Is Dave your uncle? hey thats nice, one of my top five Rock performers, have most of his albums (cds) and seen him lots of times in San Diego, CAL. Just great uncle you have there my friend.
I've seen him like five but not since like 87 or 88, my first one on 75 just so damn (sorry) nice, I still have the set list I wrote it down 17 hit songs.
just a real blast back then, even Fleetwood Mac opened for him I mean THE Mack with Nicks and all the real deal.
terrible, I like mason, but this is plain wrong.....the original brings me back to hamilton park days (1973) in waterbury ct.....this makes me wanna eat anthrax and die
Of Course we all know Dave chopped axe on stage with Jimmy Hendrix , so he has not only paid the dues but he most assuredly also held office in the union as well
Dude, Dave rocks. I saw him a couple weeks ago at Best Buy with the other guitar player in this video. They played this song acoustic, and it was awesome.
type in dear mr fantasy 2003 and see it done by winwwood.....
or try typing in clapton/winwood dear mr fantasy from madsion square garden in nyc for another stellar version done by the man who wrote it.......and yes a legend also.
you have no bloody clue to what great music is...you're just a fucking moron.

didn't like this version. Best one I ever saw was Shaun Verreault from Wide Mouth Mason and Jordon Cook. Those guys rocked it. It was better than Steve Winwood's!!!!!
They are RKS guitars Dave is a co founder of the company. I had a chance to play one a few months ago at a gig that a guy had from another band and they are sweet unlike anything you have ever played.
Enjoy Dave...he's a hall of famer for sure and I like watching this, but in MHO this is not in the same league as any of Steve Winwood's on YT - I would suggest looking for SW's Crossroads 2007 version.
My older sisters loved this guy in the 70's. I just saw him a month ago in Sonoma w/ the Doobies and this guy stole the show. Even did an encore when he was supposed to leave for the next group. The crowd demanded it, just like bac in the day. Love Dave Mason and timeless greatness.
what guitar is the singer using, i saw annother video with mr fantasy as the sound track that showed that guitar and some other similar ones, but not the name. thx.
Oh yeah! -bitchin tune for sure, loaded with tone. Dave Mason's vocals are just awesome. Almost speachless, the dude has gotton better and better, and I love his stuff from back in the seven-o's (he's lost nothing).
yeah dave! my dad wasnt there playin with you guys cause he was in florida on spring break with us- this is an awesome version! and the other guitarist is jonny sampataro
Please tell me who is the "other" lead guitarist? And is the main singer the Dave Mason that diod Mystic Traveler and we just disagree/ your help would setlle a friendly bet. Thanks Rob in NY
Man, I have to agree with the comment about Johnne Sambataro's guitar...and Dave is equally awesome. Thanks for the posting brother, truly appreciated from a music lover.
I have seen Dave Mason a number of times over the years. He always gives his all. A great performer and musician. I have never been disappointed with him. I would love to see Traffic get together.
The last time I saw Dave Mason, a few years ago, Jim Capaldi was supposed to be on tour with him, but for some reason Capaldi was a no-show.
he is a great instrumentist, but he is not a god singer, I am accostumed listen steve winwood sing this music, I prefer traffic and winwood' version, I think the best version this music was played at "welcome to the canteen"
This is awesome, However posted this "Many Thanks" it is great to see that he is still playing. He comes to the CoachHouse in California quite often and I have never missed a show. He is very loved there and in returns he always gives his all. His tone is out of this world. He is one of the Best Guitar players in the world.Along w/Jimi Hendrix, Leslie West.
I always was wondering what happend to Dave...long time since "Traffic" back in the day Steve Winwood days...I'd like them do do a old tune "The Low Spark of High-Heeled Boys"
I listened to many remakes of this song, and finally came to a conclusion that the best remake was done by the original band - "Traffic". I like Mason, but not in this case.
I always liked dave Mason, but i don't listen to him along time!Amazing, wonderful guitarplayer, great songwriter (sad and deep as you - thats a really great song)
