phoenix down always worked for earith exept for this moment.....when she died i cried pretty hard......i can't watch this without an tear rolling down.....it still gets to me.....even though it's bin a long time i played this wonderfull game
@kuyaPpanda yes i think i also heard that it had something to do with his sephiroths sword as well but yes you cant put a pheonix down on a stab wound right through the stomach because thats where your intestines are as well as many other vital organs if i have my anatomy correct

See Aeris being the last ancient was the only one that could pray or summon the magic called "holy" which main purpose was to stop meteor that Sephiroth had summon, now that Sephiroth killed her, no one can pray for holy, but what Sephiroth didnt know is that she already did, its that Jenova and Sephiroth being on the planet is what was holding Holy from releasing and stopping meteor, So Cloud and everyone else had to kill Jenova and Sephiroth to release Holy. and omg im a nerd!
That was the white materia ( the thing in final fantasy 7 that lest you cast magic) the ancients used to summon holy, It was passed down from generation to generation, and aerith being the last one had it.

first of all, its AeriTH not AeriS it was a translation fault, it needs to be pronounced as SephiroTH and you writhe that 2 with TH so it is aeriTH and the moste of us do not hope for a ps3 remake but for a psp remake, cause Crisis Core was also on the PSP
Yeah. Squaresoft said that her name was supposed to sound like Earth because of her abilities, but there was a translation error. I like the name Aerith better, but Aeris is a cute name, too. ^_^

you cant really blame the design, the AC version is how im sure the designers would have intended it to look... but in 1997, it was pretty hard to render hair with the current graphics engines... scrap pretty hard, it would have been impossible. FF7 was cutting-edge when it came out.
