  • very bad gearing .VERY BAD.

  • @kefalismos why do you think that..?

  • I have an NA IPS which is more than fast enough for me in Australia where there is not a lot of opportunity to drive at 250kmh, hehe! I chose the NA IPS because it is lighter and the difference in performance does not match the difference in price. The engine is fantastic to be honest, and very economical too.

  • also that lack of top end performance someone mentioned. Don't also forget that's the auto tranny version, which by default will deduct performance from the manual transmission system. In terms of out right racing performance, even the standard Evora competes head on with a 3 times expensive lamborghinni gallardo on a track (depicted by Top Gear UK). And just have to appreciate the Toyota engine choice in the sense that it's tough, reliable and not a petrol guzzler. Dats my lotus rant, t'anks

  • Ahh Lotus is awesome, sadly I couldn't afford one (until my mid life crisis). Everyone here seems to focus on that engine, well the supercharged version doesn't add peak performance barely at all. Power to weight is actually a minor increase. It's more just giving a much more thorough torque band i.e., low end shove, better for general driveability and powering out corners. Also, that lack of soul.. Don't let vids fool, their audio record can often leave out a lot of engine tone,

  • It has no power once it reaches 240km/h.

  • Ach du heiliges Kanonenrohr ... wie wackelt denn die Kiste auf die 280-290 zu ^^ heftig

  • @RingMotorsport Das rasselt total ... seltsam oder.

  • don't like the gear ratios

  • 287 kph? Factory's claim is 269, how's the big difference?

  • @DeDeexit I think the speedo is some has an advance of a few kph. Many car's speedos are 15-25kph in advance at those speeds. to 269 + 20 kph and here you go.

For example many cars limited to 250kph show 270 kph on the speedo^^

  • @vortex3k But he says in the description that 287 kph per GPS, which is the accurate, real speed.

  • The gearbox doesn't fit to the car, also the engine is boring!

  • Love the chassis but Lotus (toyota) needs to give us a motor with some soul
