Truly the greatest no one can sing like tht. I could hear some Karen Clark Sheard type of wailing at 5:19 but it was more powerful.Chaka got it down pack. She is the full package!

That is real singing when you can blow up a mic, and Chaka don't need to hold the mic up to her mouth, she got vocal range, that alot of these so called singers don't have now.

The real Chaka Khan fans know she aint screaming, her voice is so powerful and she always got people hating on her because they are jealous that their voice is not powerful.

C'mon now..to be fair the woman got off a lot of things late in life, and mixed with a hectic touring schedule,and various family issues, I'm sure a few shows will be rough. But she's definately up to fighting weight vocally. I don't think she'll ever be like she used to..it's a work in progress, so she'll get even better. Check her out over the years, her voice is constantly changing. Just think, no smoking, drinking, drugs,sleep, etc and she can still do a performance like THAT. Flawless

speaking of how powerful Chaka's voice is, she did BLEW up a mic!! she talked about it in an Arsenio interview! she's not screaming, a more proper term for it is PRIMAL WAIL!!! Aresenio claims that only Chaka and Patti Labelle have such vocal power!

i have been monitoring Chaka's vocal condition for few years now and i must say that there are some improvements happening especially in her vocal elasticity,compared to some previous performances..the vocal riffs are done in effortless fashion in her latest performances..yes,more vocal works needed on the higher range and she'll be sanging just like in her early days..we can see some improvements because Chaka managed to curb her unhealthy habits of smoking and drinking..give her some more time

but IMO i don't think shes screaming nonsense here..she sounded like a trumpet blowing!! a very melodious scream!! i absolutely love it, she gave a vocal definition to her jazz interpretations..absolutely unique and AWESOME

Vids like this really let you see how far her voice has come. Her voice has changed a lot over the years. She's always wanted to be a jazz singer and have vocal characteristics of a horn and she's succeeded. She hits notes and vocal runs that she couldn't have pulled off as effortlessly decades ago
