I remember when I got the Playstation version of Persona, and then hearing on how the Snow Queen quest was taken out... I've always wanted to go through that quest and see what the differences were/what it's like. For those that have the PSP and Playstation versions, would you say that the Snow Queen quest alone warrants the purchase of a PSP/PSP version of Persona?
The Snow Queen Quest, eh? I'm glad...but to be honest I was never really too interested in it. It might be fun to mess around with if only to use Yuki, but other than that it doesn't really do anything for the plot.
I'm amused that the game's music was updated to fall in line with P3 and P4's soundtrack. I hope they didn't mess with it too much, though; Persona had a great ambient soundtrack, much different from the pop-inspired stuff of the later games.
Looking forward to this very much, ever since I stepped on and cracked (yes cracked) my Persona disc I have been very anxious to get my hands on Persona again and this seems like it will do the trick!
They probably won't, due to several issues within the game that made it too controversial for it to be localized here in the states when it first came out.
By today's standard. Suicide and references of hitler and whatnot is tolerated to a higher degree.
Considering the amount of twisted games that made it's way through. i'm sure Persona 2.0 could make it's way by today's standards...
Anyhow, if a game like Trapt (which is somewhat lightweight) where you play a girl who basically kills absolutely everyone with horrible traps and tortures got localized. Why not P2.0?
True, but one other Atlus game came close to not being localized here in the states. It was called Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne. That one, unlike Innocent Sin, was highly controversial, since it dealt HEAVILY with all religions, mostly in a negative fasion.
You might be right; Innocent Sin might be localized due to higher tolerance. Only question is which system(s) do they localize it for? Can't be for PS1, so it's either PS2, or even PS3 as well.
Trapt is part od the Deception line of games, which came out around the same time frame as Persona. Same premise, too - a girl kills with horrible traps for revenge. Violence isn't a big deal compared to offending someone's religion in the states.
Even now, I'm not all that certain P2 would be brought over without incident or censorship.
uh...but what would they censor again? gayness? now, in this day and age, after we get gorefests like manhunt every year and the previous personas brought over completely intact?
What I admire the most about ATLUS is that it keeps it's games for people with a brain, and regularly those who can't enjoy SMT games are usually people with a laughable IQ.
I took a few looks at comments from other RPGs and noticed that 80% of the fans can't even spell correctly... one glance at this very comment page shows that the fans at the very least can type correctly, and use punctuation... excluding a few idiots here and there.
Great job ATLUS. Always know that your "words" are heard.
It's the D-pad controls that soured this game for me. Doesn't really look like they changed anything for this version either. Sucks since the storyline really does seem pretty kickass.
When up makes you go left and left makes you go downward, it's a pain in the ass. I've seen games where they do that as a status affect(like Terranigma), it's so annoying.
i forgot which game i did the rotating thing... but it helped me when i rotated the controller, and then "rotating" the d-pad in my head did the rest.
I loved the first game, and was dissapointed that they never included the snow queen quest. . . anyway, here's hoping for Innocent Sin in the future lol

well... i think this game is going to suck major balls, sigh, i know, i know, you're probably thinking "WTF is this noob talking about" well i happened to own the game in japanese, and is not as great as i expected. this game makes me want to be in one of those gamespot commercials where ppl hit their heads on the wall for buying a bad game =/

7.Go to the gym's storage room(behind gym) and open the orange box that is there(second choice opens it), you have now found the Snow queen mask
8. Bring the Snow queen mask to the school's dividing corridor, where the hole is.

When you return with Maki's mother to school do the following:
1.Talk to Devil-Boy in the school's library once
2.Talk to the girl in room 2-4
3.Return to the library and talk to Devil-Boy again
4.Talk to the guy and two girls in the drama club room(near gym)
5.Talk to the guy and girl in the student council room(3rd floor)
6.Enter the principal's office and talk to the principal and dean

If they do Innocent Sin, it would probably end up on the PSP since P1 is going on the PSP

if that happened, i'd HAVE to buy a PSP on principle.
