If CERN created a microscopic black hole...wouldn't that be the first step to the Shaw-Fujikawa translight drive? Ye gads, it would be Halo, 500 years ahead of its time!
Without watching this video i can safely say that even if the LHC should create a microscopic black hole which is extremely unlikely (if possible at all) they will disperse in a fraction of a second due to hawking's radiation.

The first time I remember coming across the idea of artificially creating a black hole was in a Clarke book. It supposed to use the mass of an 'asteroid' broken into a set of particle beams and collided inside a chamber out in space. I don't think the mass or energy levels or the design of the targets are going to pull off that feat? If it was that easy it would have been done before. But the video was cool.
actually the possibility of it creating one black hole as of now is 50% chance of multiple blakc holes is i think 15% but yea. fairly possible. however the black holes it would creat would be so incredibley small we would be totally uneffected by them.
i would like to see that happen whats behind that hole i wonder when commercial space flight is working im gonna jack one and find the nearest wormhole and fly in it ^^ thats gonna be fun
when you want to make a black hole with the mass of the earth you must push it together to the size of your finger nail. the black hole on this vid is bigger than a finger nail... lots bigger.

Some of you have asked about the technology to create this. I used a combination of applications, including:
Adobe After Effects CS3 (150+ layers)
Adobe Photoshop CS3
Soundtrack Pro (30+ tracks/clips)
Final Cut Pro
Let me know if you have any other questions. Enjoy!
