I thought that the "Phase II" version of Enterprise was supposed to make it's debut in this episode. It was supposedly going to be refit after the pounding it took in "Blood and Fire".

Although we did get an awesome design of the "Phase 2"-Enterprise by Darren Dotcherman, it was decided to stay with the TOS-design of the ship a little longer since the fans simply love this iconic design by Matt Jeffries. And since all the fans saw the STXI-version of the Enterprise in 2009, I think it was not a bad idea to stay with this Big-E a little longer.

The "refit" Phase 2-Enterprise will make it`s apperance, don`t worry. We`ll have to wait a little longer, though.

I love the part starting at 1:30. Reminds me a lot of the episode Arena, and with the intense music and the tracking shot of Kirk, Spock and McCoy running it works perfectly. Hell, Kirk even did a roll over that little hill to great effect. Can't wait to see the full episode.

By the way, the music that starts at 1:32, where can I find it? I know it's from one of the episodes from the original series, but I was wondering if it was ever released on CD at one point or another?

new voyages is the best star trek fan made work to date and it even surpasses the professional stuff done by paramount. The CG in the preview looks to be as good as the JJ abrams CG in the new movie.

Phase 2 IS it. It's got the backing of the Rodenberry's, scripts written by DC Fontana and the original writing crew from TOS, plus scripts written for the unaired "Phase 2" series itself, special effects direction and supervision by the same folks who did TNG, DS9, Voyager and Enterprise! Plus several Trek actors have actually done roles. This IS Star Trek!

Cool clip. Nailed the feel of the Original, plus adds some realism . Looks like a rock quarry of some kind. the filter helps the illusion a lot. The interference device could be reused as a transport pattern enhancer.

this looks awesome. the alien planet doesn't even look like a state park the way every other non-cgi planet does in every other fan film. phase two is it
