To the authors: I have two questions: as you pointed out, a judge in the US is entitled to recant a plea bargain and to give the defendant a harsher sentence. First, can you honestly assert that this often happens and that the fact that Polanski was a star didn't influence the judge's decision? Second, considering the fact that the experts found Polanski "not deviant", can you honestly say that Judge Rittenband was being fair to Polanski and professional when he recanted the plea?

I also went and saw "Taken" with 2 of my sons. They loved it... and so did I. I hate violence and I KNOW it is out there.... but I don't want to watch a movie reminding me... how miserable life can be.... I want to see a movie where the GOOD GUY... kicks the shit out of the bad guys. We may be very wired after the movie is over... but there is also ALOT of satisfaction in seeing the bad guys get put down in the end.
Maybe it's a FAIRY TALE, but I love happy endings!
