I think what really doomed the show is the fact that ALL first season, and the first few episodes of the second season is that EVERYONE was acting like a fucking hormonal teenager!! I mean seriously..... (for example) if my Lieutenant EVER acted like the one in the show i would kill him. (not kidding) these people are in the stargate program and are supposed to be the best of the best of 7 billion people!! for them to act like little bitches showed the traditional viewer that it was pathetic!!!

Agree while I liked the show and hated it got canceled I never cheered for a main character to die than in SGU when Ltn Scott got sucked out into space.Then was disappointed it was a hallucination lol.In season 2 Rush's character developed a lot and didn't seem like the "bad guy" most of the characters was developing nicely.Ltn Scott didn't progress any still the immature little prick and not a believable officer. The nail in the coffin was Mr Woolsey he killed SGA too such a douche.

Fantastic show but they canned it im seeing a trend in the stargate franchise sg1 10 seasons divide by 2 stargate atlantis 5 seasons divide by 2 Stargate universe rounding down 2 seasons whats next a one season wonder

The only characters I liked were Rush, Eli and Jamil Smith (Greer). I thought the show was more drama than scifi.

what a shame SGU got cancelled, i've been a Stargate fan since day one and loved all 3 shows. I think this show was too different in terms of it was darker and more serious, more adult oriented compared to the light hearted family oriented SG-1 and SGA. It was just too different too soon i think in time this show will be much more appreciated.

He was certainly the best actor in SGU and his character was great.To be honest i think if wasnt in it the show wouldnt have made it past season 1.

The show has officially been cancelled by the Sy Fy channel. Its a shame, it was finally ramping up. They'll show the rest of season 2 & then the network is dropping it. I see a lot of input & anger by the fans on facebook & twitter & other places on the web on figuring out how to keep it going & doing a writing campaign. The fans are coming out & not sitting by and letting this happen to this Starage series (its growing daily!) I love all the stargate series! - Save Our Destiny!

@scotchula69 the reason why it was cancelled was because it was not good. people were not interested in this version. you should put your energy in bringing atlantis back instead of universe. hopefully they will rap it up in season 2 and don't make an open end like with my favorite show from the past, SLIDERS.

Like I said I would have like to see Atlantis carry on to but unfortunately I dont think thats going to happen its been to long(sad here).I'd hate to see them put an end completely to the Stargate franchise with the cancelling of this show.I was hopeful that they would have @ least brought in guest appearences into this one of SG1&SGA! Not to mention @ LEAST wrap up Atlantis with some back story in this one.Heck it would be nice if this show could make a movie of Atlantis!

I've great respect for Robert, I love his anarchic acting style, this man can create complete chaos, and you believe him. He is one of the top actors of our time. It's been a great choice taking him into the stargate universe universe :)

and I understand why. they shouldn't have cancelled atlantis so fast and they should have kept this on ice for a wihile longer. also the episodes contain no real comedy are any linear editing of the episodes. action, story and effects i kinda like but it is too much like voyager and 90210.
