Mr. Bedlam, would you please, please come to the states and run for president.... you would have 2 big votes from Sweetie & I, but the ballot box would have to be brought to our bed.
The alternative to the Republicans is hardly better. The progressivists are the ones who created a monolithic beaurocracy, who want to control what children learn, and who created every behemoth, bankrupt social program that haunts America today. Oh yeah, and they want to sacrifice the U.S. labor force in the name of the 'global economy' (anyone read Obama's anti global poverty bill in the House lately?) Sometimes it seems that we're doomed at every turn.
The only way the Republican party is able to get non-rich people to vote for them is to trick them, basically. Usually they use some type of "values" issue, but it's all just an evil means to stay in power and exercise prejudices against gays and the poor of ALL races.
LOL! Yep. I think the Republicans are done for a while. They do what the hell they want in spite of what the people say. Sort of anti-Democratic? No pun intendend. ;)
You know what I just realized as I watched this again? This is almost a POSITIVE video about America.
I'm fairly speechless...
Did this actually cause you physical pain to post?
Well done, and, as an american, we're totally going to cook up some evidence that Australia has weapons of mass crude oil destruction and take you guys out.
We can but brace ourselves for the next phase. (This is assuming that some "terr'rist attack" doesn't conveniently occur, just in time to allow him to enact that provision that he installed last year, allowing him to become king, in the event of a national crisis.)
I love my country; but people running it piss me off!
such sweet optimism. Dubya can't be voted out. He's already done. His people could be voted out, but they've set up such a precedent for feeling that they're above the law, what makes you think that they're going anywhere? They can't keep burning the evidence in their office supply closets...or can they? It will be an interesting year.
And then the Democrats will cripple our economy to the point of 70s style recession, and 8, if not 4, years from now Jeb Bush will start the whole shitstorm all over again.
please don't say most people. It was only the corporate controlled media that needed new material and the hive brain people who only believe what they see on their TVs who ate up the entertainment.
A factory against climate change could output several hundred thousand tons of bullshit a day I'm sure. When everyone goes home in the diesal powered constiuincey mobile they can leave a trail of dimes to find the way back to that place they built for no reason.
Hey. Don't worry about the United States. It doesn't exist. America...shouldn't just refer to the US, but rather the whole....NORTH AMERICA? SOUTH AMERICA? Dunno. Whatever. It doesn't exist.
Clinton is set to win - a hawk. Her only real competitor is Giuliani - another hawk. Let's just say if I was in Iran I'd be much too busy digging straight down to comment. 2008 will be very interesting times indeed.
SeanBedlam the optimist? Astonishing. Really I hope that it happens, but I can see a Republican shithead getting elected just as much as I can see a Democratic shithead. And thanks to this thing we call the Electoral College, my vote doesn't fucking count anyhow! Yay Democracy!
wow sean! I hope this was a prophetic dream rather than just wishful thinking. I have a hard time believing that it is going to work out anywhere as good as all that. Besides,it does not matter who wins. The same people will always maintain control in the background. Not enough Americans really care and so the hope and the vision is now just a lucid dream we're all having.
i think u got it wrong. no presidential candidate (with a real chance) is saying anything about pulling out of Iraq. They are all in it. America is truly fucked. Because Americans are not controlling it. I mean the people is control have America's interest very low on the priority list. Sean, you checked out Ron Paul? he is republican. But just look at the shit he talks about. Tell me what u think. Good vid as always mate.
Does this guy do anything other than bitching and fucking moaning about America? Huh, I'm one to talk. All I ever do is bitch and fucking moan about YouTube, so.....
they kill JKF, Bobby K, Dr Martin Luther King, Lennon.....but no-one attempts to kill Bush (both of them)...what the fuck is wrong with this world??????
You've answered your own question. Those dead people were a threat to the status quo. Bush isn't. He works for the folks who like to think they own you and everyone else.
States with average IQ's of 99 and under voted for Bush, and states with average IQ's of 101 or higher voted for Kerry in 2004. States with IQ's of 99-101 were split between the two. I don't beleive that will change AT ALL in the next election! Remember, the No Child Left Behind Act was a means for Bush to make the country stupider by kicking schools to the curb so his party could get more votes among the increasing number of retarded states.
The problem with US, is that we declare "war" on everything, war on drugs, war on terror, war on this that and everything such that the term "war" has become either meaningless, or distant and media defined - something that happens in another country even if we are causing it. Until we finally go bankrupt (perhaps in the process) we don't even understand the sense of sacrifice war actually requires.
History shows us that America has a bad habit of installing democractic dictators in third world nations. Unless our 'great' nation finds a way to impose democracy on the climate change I doubt there will be a war against it, especially since we were the fuck heads who refused to sign the Kyoto Treaty.(P1)
No, I still think we are far more likely to destroy the lives of my Persian brothers and sisters in Iran. Assuming this bullshit in Iraq actually settles down, along with established American military posts in the Gulf and Afghanistan, we will have Iran surrounded on all sides for a possible coup.
HuFuckingRay for Osvaldo Dorticós Torrado, Ngo Dinh Diem, The Shah Reza Pahlavi, Sadamn Hussein, and all those other fuck heads who were supported by America during the 1950's-70's who rose to power after the Europeans lost their colonies.
Way too optimistic Sean -- have you looked at the Democratic front runners -- all are hawks too and want to stay in the Middle East. Our only hope, as world citizens, is for Democrats Dennis Kucinich or Mike Gravel, or Republican(really Libertarian) Ron Paul to get into the oval office. As a Canadian, all I can do is cross my fingers and hope for the best. Worst case scenario -- something happens and in comes martial law and Bush/Cheney will continue their reign of...er war on Terror.
Yeah, well, the way I see it is people of vision change all this shit. It's not just a matter of weighing up options, it's about inventing whole new ones. Etcetera! ;)
not just people of vision, but brave self-sacrificing people and we can only hope that they stay alive long enough to get some real work accomplished.
Woah! that was almost childish! i cant believe it Oh sean, dont listen to him he didnt mean it honest!... geez it almost makes me sad to see the chat box was wasted for such a pitiful attempt at a comeback!
Canadian currency is now worth more than the American dollar.
The "destruction from within" is almost complete. We're a huge corpse that is waiting for the necrophilic undertaker to stick "the long pole in the tent" down our throats.

sean: Oops, didn't see it (altho' I read most of the stuff under it!!). Good video, and yes, Mr. Bush is mostly viewed as a man desperate to leave some sort of legacy of success at something. In truth, tho', the people of the U.S. re-elected the guy in 2004, terrified of a re-attack and unimpressed with John Kerry. Kerry could have been a corrupt serial killer, with a penchant for pre-teen males and I'm convinced we would have done better choosing him than Bush. Oh well . .
Nice thought, but sanity wasn't on our side 3 years ago, why should next year be any different. They'll take the line of: Hate the sin(George W.), love the sinner(the republican party). And thus did Nascar overtake baseball as the US fave sportX/
You're more optimistic than I, Sean. As an American, I know full well my fellow citizen's capacity to surprise everyone and do the wrong thing politically. The big problem with democracy, I feel, is that it involves people.
Another problem is that the people seem to be offered the choice between one bunch of capitalists who aim to destroy the planet and another bunch with much the same goals.
Love the description. I would love to be a nurse in a place where we put GW when he's old--there would be a kiddie table and some little chairs, and we could give him some color crayons and some fingerpaints!
Hey Sean you know that voting is not compulsory in America so most Americans won't or couldn't be bothered, that's why fuckheads like GWB and others can get voted in by a minority. Sad isn't it?
it's true, but more complex. The minority recognized the power of manipulating the easy element- by controlling them with their fear and hate. While the liberals stay home and pout ("what good is my vote?"), the moral minority comes out to vote against abortion and gay marriage, the voting machines are rigged to reverse in case of a landslide and impoverished districts (usually vote liberal) are broken up, redistricted and disenfranchised. Our Fascists work hard for that vote.
Ron Paul is a Libertarian....so hard to vote for that. Freedom to the biggest and ugliest unless you recreate what we have now to try to restrain and regulate the big and uglies. Know you know why the world is the way it is...and the big and Uglies Bush represents are trying to un-pick the checks on their "freedom" to screw you over.
Check your messages man, and I promise there is no goatse in there. Or in here. Or anywhere near me. Or... ummm... ever should have existed at all in any universe.
As I look upon the unfolding Shakespearean tragedy that is American current events, I am reminded by John Locke's "Second Treatise of Government", in which he states that if the government violates basic human rights the people are obligated to rebel.
Or, on the other hand, they could choose to rebel, and let the rest of the world raise their hands in disbelief and say "WTF IS THIS SHIT".
Interesting you say that as in New Zealand the news was consistently reporting that the Lib/Nats were well behind in the polls and expected to lose. That's even considering that most NZ daily newspapers are now owned by Fairfax and have begun referring to anyone they don't like as "Leftists" (capitalisation as in the Fairfax neo-con loving rags).
omg the neo cons are everywhere - even NZ where middle-Earth lives and the fairies, hobbits and elves doth dwell? Is there no corner of the Earth not consumed by this evil?
The English-speaking world is actually fairly homogenous in terms of how public policy is shaped. They all look at each other and they all look at the US. If the US comes up with some form of plausible stupidity, then others will seek to copy it and will only abandon it when they try to implement it and it is proven to the pure stupidity.
If that happens the US, then the world will be flushed down the toilet of galactic stupidity called global warming. R.I.P.

I'm still waiting for your opinion on Ron Paul, Sean.

I think he should vote for me!

You have my vote. :D

kthnxbye.

I can hardly wait for the tax on air to
kick in. Once they notice that useless
people like artists and poets breathe
out CO2 there'll be a run on pipe gates
that say "Arbeit Macht Frei" and green
house gases will drop dramaticly. Since
just removing the gas doesn't have the
support that a new tax does.

Check your messages man, and I promise there is no goatse in there. Or in here. Or anywhere near me. Or... ummm... ever should have existed at all in any universe.

However, that War on Climate Change comment is too true.

As I look upon the unfolding Shakespearean tragedy that is American current events, I am reminded by John Locke's "Second Treatise of Government", in which he states that if the government violates basic human rights the people are obligated to rebel.
Or, on the other hand, they could choose to rebel, and let the rest of the world raise their hands in disbelief and say "WTF IS THIS SHIT".

you too, have been touched by the horror of goatse. I feel your pain, brother!

At least they can't shoot climate change...
Also I love that no matter how many massacres they have, they still can't top the Australian record... ok that was disturbing... but true.

Well, no-one expected the conservative government here in Australia to get the boot, but they did- big time. It's been quite an education down here.

Interesting you say that as in New Zealand the news was consistently reporting that the Lib/Nats were well behind in the polls and expected to lose. That's even considering that most NZ daily newspapers are now owned by Fairfax and have begun referring to anyone they don't like as "Leftists" (capitalisation as in the Fairfax neo-con loving rags).
linuxluver 4 years ago
"Leftists" eh? Bloody fascists!
seanbedlam 4 years ago
omg the neo cons are everywhere - even NZ where middle-Earth lives and the fairies, hobbits and elves doth dwell? Is there no corner of the Earth not consumed by this evil?

The English-speaking world is actually fairly homogenous in terms of how public policy is shaped. They all look at each other and they all look at the US. If the US comes up with some form of plausible stupidity, then others will seek to copy it and will only abandon it when they try to implement it and it is proven to the pure stupidity.

you need to stop TRYING to sounds smart :)
