I like Ash a lot. But I've always thought that the singer's voice was a bit weak. I think songs like this should have an anthemic feel and his voice doesn't carry well enough for that.

@jungsbodyguard I think the weak voice is half purposeful, although yes obviously that is his natural voice. I don't think it's meant to sound completely perfectly produced, for example at 2:44 when it breaks back in the guitar and his voice aren't completely clean. I might not have got my point across too well because it's hard to explain for someone who doesn't know a lot of musical jargon, but I hope you get the idea.

@waahify Sorry, mate. I don't think I explained myself very well. I personally like his voice, but my problem was that with songs like this (and several others of theirs) I think that they could have announced themselves as a major international band. His voice isn't distinctive enough to grab the attention that the songs deserve. So exchange where I said 'weak' (because his voice doesn't grab the neutral person's attention) with 'not distictive enough' and I think it conveys my meaning better.

@cobblers39 back when ASH first started they were a trio so tim played both lead and bass. When playing live he couldnt replicate the sound from recordings hence the introduction of Charlotte.  This is the reason for the switch well spotted though!!!!!
