologists cling to Darwinism or to some very similar theory, in spite of all the evidence against it. For what Prof. Skell says about the fate of biologists who dissent from Darwinism, follow the link on my channel profile to my blog, and a link to Skell.

  • @sherwoodstars

Why doesn't Mr.Butinski prove evolution wrong and get a nobel prize? He Can't !

  • i think its amazing how you like south park.. which goes to show your general intelligence and approach to life.

  • @gregrutz

Evolution is a non based theory, you won't get a noble prize when you disproove such theories.

Evolution is backed by politics and many ideologies, it's not science.

  • @AnInvitationToTheTru

    Evolution happened, proven fact.

There is a Theory that show how it happened. It has stood 150 years.

  • @gregrutz

Well, the fact that this theory stood for a long time doesn't mean anything, hence many theories stood longer, like the origin of semen, people thought that it comes from testicules, while it's only 5% of it....

Evolution got no one single solid argument, I debated with an evolutionist, he told me since Bacterias can develop resistance, that's a big proof!!! come on! who are you kidding?!they represent fossil like Tictali as a proof?!! those are speculation, not proofs.

  • @AnInvitationToTheTru

A fossils is speculation? Did dinosaur rule the earth for 165 million years, or are their fossils just speculation.

  • @gregrutz

What dinosaurs have to do with evolution my friend?? have you heard of the earth explosion by steroids which cause the extinction of all kind of life during dinosaurs era, can abiogenisis occur twice?? I dunno

I gave a Tiktaalikas an ex, since they argue because of it's mosaic featurs.

The present-day Platypus that lives in Australia is a mosaic creature that possesses mammalian, reptilian and avian features at one and the same time. But nothing about it constitutes any evidence

  • We have a record of dinosaurs evolving for 165 million years, fact.

  • No, platypus is a mammal that still lays eggs.

It is not reptilan or avian in any way.

Even if it swims and has a nose that looks like a duck.

Finding a Crocoduck would disprove evolution, tell Kurt Camron they are not looking for one.

  • @gregrutz

    Darwin said

"By the theory of natural selection all living species have been connected with the parent-species of each genus, by differences not greater than we see between the natural and domestic varieties of the same species at the present day; and these parent-species, now generally extinct, have in their turn been similarly connected with more ancient forms; and so on backwards, always converging to the common ancestor of each great class."

Millions of TF fossils must exist.

  • @AnInvitationToTheTru

All fossils are transitional, 99% of all species that ever lived on the earth are extinct.

And everything is still changing. Slowly.

  • @gregrutz

the NYT states Tiktaalik is still a fish.

The bones in Tiktaaliks fins have no axial skeleton connections. Without this direct connection, no true walking could be done by Tiktaalik. Furthermore, the fins of this creature enclose rays, not digits such as toes or fingers.

All transitioanl forms are speculation just like Coelacanth thought to be a transitional form, until it was discovered alive off the coast of South Africa. Amazing!!

  • Coelacanth was thought to be a transitional form because it has lobed fins.

The fact that it is a ''living fossils'' changed nothing, they thought it was extinct and it wasn't. If you think living fossils prove anything, you don't understand how evolution happened.

  • @gregrutz

Well, I think it's me who need to clarify just what is the concept of "transitional form" means. The intermediate forms predicted by the theory of evolution are living things falling between two species, but which possess deficient or semi-developed organs. For instance, if one group of living things possesses features which belong to another, this is not an intermediate form feature. Despite the abundance of fossil sources, not a single transitional form has been uncovered.

  • @AnInvitationToTheTru ''things falling between two species''

Every animal that ever lived was a complete species.

Nothing ever existed with the idea it was going to change into something else.

Is every amphibian a transitional fossil between fish and reptiles?

  • @sherwoodstars

NO, over 60% of biologists accept God. All of them accept evolution.

  • The social pressure among academics to conform to old, dated Darwinist doctrines is so great that dissenters are "railroaded" out of the biological profession, according to Prof. Philip Skell, a member of the National Academy of Sciences. There's a link to an interview with Skell on my blog. Follow the link on my channel profile to listen to it.

  • Bull Shit, If you came up with something new, you would be a hero, well known.

  • balony and you know it.. our society is bound by its very own constraints on truth.... you assume everybody is inherently good, but your wrong... your proof of that loll.

  • Comment removed

  • @sherwoodstars

conform to old, dated Darwinist doctrines

    THEY DON'T IDiot !

Darwin's ideas are 150 years out of date, they don't use them any more.

  • Berlinski is a downright liar, that is, he KNOWS what he purports is rubbish. His body language gives him away.

  • He also knows that the intellectual battle against Natural Selection is utterly lost, and that by sticking with it he is associating himself with religious nuts who's intellectual levels appal him. In short, the silly man is his own worst enemy! Just look into his eyes; you can see his soul is internally hemorrhaging!

  • Quantum physicist Ulrich Mohrhoff has a favorable review of an intelligent design book, in which he concludes that ID is correct. It's mostly very readable, and more interesting than the uneducated claims of the Darwin-fans here. Darwinists try to say that Mohrhoff's views are irrelevant, since he has no degree in biology. But Einstein had no physics degree and was working in a patent office when he published his first important work in physics. Follow the link on my channel to his review.

  • Einstein had a degree in physics in 1905, buddy. That's how he got the job at the patent office.

  • These ignorant Darwin-fans think it's all entirely about Biblical "creationism" versus "evolution " of any sort. But what it's really about, for Berlinski and for many others including myself, is the absurdity and the unscientific nature of the conventional theory of evolution, which is often called Darwinism. I'm personally niether a Christian nor a creationist; and niether is Berlinski. But niether of us is a Darwinist.

  • I don't think they even understand the argument. Their motivation is not science it is anti religious sentiment. These Darwin-fans are the most angry group of people on the planet.

  • @omantodd31

Science does not care about your religion or any other gods, magic or voodoo.

The motivation of science is the TRUTH.

People get angry when they see people like this lying.

  • @omantodd31

bull shit. Evolution is Biology, a Science.

Darwinsinsiism is 150 years out of date.

  • @gregrutz Why are you getting so worked up about evolution for? Take a deep breath and maybe the fresh air will clear your head. I am not going to argue with you because you are just a worked up angry person. Believe whatever you want what do I care.

  • @omantodd31 Their motivation is not science it is anti religious sentiment

Stop lying, you will go to hell.

  • @sherwoodstars

Darwinist is a term the use to mean a supporter of strick 'natural selection'.

Today it is only used by IDiots who put Darwin down. The term is 150 years out of date, just like Darwinisnsinism.

Or Einsteinism. Just so you can imply it is a religion.

  • It's all about the Power !!

    (\_/)

    (='_')

    ((")(")

    Fear the bunny.

Why are there no bunny fossils buried with the dinosaurs and all those bones from the global flood? ? ? ? ? ?

  • Evolution was proven 150 years ago, he is a little late to say it is social pressure.

Facts support evolution, that is why it is taught in science class.

  • what?? why you care, you sound like you try to convince yourself evolution is real....thats faith, you should know better.

  • Yes, evolution is real, there is also a theory that explains it.

  • ooohhh i belive you,i belive you ok..hey christians have a theory that explains their religion too..does that makes them right?

  • "broad education in philosophy,"

But he doesn't know shit about evolution.

  • i start to think you don't know evolution too.

math is science and the key for all discoveries by science is thanks to math,if math don't agree with evolution, evolution turns into a belive system...he is a 100% right, you sound just like a christian...your bible is evolution by charles darwin, like genesis by moses is for the jewish people...ohhh my god atheists have faith in the monkey..ja..ja..ja...this is just ironic, welcome to the club.

  • you don't think Berlinski know evolution? You act like it is some super complex theory that is beyond the grasp of anyone but a biologist. If this the case then why are there so many 300 page books trying to explain it and why is everyone considered stupid or ignorant who does not believe it?

  • @omantodd31

Correct. Mr. Butinski is a math teacher who pretends he does not understand. He is a paid bull shitter, works for the Discovery Inst., never had a job as a biologist. Not a scientist.

  • Stop lying to yourself, Dr. B makes the most sense of anyone.

  • He does not know evolution well enough to argue against it.

Listen to this video, it has nothing to do with the facts that support evolution. He says scientist "do it for the power"

He is paid to baffle people who know nothing about science.

  • are you still posting ?? trying to sound smart ?why don't you give it up? you sad little man...

  • He only makes sense if you have never opened a science book.

    A paid bull shitter.

speaking of bull viii..... fuck you.

  • Thank you for showing us how bible people act. No facts, just name calling.

  • What are you talking about, what does the bible have to do with you being a complete dumb ass, eat shit and die.

  • Comment removed

  • Get off your daddy's computer you stupid bitch, he'll be home soon and give you a spanking if he catches you.

Get those nuts out of your mouth you stupid faggot, you've been schooled - AGAIN.

  • Excellent point.

  • The Dr. is in, and far smarter than anyone on youtube thats for sure.

  • Yup, if they took the time to read his book they would see that it is amazingly written and none of them could argue with him for a minute.

  • ...and he's imposing qualities of religion ( zealousness, power over education, power of political decisions, power over the media (FOXnews, haha sorry), power over funding ) to science and scientists.

It is human nature to "snicker" with intellectuals, yes, like Pat Robertson...., etc.

I'm not saying science doesn't have it's zealots, power struggles, and politics. But this clip sounds as if it applies much more to religious fundamentalists and ID proponents, doesn't it?

  • Now he is getting paranoid.

  • Perfectly stated Dr. B

  • Beautiful house for sale: 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, overlooks abortion clinic. Approved by a mother's right to vengeance, & things proto-popely, psychorrhagic & neglectful. If my bra were stuck in working order & to climb me high above a steeple-jack's premise would enliven my fog lamps & tunnel my loving emergence, then what bra stuck as working could entangle my squirrel sausage?

  • What a pretentious turd!

  • Those who've participated and furthered the U.N.'s eugenics program should be put on trial for crimes against humanity. Aborticide is a tenet of eugenics as practiced by Hitler's henchmen. The world can easily sustain thrice the current population. The Sub-Saharan countries are the World Health Organization's laboratory for all things fiendish. The proof of U.N. perfidy is everywhere from within & without.

  • The head of astronomy at the Vatican seems like a decent chap to me Procom. The U.N.'s eugenics program must be another product of your over-active imagination. As long as they're happy to go without food. Why don't you tell us the details of some of this "perfidy" that you imagine?

  • Comment removed

  • You've always struck me as a rather bewildered chap Procom, but that's what makes you so amusing, don't ever change. :-)

  • I was wondering when you were going to return to your tattoo obsession Procom, how's your tattooed neighbour? Still giving you grief? You should speak to the trailer park owner and get her evicted. :-)

  • Heaven forfend we should forget: The priests of science are of pure heart.

  • "Peer-reviewed" smacks of extortion.

  • How?

  • India has the plague; America has the thong.

  • India has the plague, America has the thong and Procom spouts bollocks. :-)

  • Monkey World congregants are injecting Faith {with a capital F} into Darwin's thesis. We're into the 2nd century since the advent Chucky Cheese Darwin's hoax, and like all hoaxes the proof that proves the veracity of the hoax must be hoaxed.

  • The scientists won't still be promoting evolution if it ever gets falsified.

  • The believers of this crap science will keep on until they are gone or their followers are gone and any remnants all fissile out by "death". There will always be believers in mythology. It is human nature and HEMG is common with all people.

  • You really should try to educate yourself a little about science Good, as it is it's apparent to anyone reading your posts that you know nothing about this topic from the nonsense you post. Perhaps you could take some introductory science courses at your local further education college. Science proposes testable, theoretically falsifiable theories which stand until falsified. Evolution has still not been falsified after 150 years.

  • Perhaps you should step back from this belief and start over with objective awareness of what real science is. This is just a friggin belief, based on conjecture all the way through. It is ridiculous. I have read pretty much all of the "evidence" and it is apparent that the belief comes first then the conclusions. It is just a mass of crap believers pushing this crap on the public. I can't even begin to understand how anyone could fall for this. Listen to all my falisfication videos.

  • Real science is proposing testable, theoretically falsifiable theories, testing them and rejecting those that fail Good. Evolution meets these criteria, and hasn't been falsified in 150 years. I'm sure you've read pretty much all the creationist anti science propaganda, but you show no evidence of having read any real science. It's in the field of creationist pseudo science, of which you are an active proponent, where the data is retro fitted to the myth. Your videos are a product of delusion.

  • What is "real science"; a bunch of believers with this idea of "falsification"? The premise of falsification is 100% false. It was devised so that unproven theories could go on forever as long as even one premise in the complicated "science" was true or seems true. The one truth holds up a bunch of beliefs. You need to listen to my falsification videos, all of them and stop believing in things that can't be proven.

  • Go read up on how this idea of "falsification" got started. Before that crap, science was clean and based on real scientific inquiry and real scientific methods. Now we have perpetual mythology in our universities.

  • Gravitation is not completely proven Good, do you reject that theory? The aerodynamic theories underpinning aviation aren't completely proven, do you not believe that aeroplanes fly? I've watched your bullshit videos, they're a joke. So the world's great scientists like Newton, Darwin, and Einstein who all embraced the scientific method were all wrong and an eccentric, not too bright, little man who knows nothing about science and makes pseudo-scientific creationist videos is right? :-)

  • Don't compare functional science with this belief system.

  • Your pseudo scientific straw men are clearly intended to promote your creationist belief system. You obviously know nothing about "functional science", if you want to tell people about Jesus why not come clean Good?

  • This disfuntional BS belief system is responsible for a lot of screwed up ideas that cause damage to peole's lives. Why don't you come clean and tell use what your dumb agenda is? My agenda is about logic and reason and seeking truth, not another mythological belief system. Universities have had this for thousands of years.

  • You're clearly a man of limited intellect and education, who harbours many delusions Good. Why don't you come clean about your anti intellectual, creationist agenda? It must be tough for you followers of Jesus to see his "power" eroded year on year as science fills in the gaps in which he has traditionally resided. However, by pretending you've not one of his followers you're implicitly denying him, if he really existed I think he would be offended by your cowardly failure to stand by him. :-(

  • I have no religion, no belief systems have affected my consciousness. I spent 17 years in Yoga to get free of this delusional concepts of contracted consciousnesses. I know that an ultimate truth exists, and it has not much to do with crap science or any religion. If you don't understand what I am talking about, they you are common and normal.

Now go listen to my videos and read all the postings.

  • You keep saying you have no religion Good, yet you're petrified to deny the holy spirit. Based on this and your anti science, anti intellectual stance, I hypothesise that you're a deluded born again Christian who thinks his religion is so special that it's somehow different from all the others and not a religion at all. You can easily prove me wrong, simply deny the holy spirit, or even better Jesus Christ in your next post. Your videos are crap and you've removed most of the sensible postings.

  • You are clearly a believer in things that can't be proven. That negates anything you say. It is clear that these retards of "science" are deep believers and so that destroys their credibility, just like you. Sideways logic is where the deeply held belief causes flawed logic. Like thinking that I believe in something is flawed logic.

When you remove all that is false from your life, then what is left is the truth.

  • I accept things for which there's strong evidence which haven't been disproved, such as your creationist beliefs Good, that's how science works, as you know nothing about science and are too pig ignorant to educate yourself you'll just have to trust me on that one. What "retards" of science? Why do you talk in such general terms? Desperately pleading you're not religious when it would be so easy to prove that you're not, is flawed logic, unless you really are religious and hiding behind words.

  • alex; do you understand that there is an absolute truth? Start there.

  • Retards use the "not my science" argument. It is not even close to clear logic to compare one science against another, particulartly those that are not even in the same ball park. Your belief causes your retardation.

  • Science is a peer-reviewed realm. Science does wield a power because of this. Creationism/ID proponents are trying to cheat everyone by gaining their power/respect through politics and by bribing the education system. This is dishonest and so is this man.

  • Th "scientific realm" is peer-reviewed by peers that come from and enforce a particular viewpoint (usually a deterministic/materialistic one) and will countenance no threat to their paradigm. Obviously, you have never been in academia or are an apologist. The scientific establishment has gained its power through government funding-not I.D. people!

    This man is completely honest!

  • Science is a closed system in which you cannot get any "paper" through the system that is not peer reviewed. There is one problem if the peers are all "believers" and their jobs are at stake if they allow any evidence proveing otherwise the popular science. It is a bad system for free thinkers.

  • If they can come up with evidence falsifying evolution, or any other scientific theory for that matter they gain tremendous prestige. It's a bad system for woolly thinkers.

  • Not really. The facts are in, and the evidence for evolution of any creature, much less human evolution from some mystical creature is extremely thin, like crust ice on the lake on a 90 degree F day.

  • The evidence for evolution is overwhelming Good, it's even been observed as it happened, just Google "lenski citrate newscientist". Let me know if you ever manage to falsify evolution.

  • Add to that the normal fears of fitting in

    that young impressionable college kids

have and fear of looking or sounding diffrent from the others and the proffesors knowledge of psychology and history of cult leaders power over large groups and you have a perfect incubator for cult of scientism.

  • not to mention unlimited power to punish any

kids who think for themselves and dare question the proffesor

  • I have fun making my biology professors scratch their heads in front of the class when I ask them simple questions about what they are teaching.. Sometimes they get pissed, like in your face pissed, and say stuff like "ID is recycled creationism".. of course thats not necessarily true, it is also not terribly mind provoking which does expound on the amount of intelligible capacity required to teach at a college.
