  • Ann,

It's all I can do to play my own tunes. I have so many irons in the fire, I doubt if I'll be able to slow down even a little before Christmas 2010.

I will listen when I get a chance though.

  • Thats a pristine sounding guitar wow great work beautiful playing.Thats alot of hard work we are hearing ..Thanks

  • Thank you.

  • A beautiful, original sound

  • Great tone from your guitar. Wonderful arrangement.

I hear nice colors in your harmony.(that probably does not make sense but I don't know how else to describe what I hear).

I play a custom made Ribbecke which has a wonderful acoustic tone.

Cheers and keep posting. You class up the joint!

    allen

  • Totally makes sense man. Sounds correspond to colors which correspond to feelings, so if you see those beautiful colors, its a great sign of an amazing musical work that touches you emotionally. Great work Rob. And for anyone who wonders about the color explanation above, its basic musical psychology.

  • beautiful! good job man

  • Thanks so much.

  • Fabulous... great performance and recording!

  • Thanks Yeman. It is just my camera condenser mic. I should redo it someday, plugged into my pre amp.

  • i still think u should play flight of the bumble bee

    "Don Corleone"

  • i love this arrangement! You have any tabs or sheet music of this arrangement?

  • Sorry, I'm just flying by the seat of my pants. It's different every time.

  • I can't stop listening to it again and again Bob. Your play is so smooth than anyone else on Tube. BTW You are much handsome than Tommy honestly. No offense to him though.

  • What a wonderful performance!

  • why can't i sing this with you again? sad day! :( -Cori

  • Nobody sings it as well as you do kiddo.

    Merry Christmas

  • Hey Rob I really enjoyed the arrangement you have great touch...

I don't recognize the guitar ... it has a clear tone that is is wonderful.

    The Cane

  • Thanks for the nice comments.

That is a Zimnicki 18" German spruce archtop.

Gary makes the best playing and sounding guitars I have ever seen.

  • So beautiful...

What town and state do you live in, Rob?

  • Just south of Detroit. Wyandotte.

  • wow im generally a really hard rock fan but i loved that. awesome job!

  • Not only a very beautiful solo instrumental but I also enjoyed listening to the tone of that archtop. Very harplike at times. 5*****

  • Thanks Gil.

When it's not plugged in, it has a very different sound.

  • The guy sure can play.

  • Actually, my channel started with music videos. This one is kind of old, the lessons were an afterthought. I guess I could go back and take off all my music videos. I would rather have both.

  • I'm not a fan of this song either, but I would have to agree with winddance here, you certainly did a real fine job with it! You're good at converting people, it seems...

  • Thanks. I always liked the song, but it is over done. Now I've done it again. I like playing songs people know, so that when I change it up a bit, they know where I was coming from.

  • And you didn't come down from sugary mountain, if you know what I mean. I like that. You da man!

  • Thank You for posting this. I had that dumb giddy smile on my face as you moved through that song. Great version.

  • Thank you for the nice words. I forgot to smile, but I still had the dumb look on my face. I didn't get much sleep the night before.

  • Thanks. The guitar is a Zimnicki Archtop. It is my favorite guitar in the world.

  • Excellent version. Your guitar sounds great! I really enjoyed the video.

  • I never liked that song until now. Beautiful job, Rob.
