The order to move that your Commanding Officer issued out from cover, in the real Civil war, would NOT have been a good idea. The Federals were under the cover of trees and and were dug in. Moving out into the open like that directly under fire, despite Civil war tactics, would be a suicide mission. By the time you guys stopped you would've lost 40-50% of your men. However, Charging would've been a whole different story.
