I have heard this bootleg, and I'd be willing to bet money that the guitar, bass and drums were added to a low-fidelity recording of John at the piano -- much like the Threetles did to "Real Love" and "Free as a Bird." If so, GREAT job. It's very enjoyable and probably a close approximation of what was in John head. But you really should identify the doctoring to keep the historical record straight. (Yes, I'm arguing that you should have respect for illegal bootlegs that you steal and post.)

I don't believe he did it. He was framed, if you research his standing position and align it with what witnesses said happened, Chapman couldn't have done it. He was standing to Lennon's right, while all of the shots were on Lennon's left, coming right from the service elevator (the only place someone could have hid and/or ran away)

This is probably my fav of the unreleased or unfinished Lennon tunes...and who ever did the over dubs on the demo brought it out so grand! Lennon's voice can break through anything....even a shitty demo recording still sounds great with him behind it.

This is the list of unreleased Lennon demos as far as I can tell - Now And Then, You Saved My Soul, Across THe River, Whatever Happened to, Help Me To Help Myself, Free As A Bird, Real Love, Gone From This Place, Tenesee (or Memories), India, Hapy Richikesh Song, two of the songs you mentioned as well as One Of The Boys- I mixed it on my computer and its like a new Lennon album...

The person that mixed this used acoustic take 3 of "One of the Boys.' Personally, I think Take 1 or rather demo 1 of this song us much better than the one used for this remix and i believe longer. I can try to post it up on my page. I believe you can find it in the lost lennon tapes. I guess they tried to separate the vocals and guitar, but still applied them to the final track as an added element. Only problem I have is that it ends so abruptly.

But bravo! it really lets us hear how good it could be with a the full treatment---I think generally the demos where he played guitar tend to have better performances on these unreleased Lennon demos--although some of the piano ones are good too.
