Sorry, I can't take credit for this video. I am just posting it since it is such a great snapshot of our time during OIF 1. This is probably the best put together video out there!
thanks for making this video. my brother was in big windy at that time. he was in the flight crew lol. well it let me see some of what he was explaining to me. thanks again
rasdre83 get over it, without helicopters, maintenace, support, or flight crews, there would be no Aviation Company. Face it the flying part is a little more interesting to watch than turning wrenches or visiting supply or the motor pool or the DF.
i was in F. co 159th AVN. Regt. "Big Windy" this video is biased toward the Flight crew. I think it didn't reflect that our company was the size of a battalion. we had over 300 soldiers, and trust me the majority of us where not flight crew. i must admit the video did bring back fond memories, but that is all over now. due to reconstructing F. co 159th "Big Windy" is now B. co 5-158th and only has about soldiers now half are officers. they are now further south i called Katterbach.
im a future hook and i wanted to know what i would be expecting in the field and
what the fastest way to be a part of the flight crew
