After all i bought a Bugera 6262, dont regret my choice, but i cant keep off the feeling that my tubes aren't biased properly.wanted to buy myself a matched set, could you recommend me a special type of 6L6 tubes that really match the signal served by the preamp?
Lets retune to standard, Crank up the Master Volume on channel 2, and bring the gain down to about 12:00 Now, try to do the solo to Albert Collins " Frosty " with style, grace, and soul...
@kontenbaffer Mine has worked fine for well over two years. Google any amp and put broken in the search and you'll find horror stories about them all.
@dingle1 is there any advice you can say on about making them last? I've been thinking of getting one pretty soon, they sound just great but I keep hearing how they are unreliable and break so soon...so im not sure.. what do you think?
@kontenbaffer bugera makes amps that sound good, but are cheap construction. Most of the flaws are with internal wiring. If you have the experience, just open the amp and resolder the insides and they should work great. If nothing else, have a professional do it. They are great amps for the money, you just need to "fix" them before you can use them.
@kontenbaffer The amp you see in this video has been working just fine now for well over 2 years. I have a 333XL that I have owned now for 3 years, it works fine.
@jImBothedoctor I'm sure it would do the job fine. Your choice of cab depends on your budget. In this clip and just about all my others I'm using Marshall Mode 4 cabinets. I'm going to be using some different cabs in the near future made by Zilla cabinets, you should check them out.
@ThorRising Cool man. I use a Line6 M13 stomp box modeller, so basically I have every pedal you can think of in one unit. I only use stuff like delay, chorus for cleans, occassionally some OD for leads. But the amp on it's own sounds awesome.
@dingle1 awesome thanks man ive been watching all your videos. This seems like the perfect amp for what i need. Im just looking for a good amp for casual playing. I play death metal and this seems like a great amp for the money.
@SIGN666 With a good amp like this you better just stick with the amps own distortion. Though, I have no idea if this amp would sound good with a tube screamer boosting the gain
HI there i have a question, lot of people says that this head dont have enough gain what do u think about that? I ve got guitar with EMGS81/85 and i want to buy a head. iam deciding between this beauty and 333/333XL can u help me? I want to play crunchy nasty riffs with lot of gain, at least like u have.
@dingle1 The amp itself (in high gain mode) is a monster, the clean channel is very bright, so you cant expect any really rich, warm cleans from this amp. The amount of gain depends on the music, though. If youre looking for that over the top compressed modern high gain sound, just put a TubeScreamer or any OD Pedal in front, turn it up all the way, and leave out all the distortion from the pedal. Without a booster pedal, its more of a traditional high gain sound.
Turn your mids way up. It'll sound way way better and warm, and tighten the fuck out of your tone. The demo itself is alright though. This amp sounds aiight, would you recommend it for Fall of Troy/ Dance Gavin Dance shit? I'm playing a classic Vibe tele, trying to upgrade to a better amp, preferably something with mid-high gain, scorching mids, thinking this or the 333xl or the 1990 would be aiight choices if I switched out the electronics. How does it sound cranked O.O?
im looking into buying this and getting rid of my marshall head and putting the bugera on my marsh cab, i play on a scheter hellraiser with EMG pick ups, i play death metal so im hoping this will give me that kick im looking for
2 Questions, the first: Were I to plug in my Boss ML-2 to get brutal distortion, would tis amp sound good with it? and 2: is the head compatible with more than just Bugera cabs?
@BlasphemousVince Dunno man, never heard a Boss ML2 pedal. Yes you can use this amp with any cab so long as the impedence is matched. I always use Marshall MF400 cabs.
i have some advice to get good mids buy a tube screamer . i was wondering is the 6206 bugera a good match up to a 5150 cause atr uses a 5150 but if the bugera is a good match up i want it plus people say u can swap between 6l6 and e 34 is that true
Hey dingle, I just bought the combo version of this amp, and it seems to me like the gain is mid-level at best on the lead channel. I can't get these heavy tones that you're getting with yours - not even close. At full gain all I get is 70's rock gain and saturation, and that's it. How do I get your heavy tones?
@dingle1 I use a peavey wolfgang special with an OFR+42mm block and stock pick ups, which are pretty hot as they are. I just got the amp, expecting to get tones like you are getting, but when I use the lead channel and turn the gain up all the way I get disappointingly bad tone. It's really nothing like what you have, and in honesty it just sounds like vintage crunch at max gain.
@gwenvur Thats suprising, there's a lot of gain on tap in this amp. Without actually seeing your rig and seeing how you play it would be hard to offer any useful advice.
@dingle1 I was plugged straight into the amp, no pedals. Then I put my Boss GT8 through the effects loop. With the loop off, I would be getting the amp's tone (which disappointed me despite watching all of your videos). I suspicion that I just got a faulty amp. I have returned it, now realizing that my GT8 suffices my tonal needs. For now I plan on getting a JC120.
@gwenvur they level of gain you hear may relate directly with the volume. Turn up the volume a good amount and see if that helps. Depending on if you got it used you might want to make sure someone didnt swap tubes or speakers
333Xl sounds warmer, while 6262 is sharper because of the 6L6 tubes and more saturated because of the 6 12AX7 preamb tubes, in place of 4 for the 333XL. just an opinion. for metal I would go with the 6262, especially in a dark sounding guitar.
Are you using EMGs or are you playing passives? If you could please for me, play it through a passive set if you have any, cause it sounds good, but i wanna know if it sounds good with passives.

i'm a guitar player who is in a band and were playing a lot more shows and we are about to go on tour this summer. can this head handle lots of shows and touring? also my band plays hardcore music is this a good option?
Sorry man I know you probably get alot of this but I've seen you playing a 333xl and a 6262. Do you have a preference? For a great lead sound, for detuning, for anything really? To my ear the 333xl sounds pretty bitchin'
@dingle1 I've ordered the 6260 today and I would like to THANK YOU for your Youtube reviews of Bugera amps, they were a huge help to my decision; I can't wait to get it! \ m /
@iplayschecter97 i got the valve king and i gotta say it sure as hell doesnt got enough gain and no bottom end to it >.< i rather have the bugera hands down and theyre the same price!!!
@iplayschecter97 Hey mate just thought I would put my two cents in. I work in a shop selling these amps and its no contest the bugera is evil! The peavey valveking is a great amp for its cost but does its a different amp.
The 6262 is a copy of a 5150II ( van halen ) and the did it right! Go for the Bugera
@IKhaosS Yes mate, you'll need a cab. This is just the amp, no noise will come out of it without a cab, apartfrom a loud bang and a flash if you use it too long without a cab ;) Seriously, never switch the amp on unless it's connected to a cab, and make sure the ohms are matched.
Question dingle, I am very sold on this amp, But now in a live situation Can the amp deliver when cranked a fair amount? Ive had amps in the past that sounded great around 3-4 on the master with the channel vol up, but when you cranked it the sound would be a bit too tight not as loose, Like the 6505 when its cranked it keeps its gain, can bugera do the same?
@custommade21 Indeed it can. In recent reharsalls with my drummer, I've had this baby at ear melting volume, and that was only at between 2-3. My drummer steve is the loudest drummer i have ever played with, bar none. So I have to crank it to be heard above him. It sounded awesome, kept it's tone and gain. I've tried to video it, but my cam has a clip trip on it, so if you clip the mic too often it switches off, so I only got a minue or so and the cam shut down.
@vazkez 6262 has very clear distortion, less mushy than 6505, though it has a lot less distortion than with the 6505. but you still never need all that distortion that you can get from a 6262. I dont have an opinion that which one is better, they are both great amps, but when comparing the pricetag, 6262 is a killer! the bottom end in 6262 is stunning as well, i love the amp! . I have a 6262 and my bands other guitarist has 6505, and they blend together very nicely!
I'm sold, based on your reviews. One question I would really like you to answer for me: I recently recorded in the studio with a 5150 that sounded great. I know this amp will be no different.
But when I'm playing live, can the Clean channel with crunch and HIGH Gain deliver the thick, heavy tone that you get on the Lead channel? Should I plan on an overdrive pedal for my guitar solos, or at least to BEEF UP the clean channel? The rhythm should be almost equal with the Lead. THANKS A LOT!!!
@fenderstrat81991 The rhythm channel on this amp is voiced differently to the crunch channel, itsgoes from bluesy to classic crunch, capable of lead but not really a metal tone.
You be better to use the lead channel with the gain set at about half way, and use an OD pedal for leads.
im thinking about purchasing this amp, i play Hardcore/Metalcore music such as A Plea for Purging, For Today, In The Midst of Lions, Emmure, etc. Do you reccemend this amp for that or the 333xl?
What I forgot to ask, can you play me some Evergrey riffs, Evanescence like riffs or something similar like that, idc what, on both of them? At least something with a low end crunch ;).
Hey Dingle, I have a question. Which one is better for agressive raw crunch with lots of lows, the 6262 with EL34 ( I know it has 6L6, but I'll swap em out later) or the 333XL? I'm looking into those two amps now, since I like both. I've watched a couple of videos but I can't make up my mind, I know the 333XL is more versatile and all, but I'm really looking for a heavy yet defined sound. So which one, the 6262 or the 333XL? Greetings!
hey man, loved your video!!I'm thinking of getting either the 6505 or the bugera 6262!In your opinion which is better for metal?!I play Pantera type stuff and stuff with a lot of chuging breakdowns and would really like your input to which amp does that stuff best?!Thank's!!
hey great vid thx for posting! quick question-ive played both the 333xl and 6262 and like the lead on the 6262 a bit better but the clean sounded to gain-ish to me rather on the 333xl the clean was real warm and the lead was great but not as good as the 6262(IMHO). any tubes i can get or switch out of the 6262 to get a better clean channel?

Which cab did you use in this video? The sound is very brutal, do you prefer bugera 333 or 6262?

@Thrasher94sa Marshall MF400. I have 2 333XLs

Sorry man I know you probably get alot of this but I've seen you playing a 333xl and a 6262. Do you have a preference? For a great lead sound, for detuning, for anything really? To my ear the 333xl sounds pretty bitchin'

@ElJucifer I have 2 333XL'S ;)

iRrawrrr 1 year ago
@iRrawrrr The 62 has two channels
dingle1 1 year ago
@dingle1 hey dingle, other than the two channels can the 6260 blow out the exact same tone as this video? (I don't even use clean sound anyway heheh)

@tokyosan1 Yeah man, the dirt channel on the 60 is the same.

@dingle1 thank you!! I found one (new in store) for 320 Euros it's a great price I think I'm gonna go for it!!

@dingle1 I've ordered the 6260 today and I would like to THANK YOU for your Youtube reviews of Bugera amps, they were a huge help to my decision; I can't wait to get it! \ m /

iplayschecter97 1 year ago
@iplayschecter97 6262, hands down.
dingle1 1 year ago
@iplayschecter97 i got the valve king and i gotta say it sure as hell doesnt got enough gain and no bottom end to it >.< i rather have the bugera hands down and theyre the same price!!!
jakebeastlyFTW 1 year ago
@iplayschecter97 Hey mate just thought I would put my two cents in. I work in a shop selling these amps and its no contest the bugera is evil! The peavey valveking is a great amp for its cost but does its a different amp.
The 6262 is a copy of a 5150II ( van halen ) and the did it right! Go for the Bugera
Kris273 1 year ago
@dingle1 can you buy a head and only play through the head. or do i have to have a cab.
IKhaosS 1 year ago
@IKhaosS Yes mate, you'll need a cab. This is just the amp, no noise will come out of it without a cab, apartfrom a loud bang and a flash if you use it too long without a cab ;) Seriously, never switch the amp on unless it's connected to a cab, and make sure the ohms are matched.

Question dingle, I am very sold on this amp, But now in a live situation Can the amp deliver when cranked a fair amount? Ive had amps in the past that sounded great around 3-4 on the master with the channel vol up, but when you cranked it the sound would be a bit too tight not as loose, Like the 6505 when its cranked it keeps its gain, can bugera do the same?
custommade21 1 year ago
@custommade21 Indeed it can. In recent reharsalls with my drummer, I've had this baby at ear melting volume, and that was only at between 2-3. My drummer steve is the loudest drummer i have ever played with, bar none. So I have to crank it to be heard above him. It sounded awesome, kept it's tone and gain. I've tried to video it, but my cam has a clip trip on it, so if you clip the mic too often it switches off, so I only got a minue or so and the cam shut down.
dingle1 1 year ago
6262 or 6505???
vazkez 1 year ago
@vazkez 6262 has very clear distortion, less mushy than 6505, though it has a lot less distortion than with the 6505. but you still never need all that distortion that you can get from a 6262. I dont have an opinion that which one is better, they are both great amps, but when comparing the pricetag, 6262 is a killer! the bottom end in 6262 is stunning as well, i love the amp! . I have a 6262 and my bands other guitarist has 6505, and they blend together very nicely!

Torqueofficial 1 year ago
I'm sold, based on your reviews. One question I would really like you to answer for me: I recently recorded in the studio with a 5150 that sounded great. I know this amp will be no different.
But when I'm playing live, can the Clean channel with crunch and HIGH Gain deliver the thick, heavy tone that you get on the Lead channel? Should I plan on an overdrive pedal for my guitar solos, or at least to BEEF UP the clean channel? The rhythm should be almost equal with the Lead. THANKS A LOT!!!
fenderstrat81991 1 year ago
@fenderstrat81991 The rhythm channel on this amp is voiced differently to the crunch channel, itsgoes from bluesy to classic crunch, capable of lead but not really a metal tone.
You be better to use the lead channel with the gain set at about half way, and use an OD pedal for leads.
dingle1 1 year ago
@dingle1 Thanks a lot man. Keep doing what your doing!
fenderstrat81991 1 year ago
im thinking about purchasing this amp, i play Hardcore/Metalcore music such as A Plea for Purging, For Today, In The Midst of Lions, Emmure, etc. Do you reccemend this amp for that or the 333xl?
Trevorcjx 1 year ago
@Trevorcjx Either amp will do the job just fine.
dingle1 1 year ago
What I forgot to ask, can you play me some Evergrey riffs, Evanescence like riffs or something similar like that, idc what, on both of them? At least something with a low end crunch ;).
666IcedEarth666 1 year ago
Hey Dingle, I have a question. Which one is better for agressive raw crunch with lots of lows, the 6262 with EL34 ( I know it has 6L6, but I'll swap em out later) or the 333XL? I'm looking into those two amps now, since I like both. I've watched a couple of videos but I can't make up my mind, I know the 333XL is more versatile and all, but I'm really looking for a heavy yet defined sound. So which one, the 6262 or the 333XL? Greetings!

hey great vid thx for posting! quick question-ive played both the 333xl and 6262 and like the lead on the 6262 a bit better but the clean sounded to gain-ish to me rather on the 333xl the clean was real warm and the lead was great but not as good as the 6262(IMHO). any tubes i can get or switch out of the 6262 to get a better clean channel?
