If you haven't tried, then how do you know that it is frustrating? It is difficult to get the peoples' attention, 'cause they don't care about that. But that's what these guy are trying to do, and yes, it is sacrifice, sacrifice of your life, but you will experience the presence of that person to whom millions are praying. I notice in the Hare Krishna's on-line videos they always show the Krishna's doing "straight books". Yet 99% of their book distribution is done through their "charity" scam. Whereby they tell a sucker they are collecting money for some charitable cause, like feeding the homeless etc; then they give the sucker a free book for his donation."Straight books" for those who don't understand the parlance is - a book is presented to the customer and a donation requested, an honest, straight deal.

Actually the devotees often collect to feed the homeless as they have their own charity, Food For Life, which was inaugurated by the Hare Krishna's Acharya Guru, Srila Prabhupada, to distribute spiritually sanctified food, having been offered with love and devotion to Krishna, (God.) The donors are often given one of Prabhupada's books as often people give generous donations, in giving a donation to Krishna they have already begun service to him. Hare Krishna!

I have had a lot of involvement with food for life for 15yrs, and I can assure you that where I've served there have been no rip-offs going on. I love the Hare Krishnas. They are sincere devotees of the Lord and preach to the fallen souls. I love the food and the temple services. Sometimes it may be hard to distribute books but even to give one book to an appreciative soul makes the day a success. There is always someone looking for love, looking for peace of mind, and looking to be satisfied. Some day maybe they will come in contact with a Hare Krishna devotee and take up spiritual life.
whizz devotees tolerate insults to themselves, verbally, and see the person as a friend who is pointing out their faults and false egos that need rectification so they can go back to godhead. Whereby they tell a sucker they are collecting money for some charitable cause, like feeding the homeless etc; then they give the sucker a free book for his donation."Straight books" for those who don't understand the parlance is - a book is presented to the customer and a donation requested, an honest, straight deal.

Actually the devotees often collect to feed the homeless as they have their own charity, Food For Life, which was inaugurated by the Hare Krishna's Acharya Guru, Srila Prabhupada, to distribute spiritually sanctified food, having been offered with love and devotion to Krishna, (God.) The donors are often given one of Prabhupada's books as often people give generous donations, in giving a donation to Krishna they have already begun service to him. Hare Krishna!

I have had a lot of involvement with food for life for 15yrs, and I can assure you that where I've served there have been no rip-offs going on. I know that what you say is true, that somewhere, sometime it has happened. I discovered once that a group in Cardiff used the food for life name to collect to run their group, this was brought to notice and stopped immediately, it is very rare.

Food For Life was inaugurated in around 1982 as a PR exercise (scam). Srila Prabhupada had nothing to do with it. According to H H Jayadvaita Swami, Srila Prabhupada wanted hungry people to come to the temples, be fed and become Krishna Conscious. There are several quotes to this effect. I suggest you check your facts before making such false comments - after all its your karma!

I love the Hare Krishnas. They are sincere devotees of the Lord and preach to the fallen souls. I love the food and the temple services. Sometimes it may be hard to distribute books but even to give one book to an appreciative soul makes the day a success. There is always someone looking for love, looking for peace of mind, and looking to be satisfied. Some day maybe they will come in contact with a Hare Krishna devotee and take up spiritual life.

whizz devotees tolerate insults to themselves, verbally, and see the person as a friend who is pointing out their faults and false egos that need rectification so they can go back to godhead. And when the person is sincere and interested, nothing can be better for both the devotee and the non devotee accepting the book and obtaining some nectar in that way.

Just because the pleasure is fleeting does not mean that it is not real. Most people are interested in other things in life besides material pleasure. To suggest otherwise is an insult to humanity.
The ego is the essential referrence point without which we lose our sanity and develop borderline personality disorders. That is how the guru maintains control over his followers.

The spiritual purity and general prestige of ISKCON has undergone a massive deterioration since the physical departure of its Founder on November 14th 1977.
This decline can be traced back to various deviations from the instructions and standards given by Srila Prabhupada, the chief of which being his displacement as the sole diksa guru for ISKCON.
For nearly three decades ISKCON has not been doing what Srila Prabhupada ordered.

You know, I go to Radha Krishna Temple(ie the London one pictured), and I kinda liked this video.
It doesn't matter if the feller trying to make the video was poking fun, he wasn't doing it hatefully he was just joking about.
Seriously though, just peruse some Iskcon websites or something, find out what it's all about at no cost to you. You have nothing to lose, or just come into the temple sometime, its always open and theres always visitors there. Haribol!

These sincere representatives of HDG Srila Prabhupada are offering the beacon light of transcendental knowledge to the suffering conditioned souls without discrimination, they are never frustrated, because they are perfectly situated, unattached to the result. Every individual should accept their offer of mercy in the form of spiritual wisdom, whilst offering respects at the lotus feet of these great souls.

People don't want to stop having illicit sex, smoking, doing drugs, getting drunk, making money for materialistic and temporary purposes, killing themselves,etc. They just enjoy being a human misery and they don't want to live a simple and healthy life, that's why they don't pay attention to God.

I am a "Hare Krishna", (but I am a grihasta, (a married devotee) Yes the brahmacaris do some austerities, but they also get a lot of bliss. I used to do it with my sister, (but we just did the chanting part, not the book distribution part)

He somehow blessed a movement of unqualified in his name known as Hare Krishnas, though it doesn't mean he didn't want qualification to arise. Time for that is yet to come. Till then enjoy "Hinduism for dummies" version. The beauty of it -- dumber you are -- better it works. Full version is yet beyond the mass appeal, though we are getting to it at increasing speed.

It's not that I am a great lover of Hebrew or even the Bible, but it happens Jesus taught/popularized a 7th level realization and preached from the point of such culmination -- that's something very unique and mostly misunderstood and misinterpreted.
Sri Chaitanya sounds like his Hindu 2nd coming version and also grossly misinterpreted even during his life.

So culmination of faith, understanding and devotion is in an act of transformation or in an act of purification. Devotion without purity is another delusion. Desire of faith and understanding are impediments on the path and merely byproducts or initial reqs. Purification/transformation -- is the real name of it all

Jesus in Hebrew doesn't mean "devotee" or even "believer", it means "redeemer" or transformer and true meaning of human life is in spiritual transformation. Yahweh means "I am Jesus".

Culmination is at 6th and 7th level - through confession of all sins and purification of the rest of the levels. Mainstream Christianity is just another Faith based 4th level. True Christ teaching is hidden and mostly unknown or twisted into something else. True teaching opens to one who has tried many many paths and had realised that anything indirect exists for the sake of directness and start seeking a direct contact.

Sex magick, sex based tantra - 2nd, Martial Arts, Karma Yoga - 3d, Hare Krisna's and other Faith based - 4th level, Masonry - understanding based- 5th level, Esoteric Christianity - 6th and 7th - direct contact. One has to complete the whole spectrum realisation

Ok. I understand where yo are comming from. Let me explain in a way that'll make sense to you.
Ask a child in kindergarden to subtract 10 from 2. You know the answer is -8 but that child will adamantly say you can't do it and there is no such thing as negative number. Weird thing is you can't explain the negative number to the kid until he goes through proper education. By systematic study he will get the concept by the time he is in 3rd or 4th grade.

You weren't born with the knowledge of Quantum Physics but with proper knowledge you got it.
What is weird is body ache (on as big body as any human being) can be cured with a tiny little pill. Unless you are a doctor, you don't know how that works but you appreciate there is higher knowledge out there from where you are.

Hare Krishnas do not posit any "supernatural being." That is your idea, not theirs. Krishna is the most natural of all beings -- it just so happens that he is also the Supreme Lord.
