I played this on hardened it took me less deaths then veteran I died running down the hill, near impossible for Veteran I guess. If you cmp on stairs, back way shoots DMS = no win
This level is actually really easy. Just keep a mindset of going right. At the beginning mine part, head right because there are only a few enemys on that side. Once in the house and you start to defend the intel. Use the ACR and AA12( doesn't actually matter) and camp at the top of the stairs. No one will come from the back, only from the front. Once it's done loading, immediately get the intel, run to the the right exit of the house and run outside. Stay to the right and dont turn back. :)
@JustDunkedOverYou i did play the mw2 campaign, all im saying is ghost is alive in mw3. they show him walking through a subway tunnel. watch the reveal trailer, if your a true cod fan you know thats ghost at about a minute in standing in the subway tunnel.

Erm, Dont you get 25 gamer points for doing it on vetern? The only way you would have got the pawn achievement is if that was your first time going through that mission, which trust me, even on recruit is hard!

lol, I did this as first try aswell, as soon as u get tho the checkpoint before u run down the last part. you lay down, and go straight to right, and throw lots of flash to left at the enemey, and then u just run the little part left and jump.. and ur done.

i dont know what difficulty you all are playing, but every video i have seen claiming they are playing Veteran has no trouble getting to the hill with the DSM. I cant even get out the door without getting fired at from all directions. There's a whole camp of enemies in a patch halfway to the crest of the hill. What did I do wrong?
@xtrixsterx because his plan all along was to betray his allies (which was TF 141 AND the main enemy, Makarov) and take the limelight and be a war hero. He did this because many of his men were killed 5 years before MW2 by a Nuke (I believe) and, "the world just fuckin' watched." He had acquired all he needed from TF 141 so started killing them, dude by dude. Hope that helps ;).
5:46 - go to the left where the huge windows are and snipe with a thermal, then when the enemies come through the door, turn and shoot them with acr, or other gun. THEY DO NOT SHOOT YOU! i couldnt believe itat first but it works!
This is bullshit. Even on Hardcore you couldn't just run down the hill like that. There is no way he actually did that all in one take. It took me 20+ tries just to run down that hill.

When you start to run from the house, stay to the left, there's a gate you can go through with large solar panels behind it. You can hide behind them and wait for Ghost to kill every one of them, which doesn't take very long
totaly the same with me m8, i just get killed before i can even get past the tree line. I may try it on hardened instead, ill still get the trophy, meh.

@DeMaggioRespawn Anyone got any other tips for the bit after 8:55? I've tried changing guns to pistols to be able to run a bit faster but then your stuck with pistols. It seems the author of this video mattie432 hardly had to take a shot. I may have to try the slow version as someone on the comments list has mentioned, but is the go slow approach even an option?
ya i finished it and this helps listen. stay on the left side the entire time by the gate and before u go off the ledge go prone and start chucking every nade u have it will take more then one try but all it is is luck keep 1 or 2 flashes ones uve usen all ur nades run down the hill on the left and go in zig zags. have a heavy machine and hold rt and throw sum flashes ull be blinding them giving u a few seconds and killing em. it worked for me and shuld work for u

@jonnyronnyroker As you are going towards the hill i hid on the far right its sort of a ledge over looking the hill. Be aware though staying alive while ghost runs down is tricky because of the guys coming after you from behind. The guys down the hill arent the problem. Good luck

When I first beat this mission, I thought "Broke through HUMONGOUS Groups of Enemy's, Protected a LITTLE CRAP MACHINE for a LONG TIME, ran like crap to a field, Just to get Incinerated...WTF!"
i did this just now all i did was save a couple of grenades and when u get to the part where yoy have to get to the lz just use them all and then run it worked for me.
When u get down and finally avoided the mines,go left and you should see some wood,kill Makarov's troops until you're clear and then you should see the trucks(which are hit with a javelin by the ghillie snipers in the hill) then infiltrate the house.
he was involved with makarov it was sheperd that helped makarov with the terrorist attack and had allen work with makarov which was on the dsm so he had to kill them because they would of seen what was on the dsm
Shepherd wants to take credit for catching makarov, and ending the war, thats why he planned to kill price, soap, roach, and ghost, so he could write history the way he sees fit, or sumtin like that.
no way was the end part of this, running to extraction done on veteran, on that level the mortars alone randomly take you out and no way can you just run up the middle of the slope the way he did and just survive by sprinting the route
hey guys i know that most of u are having problems with this mission but seriously just hug the wall / hill on the left all the way down it was easy :)
its better when he talks, he lets you know where enemies are and where to hide and what to do, rather than people just showing you and not letting you know properly how to do it, his tuts are the best :)

When you start to run from the house, stay to the left, there's a gate you can go through with large solar panels behind it. You can hide behind them and wait for Ghost to kill every one of them, which doesn't take very long

I have finally done it "What i did is when your up to go down on your right side theres a small hill with a white fence go over there throw all ur nades then a flash or all your flashes i only had one so it was harder then shoot them all your clip and keep running " Btw i said if i dont get it this time im quitting finally i got it :D

OMFG i hate this mission! I am completely stuck on it! Had hardly any trouble with previous missions on veteran! I can't make it to the edge of the hill at the end the bit at 8:55 onwards grrrr!!

@DeMaggioRespawn Anyone got any other tips for the bit after 8:55? I've tried changing guns to pistols to be able to run a bit faster but then your stuck with pistols. It seems the author of this video mattie432 hardly had to take a shot. I may have to try the slow version as someone on the comments list has mentioned, but is the go slow approach even an option?

ya i finished it and this helps listen. stay on the left side the entire time by the gate and before u go off the ledge go prone and start chucking every nade u have it will take more then one try but all it is is luck keep 1 or 2 flashes ones uve usen all ur nades run down the hill on the left and go in zig zags. have a heavy machine and hold rt and throw sum flashes ull be blinding them giving u a few seconds and killing em. it worked for me and shuld work for u

Cheers man, I just did it strangly just as you replied! I went on the right side really slowly waited for the other guys to clear pretty much all the guys and hardly had to take a shot, the wierd thing was it was the first time I made the last checkpoint on the edge of the hill that was the biggest trouble for me!!! YES finally did it!!!! thanks for all your help! all your comments were useful! Oh yeah do you have an Xbox GT? Mine is Poke13

I was stuck on the LZ bit just now for at least 10 mins i am not joking i was shouting WTF!! everytime i loaded up checkpoint i died immediately as a guy with a rpg shot me as i spawned lol ive done it now tho! thanks to ghost... i let him go down the hill first, take out all them bitches then i ran down after him :D

@jonnyronnyroker As you are going towards the hill i hid on the far right its sort of a ledge over looking the hill. Be aware though staying alive while ghost runs down is tricky because of the guys coming after you from behind. The guys down the hill arent the problem. Good luck

Here I got a tip for this mission.
When u get down and finally avoided the mines,go left and you should see some wood,kill Makarov's troops until you're clear and then you should see the trucks(which are hit with a javelin by the ghillie snipers in the hill) then infiltrate the house.

he was involved with makarov it was sheperd that helped makarov with the terrorist attack and had allen work with makarov which was on the dsm so he had to kill them because they would of seen what was on the dsm

no way was the end part of this, running to extraction done on veteran, on that level the mortars alone randomly take you out and no way can you just run up the middle of the slope the way he did and just survive by sprinting the route

Here's how I did it, I just stayed prone in the grass and made my way, although I wasn't on veteran.
