Graphics card you say? I Just went to best buy and bought the most expensive one there, nvidia 9800 GT, can run ALMOST anything on max smoothly I have to run crysis on med. and Far cry 2 on very high instead of ultra high, 200 dollars. What do you think?

It could be your processor, and use ATI If you like vivid games, Nvidia is powerfull yes, but ATI RULES in quality.

Anyways, yeah man try getting a new PC. My processor is an AMD Athlon x2 64bit @ 2.6 GHZ, and it lags like a MOFO on some games, but my gfx card is the 4th newest card at bestbuy... ATI Radeon 4850.
