Remove recent activity from facebook's new newsfeed

Quick little question. How do I delete my activities on my profile. I've tryed it many times, but they keep on poping up, so how do I save it so they don't pop up anymore? I've already tryed the save button, but it won't let me click it. Anything else I could try?

hello, I used to be able to see all of my friend's activity on other pages and friends pages but I can't now for some reason and I've gone through all of the privacy settings and can't figure it out and it's driving me crazy. please help!!! I've gone online and tried to search for an answer but still don't know.

I'm sorry. there's no "new feed and wall setting". I know I'm just click on a remove button and then it'll disappear, but I can't do this with all recent activity because there's a lot of activity on my wall. and I don't want another friend to see that. I know they'll follow the links and they'll see what I post on my friend's wall.

Doesn't work any more, unfortunately. These messy "recent activity" updates is a real pain... I remove them all individually. Also annoying to visit profiles of friends who don't remove them, and have all these useless recent activity "updates" cluttering up their pages....

FB privacy settings have significantly deteriorated lately. Anyone knows a good alternative? Privacy settings must be at least as sophisticated as FB and the organisation behind must be respectful to its users.

Information about Recent Activity

Whether we display a story on your profile is now controlled by the privacy of the content itself, rather than an additional setting. For example, only people who can see both your Wall, and the Wall to which you posted would be able to see a story about you writing on a friends Wall. You cannot completely turn off recent activity stories anymore.

Well they changed the privacy features...... if only they added a "recent activity" section under privacy, then it would be perfect. But they instead make you go back to your wall and delete stuff you don't want after it's posted. It's annoying, I sometimes refrain from posting because people can see it before I get to delete it.

Give us back those options Facebook! If most of us complain, then we will be heard.

I don't think you can do that anymore with the recent Facebook changes.

For example, when I go to my profile and click on "Settings" and then "Privacy Settings," there is no longer a link for "News Feed and Wall." If you find a way to remove from your profile all your recent activity, please let us know. I've been playing around with FB for the past 30+ minutes with no luck!

@assaba22 You can easily remove all recent activity messages from your profile using a cool browser extension called "FB Purity". it adds a "Delete Recent Activity" button to the top of your newsfeed, and clicking it deletes all the recent activitiy messages

I think we will see another shift from facebook. It started with Friendster, then went to myspace, and now facebook. It seems likely that a new netwroking site that can addresss all of these issues will swipe all of the market share. I hope that, or they fix it.

This is useful but only for "APPLICATIONS". The one we are all griping about is the "News/Wall Feed" privacy setting that allows you to not show when you are in a relationship, became a fan, posted a comment n friends wall, pics etc. This is what FB took away that shows in my original video above. However this is still very helpful esp. for those that use a lot of APPS.

click on "friends" then look down the left side column and click on the list you created that you want to delete...when you click on it...look at the top in the gray headers and click "Delete list"

it used to be a one news thing before the update, not devided in news and live categories and it's annoying cause sometimes i need to check the "live feed" (as it shows now) fast, especially when i play mafia wars, the update won't show on news feed, but in live pffffff
