Ive played both consoles and can say they both have their pros and cons. Xbox has a better online network compared to the PS3. But the PS3 has a better collection of well devolped single player games. Xbox I think wins in sound quality on mics and game audio, while PS3 wins in graphics. They have both been down before from either crashing or hacking. Xbox costs hundreds of Dollars cheaper, but PS3 comes with more perks like BlueRay, Internet Browsers and Free online service.

You ultimately pay for what you get. Xbox live costs money and you end up getting a better overall online experience and support. Xbox Live has never been down for more than a couple days. Bottom line: Xbox 360 = Better online support/experience. Ps3 = Better console without question.
