Donna Noble was the only (human) character that I ever cried and mourned for. In the back of my head, I knew that she was fictional, but I went through all of the stages of grief, and it took 2 days before I could feel any sort of okay after I saw what happened to her. She was my favorite of all the companions and I think that series 4 was the best of the new Dr. Who so far.

No because he has a time lord brain with human heart, but Donna had a human brain with Time Lord brain then mixed into it, so she would have died with the with all that knowledge, but the other Doctor will die only when death comes, because he can't regenerate. Thanks for watching. :)

That is untrue. he like Donna is half human half timelord, we know that he has a time lord mind with a human mind, specifically Donna's, mixed in with it, hence why he starts talking like her. It is likely that it is just one of many plot holes that can be found in every doctor who episode.

No its not a plot hole really, because the other Doctor already had the mind of a Tme Lord, a mind that can already cope with all things Time Lordy like the actual Doctor, and took in Human traits, like Donna's personality. The only thing that really affected him was that he didn't grow an extra heart, which plays a part in the regeneration process. Donna has a Human brain, the Time Lord stuff was extra, and could eventually kill her.

I wish she had been on for longer. They didn't get enough use out of her as a companion. It feels like in the older series the companions would be along for much longer, but here it feels like every season they're changing them.

Yeah they do change them, but I think that is to keep every series feeling fresh....and to think if that wasn't the case, then we wouldn't have got Donna at all....and you never know, anyone can come back in Sci-fi....

Hiya....the Doctor.2 was already a time lord but he inherited human bits like only one heart from Donna.....but Donna was human and she inherited his brain.....so a time lord being the better specias can last with human features....but a human is too fragile to have time lord parts as such....

So sad what happened. There's no doubt that Donna would have stayed with him forever, especially as he's moved on from abandoning his companions, e.g. Sarah Jane, Jack etc, and actually can handle them staying with him for as long as they want.

yeah. he even says that to rose. while they can stay with him for the rest of their lives, he can't do the same as he will out live them.

But with Donna, their was no romance issues that caused problems like with Rose and Martha and I do think she was the one person above all others he really wanted to stay for as long as possible. So sad this couldn't happen, and that losing her was the only way to save her :(

After reading this I wanted to make sure before I went on a rant about how retarded you were. I got the offical ratings and basicly this series got 7.3 million views (based on last episode) and the best being 8.4. So actually you're part of a very small, less than 10% fraction, that think that Donna is bad. This based on the fact that at the end of this series those less than 10% people where avoiding the show on purpose and not missing it by accident. My point: You're a thick twat.

Donna wasn't my favourite character but I adored her in the end. She was the chalk to his cheese and they matched so well! In the soley 'we're best friends and no we dont want to bone but we want to spend our lives together' type of way.

when she was first on I hated her and was so upset she was the new companion but then we got to know her and I loved her. And Donna was his bestfriend. Something he's never had [and exactly what he needed after Rose and Martha]. Sure he was friends with Rose and Martha but, the kind of friendship he had with Donna was unique and very different from the friendships he's had before. After losing Rose, the turmoil Martha left in her wake, Donna's exactly what he needed & now he's lost her too. Just like Rose, he can never be around her or [in Donna's case] see her again without it killing her.

For those of you who don't know (including me until today), the chameleon circuit was what allowed the TARDIS to shape-shift into different objects for stealth-purposes, but it got damaged and has since remained stuck in the shape a telephone booth.

Donna was the best.

Credit to Catherine Tate for giving us this amazing character. I loved the fact that the prophecy said the most loyal companion would die. Donna was always there for the Doctor and he knew that. She brought so much out of him and was there for him on so many levels.

They were best mates and thats what will be missed next series, the friendship.

Catherine Tate is a brilliant actress and I will be following her work.
