L99 is a 4.3L V8. I know, I have one too. The Vin code for Caprices read W. That was to signify the 4.3L V8. It produced around 200 horsepower standard with just shy of 300 lb.ft of torque. Mine. Well. Mine produces about 55 miles per hour with cruise.

Stock street tires on a pickup truck with a high stall converter and all it will do is spin out of the hole... maybe if traction wasn't an issue but then again were talking modded to stock. Stock vortec heads and a nice lumpy cam should be pushing over 400hp. Probably 330+ to the wheels. I haven't had it to the track yet but i have beat 13 flat sec cars. beat a modded 2009 BMW 335I (3.0L TT) with work done during the summer. Got a thumbs up at the end of that race. haha

Ok like i have told like 20 other ppl who can't read..... It was a "pass key fault" light which was caused by me bypassing VATS. A "Low washer fluid" light was on. And a "Change oil" light was on (it comes on every 2-3k miles). There is nothing wrong with the car at all....

The L99 is the 4.3L v8, the LT1 is the 5.7L v8, the L05 is the TBI 350 and the L03 is the TBI 305..... It has the L99 and has 200hp.

3.5 is a v6, if im not mistaken, the chevy taho had a 4.5 6 cylinder inline. but civilian caprices and most crown vics are 4.3.

Haha you need the lt1 thats what i wanted when i had my 92 caprice but it only had the 5.0 was still pretty quick but that car didn't last long due to no lisences and wrecks haha i wish i still had it though

the 4.3 V8 RPO L99 only used in the Caprice from 1994-1996 is 265 cubic inches, just like the original Chevrolet V8 of 1955

Yes its a 4.3, my friend has a 9C1 and it walked me in my 4.3. The 4.3 can still hold its own for being a heavy ass car though.

Nice, I have an 06' caprice classis. It is the police 9C1 model with the custom leather interior. It has the 5.7 liter v-8 with 260 hp and 330 ft-lbs torque
