Dang man, I wasn't trying to be a douche. Street Fighter was first released in 1987. Dragon Ball didn't come around in the US before the late 90's, but it existed in comic form in Japan from 1984. My only point is that the Kamehameha existed before Street Fighter did, therefore they could easily have taken its appearance for the Hadouken.

DBZ may have come before SF but tbh Streetfighter owns it in terms of fighting games. When you think martial arts beat em up with fireballs you think about SF not DBZ and that is the bottom line in, when it comes to the anime's its all a question of taste i, it depends if you like a SF or the overthetop fighting of dbz

I don't think that could have been put any better. Although I like DBZ, there has rarely ever been a decent game. There are a few....but very few, and none of them are well known. Compared to other, more mainstream appealing genres (shooters...) fighting games and their glory days are a thing of the past, but Street Fighter will always hold it's place at number one for me.

To be exact the first anime was discovered in the 30's. It was a just a very short film - like 7 seconds long which showed a boy fishing. It was believed to be the product of an artist experimenting with different art styles, since then the style became widely popular ... but I guess you already know that. :P
