  • Union organizers go around intimidating workers and their families... what POSs! Once they get a worksite organized, the place goes bankrupt after a little while. Until then, they breed discontent among the workers until everyone hates their jobs and everyone else. Thanx, Union thugs, for taking away the jobs of my friends and coworkers and countless 10s of thousands of others... Thank you, Clinton, for giving businesses the NAFTA opportunity to go outside of our country to get cheaper labor.

  • @dlkamps This is the dumbest post I've read. Unions don't make businesses go bankrupt. What would be the point? Union members would have to constantly find new places to work. That certainly isn't the case. Employers will tell you a sob story like that to coerce you out of interest in unions, but in reality it just means a little less profit for these company stake holders. (No new summer house this year Boo hoo.) And unions are and have always been against NAFTA.

  • @jawbrayker If you havent heard of the Job Bank I will explain.A person works on the assembly line X number of years they come in and change what that persons job entails .He says I cant do that basically and they put him in the job bank until they find a place for him .Sounds innocent well he stays at full salary full benni's .He or she goes in and basically sits on their ass ,people have stayed on for years .They have retired .I know a man who has .Thats a big part of your cost in your

  • @truckdawg43 As a Union Ironworker, if I can't get the job done I'm down the road. (i.e. laid off or fired) There's no job security, there's only "I work my ass off and that makes people want to hire me.". On the flip side, these contractors cant f*** me. They have to look after my safety and well being. They can't jerk me around if I go in the hole I'm taken care of. I don't see what's so lazy about that.

  • @jawbrayker At one time Unions served us as workers and went above and beyond .Trade Unions i.e iron workers, painter ,electricians ,plumbers and laborers seem to have a pride in their work .Teamsters screwed me over ,UAW has hurt my family.I know railroad workers that go to work to get rested for the weekend .I know some postal workers that every time they file a grievance they have to defend themselves.I am a trucker and damn proud of it ,but I wont work in a state that aint right to work

  • @truckdawg43 Statistically Right To Work states pay lower wages and have less labor protection legislation. I've never run into anybody describing the types of scenarios you mentioned. But I have seen alot of companies in all sectors who treat the employees like the enemy. The name of the game is to squeeze as much work from them as you can while paying them as little as possible. Don't let them know they have rights and intimidate them into doing what's best for the company.

  • @jawbrayker Do you remember Flemming Foods paid their people well to keep the Unions out .Churchill Trucking closed up ,CF closed up but started back as another company that pays its drivers real well.There is your Teamster handy work but only a fraction. UAW ask GM about the Job bank ,ask Ford how many jobs a worker gets to run through .Dont get me wrong I am sure there are abusers .On both sides .Will your union drop their dues if Obama gets his health care bill ? Or does your company pay ?

  • @truckdawg43 I don't know anything about those companies, because i'm not a trucker. This job bank also sounds like protection for workers that have given their health and livelihood to a company. If they get hurt or sick is it right for that company to toss them on their ass? If they don't move as fast anymore because of damage done by repetitive movement making the products the company needs to make a profit, should he be fired? That job bank gives an employee a chance to still be useful.

  • @jawbrayker Firing a worker because of disability is against the Law .But years in the job bank is pure laziness because they WILL move you and train you in a different position .That is what Ford does they have no job bank they will move you till you find your niche as long as you ether have seniority or there is a position to fill .There is your chance .I couldnt do factory work I know this as fact .So why waste my time trying and let some other who does and can do it well fill the position

  • @jawbrayker Good on ya ! when companies first started offering it it was a perk ,one to bring in more experienced workers ,two if they were growing and needed more workers .Now they say its a right and the Gov is forcing either companies or individuals to buy it .One payer doesnt mean free like alot of these folk think because we all pay.You force it on the comp owner they will shut it down it isnt profitable to keep it going ..It is our responsibility to pay for it unless offered

  • The Right to Work is legislation to protect workers from strikers and unions. How many times have workers gone on strike and used intimidations and violence toward workers who don't want to strike, but keep working. THAT is what it's about. AND unions were good when they first started but they have just about run out of issues, so they take up the slack by forcing unionism by intimidation, for the union fees. That is illegal-unconstitutional. It's organized crime.
