We saw the movie in Fremont. The selection of geets, shabads and scenes conveys how much thought has gone into it. Thanks to Vismaad and may you always be in chardi kala. We hope people will stop producing/buying pirated copies so that Vismaad can continue the seva.
Our 6 year old woke up saying Bhagat ji noo lae gaye. She liked when the khalsa jumped on the mughal and when Zakaria Khan needed help from Bh Taru Singh's juti! She learned to always do the right thing and help people in need.
We saw the Bhai Taru Singh movie today in Fremont, CA. We always enjoy the animated movies that Vismaad produces. We also like to see the increasing improvement in the quality of the movies.

Whilst it is creative to represent South Asian history in the form of an animation, what they are preaching is questionable. It is biased.
Look at the intro on the right...Akbar was a Mughal, was he brutal? No.
One thing I am impressed with is they got the appearance of the Mughals right! They had ancestry from Mongolia, Central Asia (Turkic), Persia, Afghanistan, and Indian.
for a start brother, its not preaching. this is a lesson from history which is only about 300 years old. verified by historical records.Biased? hardly ! Just take a look at other sikh stories such as when Buddhu Shah - a muslim holy saint joined our 10th Guru to fight the moghuls along with hundreds of his muslim followers (mureeds)some of them & even his son attained martydom for the cause of justice. our Guru ji blessed their sacrifice which is still praised in our daily prayers (d'wah's)
It is not biased. Read about Jehangir and Aurangzeb and Babar, just to mention a few. Aurangzeb imprisoned his own Dad! This movie portrays a true depiction of that time.. a very accurate historical fact.. go watch the movie first, bro..its a must see movie for everybody.

awesome movie saw it at the local sikh primary school here in the UK, very well made and a must for Sikhs and really anyone with an interest.
Shows how Sikhs of this world at one time would die for their faith and kesh...now we pay money for someone to cut it..hmmm..
