so ur showing a video of a "straight out of the box" desert truck... eventhough u changed the remote, reciever, & the esc... I know that to change the remote u need a new reciver & esc.... but i still think thats "False Advertising" Being that the remote that they give u & the all-in-one esc are pointless if u ever expect to upgrade performance which 99% of us will bc 10mph isn't fast enough... without realizing it u put over $100 into the car with the upgrades u did and it is still not fast...

@policedog100295 We used the MSC20RB and a Spektrum SR3500 receiver simply to be able to use that transmitter. It was not to change the performance. Also the stock servo plugs right in to that receiver since it's a 3-wire configuration. The idea behind the swap was to simply be able to use a DX3S transmitter, not change performance. The goal was to have identical performance which it does, not increase speeds. This is why I disclosed the change in transmitter early on and didn't conceal it

@HorizonRCdotCom ok heres another question for you... not trying to be mean but do u really think that this is worth the cash (be honest) upgrades are really expensive bc they give u cheap parts from the start... where as the desert buggy has much better concept and way better parts... to be honest since my desert truck experience i will never go back to losi again... and just recently got a 1/16 Traxxas Summit... now i completly a Traxxas fan all the way...

just bought one after down grading from a Revo 2.5 (which was my first REAL rc, but too much work just to take it out). I have to say, I am impressed. I have only driven it once, but it was a lot of fun, and looked faster than 15 mph, but then again, it's small so I may look faster than it is.

@camaromanss27 No, that uses wheel hexes where this truck uses a cross pin in the rear tires and the fronts ride on ball bearings.

I feel I must warn the viewers of this video who want to purchase this truck, the little 280 motor that this truck has gets very hot and melts the plastic back cover, losi makes trucks that look good but if you want real quality, buy a traxxas, hpi, or tamiya.

Reset the throttle trim, that should take care of it

They're just different. Due the its larger size the Mini will be faster and handle better while the Micro is better suited for smaller or more confined areas.

my battery lasts 30 minutes. and i got the 2 hour charger with a extra battery. taking it out to the desert tomorrow :)

Keep an eye on the pinion and spur gears. Little particles of sand like to get trapped in there.

Shouldn't. The ESC will change things like the punch, efficiency and things like that but top speed will be by and large unaffected.

ummm how long did you charge it? and with the micro sometimes you have to roll it backwards a little then give throttle for it to go...idk though lol.

I have a mini desert truck with a mamba 25 and I was gonna go run it in some some very powdery dirt and will it be bad for my mamba and other parts if i put some sand paddles on it?

Keep a close eye on the bearings in the motor to make sure that dirt and sand doesn't get inside there. Other than that just normal maintenance should be fine.

The electronics are not waterproofed and it does not feature rubber sealed ball bearings so I would advise avoiding wet conditions.

hey i have a mini t now and ive had tons of problems and i was just gonna buy a new mini t but then i heard about the mini desert truck and i was thinking about getting that, the only thing is that i upgrated the motor, could i put the upgraded mini t motor on the desert truck?

Yes, just about anything for the Mini-T will fit on the Mini-Desert Truck, including motors and tires.

i charged my battery for 5 hours and my run time was only like 5 minutes. then the red light blinks on the truck and i wait thirty seconds, and it goes again for a little bit. What is my problem?
