  • @trillierful No just the ones that hated it for stupid reasons like Michael Myers not being in. I just hated it because it doesn't make sense what was the howl villains plan? To put kids in masks and kill off the entire population and then rule a world where everyone's dead except for him and a bunch of androids it's just not that scary to me.

  • yknow how in the trailer it showed the pumpkin splitting open and then showing a skeleton face in it. well in the opening credits of the film, I AM TOTALLY FREAKED OUT AND SCARED MAN!

  • I really wish I could have lived back then! I don't like living today as a yound person because it sucks

  • This intro is great, I love the 80s synthesizer music by Alan Howarth; I like the first film but this one is creepier.

  • i just have to say that the originals Halloween 1978 and this one were the best ones i have ever seen. The rest of the saga was ok :P Michael Myers is the best slasher ever!!!!!!! thums up

  • My second favorite Halloween intro, I love that it let's you know that the night isn't over yet!

  • This is my favorite of all the Halloween movies, tied with number 1

  • CUZ PEOPLE MICHAEL MYERS IS THE KING OF THE SLASHER'S NO ONE WILL BE LIKE HIM ! HELL I WANT MICHAEL MYERS BE MY BUDDY THATS HOW CRAZY THIS SOUNDS!

  • "You don't know what death is!"

    haha EPIC

  • This intro is great, but the synthesized 80's music is HORRIBLE. Should of just kept the original.

  • This intro really kicks ass!!! xD

  • I actually liked this redone theme with more of a gothic style to it...it's far more menacing sounding than the original.

  • classic line from Loomis but the music blows it for me..too 80's and the pumpkin in the original looks alot more menacing/evil lol

  • 1,2,4 the best all others are crap.

  • @davidgalindo07 H20 is one of the better ones..they're all entertaining though, Ressurection is so dumb that it's hilarious especially Busta Rhymes lol

  • Ernst Stavro Blofeld as a Psychiatrist!! Weird!!!

  • @CharlesVariations Yeah the horror genre lost an icon when Pleasance passed away. He was phenomenal in Prince of Darkness. If you haven't seen that yet I would highly recommend that you do. It's my favorite Carpenter movie.

  • scream

  • ..and The Ring....?

  • Also, people ...the other great horror intros are The Omen(70's), Susperia....,

  • This theme is as menacing as "Tubular Bells", the theme for "The Exorcist"...

  • Halloween 1&2 is the best. Robzombies sucks!

TBH i like H20 too, it should of ended at H20, but then they came up with the shit that Laury Strode had decapacitaded a police and not Micheal

  • Man- Come on, I've been trick-or-treated to death tonight!

Dr. Loomis- You don't know what death is!

*runs away, pauses to look at house, continues to run away*

  • This is the best one by far. Best music and best mask. It is a different mask than the rest. They made it more dirty than the first. The music is the best of any horror movie ever. After 4 they are all a bunch of garbage kiddies. Rick Rosenthal is a great director.

  • You dont know what death is...que intro. Pefect

  • @BlackChriztmaz Yes great line, but another one is this...Harold, do you want mayonnaise on your sandwich...how about mustard....are you asleep again????..classic lines in classic movie:):)

  • @TheWetguy1973 were yu being seroius?

  • @ReplayMediaCatcher AHHHH NO!!! I should have added LOL at the end because that was what I was doing:):)

  • @TheWetguy1973 what lines do you like then? I fell in love with almost every one.

  • @ReplayMediaCatcher I have all the original Halloween movies on DVD. I like certain ones more than others. 1,2 and H20 are among my favorites. Just because I was laughing does not mean I did not like the scene. Those lines just tickled my funny bone so to speak...)

  • @TheWetguy1973 what tickled my funny bone is busta rymes in Halloween R tryin to act all cool

  • @ReplayMediaCatcher You are right about that...) I forgot to mention Halloween R...that is also one of my favorites. I read where Jamie wanted out of doing Halloween movies and I believe that is why her character was killed at the beginning..I could be wrong though. She is doing quite well with those Activa commercials...)

  • @TheWetguy1973 is that young Jamie or grown up jamie?

  • @ReplayMediaCatcher Young Jamie in 1 and 2...grown up Jamie in H20 and Halloween R....very grown up Jamie in Activa commercials:):)

  • Comment removed

  • @ReplayMediaCatcher No No, Jamie Lee Curtis....She is the actress that played Laurie Stroud in 1 and 2. I believe she has a different character name in H20 and Halloween R. I know who you are talking about in 4, 5 and 6..the little girl. I believe she is related to Laurie Stroud in some way. I will have to go back and watch 4, 5, and 6, as I have not watched them in awhile....)

  • Comment removed

  • @TheWetguy1973 yeah, why would "Jamie" keep a son close to her (jon in H20) and not have her suposed duagther "Jamie" ther with her. And even if they were seperate, whilst laurie (or Keri now) was relocated, why would the little girl (Jamie) be living so close to Haddonfield anyway?

(I understand if your a little confused)

  • @ReplayMediaCatcher You are right...4,5, and 6 get a little confusing. I think in H20 and Halloween R they wanted to bring the timeline up 20 years from 1978 when 1 and 2 took place. I do not believe John Carpenter had anything to do with those two.I do not care for the updated versions though. Too bad Donald Pleasence{Dr. Loomis} died a number of years ago. The franchise might have been different....)

  • @TheWetguy1973 H20 discards the existance of 4,5 and 6. Its a str8 sequel 2 this. JC n Jamie wanted to make a 20 year halloween annerversairy movie so H20 was JC's idea, not sure whos ieda it was to include LL cool j tho. Halloween R is rick rosenthals work who also directed this. I dont think it would have been any diffrent if Donald was with us, he cudnt make 4,5 and 6 work. And H20 and Halloween R wernt half bad tho they didnt have him in it. RIP to him.

  • @ReplayMediaCatcher Thanks for the update..I know H20 discards the existance of 4, 5 and 6. And you are right Donald could not make 4, 5 and 6 work. Also thanks for the update on JC and RR on H20 and Halloween R. I do like H20 and Halloween R but the more recent ones I do not care for. I was in and electronics store today with a friend and I saw the updated versions in the DVD section. I did not buy them..no desire to add them to my collection and yes RIP Donald.

  • @TheWetguy1973 No prob. Donald was good, his raging about micheal was a key part of the 1st and 2nd films but in the others, the magic just want ther. Rob Zombie did it in his own vision, but made it look like any other horror movie, I kinda like his score for micheals theme tho. There on youtube so you can watch both of them but be prepared to see a very diffrent turn of events.

  • @ReplayMediaCatcher You are right..Donald was good in 1 and 2 and the magic was not there in 4, 5 and 6. There was a gap of X number of years between 2 and 4. They made 3 which has nothing to do with the series and then 4 came out mid 80's I think. That might be the reason the magic was not there, plus Jamie Lee was not in them. I have watched portions of the updated versions on You Tube and listened to the score..it is different.. I just do not care for it....)

  • @TheWetguy1973 The x number of years between Halloween 2 and 4 is 7 years. But in Halloween R, we're to belive micheal has been living in his basment for the past 20 years. So after halloween II until Halloween 4, I wonder wat he did all by himself? H3 actully isnt half bad, the idea is they wanted a diffrent story on every halloween. The magic wasnt there coz it wasnt directed by JC. I can understand you hate for the updated versions tho. Did you check the score for when Micheal kills judith?

  • @ReplayMediaCatcher I wondered about Michael in his basement considering 4, 5 and 6. But H20 skips all that...) I have H3 and you are right it is not half bad and yes JC did not direct it.. I do not hate the updated versions. I just do not care for them compared to the originals and really do not want them in my DVD collection. But I do not hate them. For me to hate a movie or a score it really has to be bad and I do not consider them bad, I just do not care for them.

  • @TheWetguy1973 wait JC didnt direct H3, I thought the having a diffrent story on every halloween was his idea? How the hell did the movie get made then? Same here with the updated versions, dont hate them but dont care. That my be a intresting topic, what movies do you hate the most?

  • @ReplayMediaCatcher I do not know how H3 got made..I think it came out in 1983..i will have to watch it again:-) There are two movies that i love and these are not H movies that I thought the remakes were awful..not hate but aweful.. Psycho and The Manchurian Canidate..both were before my time..but classic and they slaughtered them..you cannot remake a Hitchcock movie and do it justice and a movie that Sinatra had any thing to do with...well...you asked :-)

  • @TheWetguy1973

Psycho and The Manchurian Canidate remakes are bot awful, the scores and everything?

  • @ReplayMediaCatcher You are correct..Angela Landsbury who played the mother in the original Manchurian Candidate did not want the movie remade. have you ever seen it..it is chilling..it was removed from circulation as many people at that time believed it fpr showed the Kennedy Assassination and Sinatra was very close to Jack Kennedy....)

  • @TheWetguy1973 what about halloween 5? That film has no centimate of watchability whatsoever

  • @ReplayMediaCatcher I have not watched 4,5 and 6 in awhile. I watched 1 and 2 right before Halloween and I am going to watch H20 and Halloween R again soon. I will agree with you on 5, but it has been awhile. Out of those three that might have been the one that was the worst..it has been awhile...sorry:(:(

  • @TheWetguy1973 yeah thats the best, combining 1&2 into a halloween supermovie on halloween. Advice, dont watch 5. 4 and 6 have a few well said lines and spooky themes that almost make it worth watching, but only just

  • @ReplayMediaCatcher Ok, I will not rush to watch them:):) What do you think of the line..You do not know what death is....and....I shot him six times.......)

  • @TheWetguy1973 As long as its siad by Donald, its superb. He could insult me and I would still applaud him. the line You do not know what death is is why we started talking in the first place, so epic with the start of the music, makes you think "put your seatbelts on, here we go". the line shot him six times, you can rele hear the sincerty in his voice but points taken off as its incorrect, you hear 7 shots at the beggining.

  • @ReplayMediaCatcher Now I am going to have to watch H2 again and count the shots...) Donald had some great lines, especially in H1 and H2. A side note..Jamie Lee Curtis turns 52 today. She was 20 when she made H1. It is hard to believe it has been 32 years since H1 came out..She still looks great for 52 years old. I guess eating Activa is not hurting her:):)

  • @TheWetguy1973 Just watch part 1 in related vidz. Donald, every line was priceless, such an epic actor. Wow, how old was she when she made ressurection?

  • @ReplayMediaCatcher Halloween R came out in 2002 so she would have been 43 going on 44 since her birthday is Nov. 22, 1958. I do have a question about H2...did Jimmy..Lance Guest character die in H2. He slips on blood and then you see him pass out or die in the car falling foward onto the steering wheel. I have wondered about that for years as you never see him again??? any thoughts...)

  • @TheWetguy1973 Well in the theatrical version, you never see him again but in the TV version, he appears at the end. I uploaded the TV version, didnt u see it when you went on my channel?

  • @TheWetguy1973 Well I have thought on that myself.I think he just passed out again. Two things make me think this.I've heard that there is another ending to Halloween II.When they drive Laurie away at the end in the ambulance a body covered up by a sheet suddenly sits up behind her.You think 'Michael' but the sheet falls off and you find out it's just Lance Guest's character waking up.Second in part four you meet Laurie's daughter who has dark black hair like Lance Guest.Maybe her dad?.

  • if you ask me 1 2 and 4 are the best ones i like 6 but not as much as them go original halloween !..!

  • I've always loved the slow zoom of the pumpkin in this intro.

  • as far as sequels go i thought this was pretty much the best you would get.but now i believe that john carpenters classic original has been tainted beyond repair as far as im concerned.there are that many sequels and remakes around nowadays it has become confusing as to which halloween film you are actually seeing.its a real shame to the talent of mr john carpenters original that money making seems to have overtaken the series.

  • I dig the hot tub scene in this one. This one lady shows her boobs and it made my penis go all crazy like...

  • This version of the theme tune is terrible.

  • @robertnorton1982 Terrible??

It's the greatest horror movie score ever.......go kill yourself please.

ROB ZOMBIES VERSION ARE PUKE GARBAGE LIKE SOME DUMBASS LIKE YOU.

  • @robertnorton1982 ARE YOU NUTS!? This is one of the BEST versions!!!

  • that song and that mask is what makes myers in the worst villian in cinema history!!!

  • @actuary33 um r u insulting the best horror movie ever why u watching it if you don't like it get a life stop jacking off on youtube

  • fvk rob zombie hell yeah fuckin carpenter

  • im in love with halloween!!!!!! and with those themes!

  • I couldn't agree more with the Zombie bashers. they were both HORRIBLE.

  • John Carpenter's Halloween was great too bad Rob Zombie came along years later and decided to rape Halloween. I mean honestly Halloween got worse and worse after the second one when Carpenter stopped writing but none of them were as bad as Zombie's Halloween's Except Maybe 3 and Resurrection which were all equally horrible. Halloween 4 was "ok" But Halloween should have ended at 2.

  • @SkyExplosion I actually think it was orginally supposed to stop at 2 but the crowd hated Halloween 3 cause they wanted Michael Myers so thats why they decided to continue with the series cause the people wanted Michael Myers but I agree the first Halloween and Halloween 2 the orginal one were the best of all

  • @PENS68 In an interview John Carpenter appeared in, he said it was supposed to stop after the first film. He had no desire to make a sequel, but he got pressured into writing it. He even stated that the whole reason Michael and Lourie are brother and sister is because "it was two O'clock in the morning, I had a six pack of beer, it was the only idea I could think of." But he does not think any of the sequels hurt the original, and I completely agree. I love 1 and 2 equally.

  • @PENS68 I agree, and you are right about the series, they were gonna have each Halloween be about some kind of different monster, ghoul, or haunting or creep, but they kept basing them on Michael Myers thankfully

  • @PENS68 After two, they planned on making a series of films with different Halloween themed plots. Audiences were disappointed with the lack of Michael Myers so they brought him back. He and Loomis died at the end of Halloween two.

  • @PENS68 Yep you are right.John Carpenter was planning on having a whole slew of Halloween movies one for each year and each with their own different storyline....each different from the last.Michael Myers was only supposed to be the story for the first two.But fans HATED movie three so much they had to bring him back LOL

  • @rtds9fan Only the fans that sucked COCK hated Halloween III. Carpenters TRUE fans loved it. Who wants these cunt fans anyways.

  • @SkyExplosion

actually halloween should have ended after the first one. which was carpenter's original plan until the money side took a hold of everything

  • The director if this flick was an absolute genius keeping the sequal right where it left off and making this flick really creepy. The music is absolutly stunning to say the least as well as the visuals. I tip my hat off to the people who made the opening scene in the credits. AWESOME!!!

  • Man, I totally agree! Best horror intro ever! I used to watch this when I was a kid on HBO - they'd show it all the time and it used to freak me out!

  • this is the best theme of them all. the way it echoes wen hes running away makes it soo eerie, then the viewer realizes, hes still out there, and hes coming...

  • i love the skull inside the pumpkin wish that was the cover of the lp and movie dvd

  • I will never forget that line from 'Donald Pleasence' .....

-You dont know what death is

    -I shot him 6 times

  • halloween & halloween II were made and they were just gunna leave it at that but then other directors started making the others and fucking up the halloween series altogether in my opion there only is halloween 1 , halloween 2 and halloween H20 the rest didnt exist

  • the music score done by Alan Howarth for Halloween 2 is much scarier then the first one done John Carpenter. The synthesizers used for this film gave it a much scarier sound

  • @Heyde1979, i agree. this version is the best

  • @badturkali Alan Howarth did a really good with the music score for this film

  • @Heyde1979, yeah, i like this halloween theme better than the original.

  • @badturkali the first one was not terrible but this one really takes the prize just the sound of the synthesizers alone make it scary

  • @Heyde1979, when dr.loomis says "you dont no what death is" and the halloween theme in the background, that just makes the whole movie

  • @badturkali that is a classic line you never forget.

  • you dont no what death is,

    (halloween theme in the background)

  • lol that was boring

  • original series is whole lot better than new series

  • @cyberdaniel77 Agreed Old School Halloween movies are better then the new school version of Rob Zombie's Halloween 1 and 2.

  • @adamdicy glad someone agrees with me. 95% my friends either hate these old movies or never heard of them. man, i wish they still made movies like these.

  • @cyberdaniel77

Totally Agree with You, they are the best in the History of horror Movies

  • I MISS DONALD! He was the man!

  • michael myers is the best killer

  • Alan Howarth definitely helped John Carpenter make the HALLOWEEN theme even scarier and more upgraded than the creepy music scoring that Carpenter did alone in the original 1978 version of HALLOWEEN I.

  • This HALLOWEEN 2 music scoring is even better and even creepier than the music scoring done from the introduction to the original 1978 version of HALLOWEEN 1, so this music variation theme is definitley more upgraded than the one used in the original not that the music scoring in HALLOWEEN I wasn't impressive or creepy, because they both definetley were creepy sounding.

  • Donald Pleasance is probably rollin over in his grave because of what Rob Zombie has done to the Halloween franchise RIP Donald Pleasance he fit the character of Sam Loomis I he owned

  • I've got a feeling you're right about that. I've not seen either Rob Zombie versions but I'm certain they suck moosecock. Modren-day movie-makers like Michael Bay and Rob Zombie have an incredible ability for ruining classic horror films.

  • @dzanier I didnt see the first rob zombie film but I saw the second one and it was terrible

  • @PENS68 dont watch he first one its the lamest thang youll ever see. cursing all over the place people fighting that aint even how the original halloween was thumbs down on the crappy azz rob zombie production

  • michael bay blows cocks but rob zombie is cool

  • No one can replace him!

  • i love halloween

  • this is the best HORROR MUSIC ever i will never sit in a dark and listen to this..

  • yeah its creepy, i love this movie though, best horror film of all time

  • the first halloween was good

but i hated the second one

  • the start of the music is blatantly the introduction to mamma mia by abba

  • Halloween is in 5/4 which always ends on the 5th. mamma mia has the same effect I know. but if you look at the copyright dates of when the first halloween came out. and when abba and carpenter first took the pen out and penned this, abbas song and carpenters halloween. I cant tell if carpenter got an idea from abba which is what your saying. but carpenter in this case coined something that stuck and scared the hell out of a lot of people. with nearly 10 movies in the Halloween name.

  • Makes me want to have a bite to drink.....

  • CREEPY AS HELL!!

  • This is creatively the best that came out in its time. Its not as scary as saw or stuff like that. Psycho is the mother of all scary movies. I need to see H2 (zombie) to see where he took Meyers.

  • He took myers right down the toilet.

  • halloween theme music is the best horror song ever created. just creepy and memorable

  • okej....retardet intro-.- sorry but this is to stupid to see.

  • What a stupid video

  • Halloween and Halloween II - that's all

  • @phantomlord54 all the movies are great i take that back besides zombies pieces of crap it just sucks that there are two story lines Halloween 1,2,H20, Ressurection, or Halloween 1,2,4,5,6

  • Sorry, but I have to say that this opening theme never have me the creeps just as much as in the first one. Sorry, but thats what I think...

  • Esa parte de la calabaza, cuando se abre es magistral, yo creo que nadie imaginaba que adentro habia una calavera.

  • SO classic. Classic Intro. Classic film. The first two Halloween films are hands down C L A S S I C s

  • this is a classic and the best intro to a horror movie ever created. and i still get nightmares when i see this intro.

  • "You Don't Know What Death Is!" Thats All that needs to be said.

  • i made a kid wet his pants once xD

i had a michael myers mask an a dark blue jumpsuit that i used and it was on halloween eve at my old school where we first saw the film before we where going trick or treat.. while they watched the intro i putted on my costume and one kid came running and bumped into me in this dark room.. he just starred at me while he peed himself xD

sorry for bad english.. i'm norwegian

  • You're Norwegian? I love your country's horror flick Cold Prey! Awesome slasher that homages the old school horror from the 80's and 70's!

  • I mean, it is good intro! But too good... that is why I got nightmares... DAMN! I still hear it while writing this... fuck me.

    More nightmares...

  • Rob Zombie's Halloween's suck John Carpenter owns

  • @PENS68 theres a difference john made it suspenful which is awesome an rob made it like in this generation an halloween is my favorite horror movie ill admit the original halloween is better juss cuse u cant beat the originals but i liked robs remake too

  • @PENS68 well you know what they say about oppinions? their like assholes everybody has one! i liked them both but original is the best and for your info john carpenter like it and gave the ok for rob to make it so ha!

  • @PENS68 True dat

  • THIS IS HOW U START A HORROR MOVIE!!!!!

  • thats how the halloween remake should've started

  • Halloween Theme goes Techno...

  • I know! I saw this the first time and im like... uh, techno remix?

  • This intro is my best intro of all halloween series!!! Halloween 2 1981 much better than the H2 2009 The clasic its just epic!!!!

  • I got nightmares after I heard the intro! ShiiiiITTTTTT!!!! MY ASS!!!!!!!

Oh look.... a ghost..... and a zombie... and a reanimated kille..eeerrr??? AAAGH! I'm outta here!

  • Just the song alone is sweeeeeeeeeeet as asssssssssss Donald pleasance is da man and he makes this movie....

    Great Intro!!!!

  • Greatest movie intro in the world.

  • This is epic

  • halloween 2 is probbably my 3rd fav in the series. really good movie. highly reccomend it

  • This is the best theme

    And scary as hell

This is my favorite horror film !

  • yup agreed,its the shit..............

  • We need this on Blu Ray NOW!!

  • No, Halloween 1 has the best theme.

    The original one, not this...

  • Halloween 2 has the best theme

  • hollywoodmkx imade a mistake and gave you a down enstead of up sorry

  • I love this movie

  • Good luck Rob Zombie trying to beat this intro and film:

    You have NO shot whatsoever.

  • i love all the movies before the 3rd i also love the remake but this is a great intro. i cant wait for rob zombies version!

  • I would have loved the third movie if they only marketed it as Season of the witch not Halloween 3 Season of the witch

  • i know how you feel. i saw this, the first and third all in one halloween night and i was dissapointed with season of the witch. and i was only 4 and i was dissapointed.

  • You watched these at age 4? What did you see at age 3? Cannibal Holocaust? Age 2? I Spit On Your Grave? Geez.

  • at 3 i saw jaws. worst. idea. EVER.

  • That is so awesome. Not only the music, but the slow ,eerie opening of the lit up pumpkin to reveal that skull inside...so simple, and yet so genius! And Rob Zombie is nothing compared to Halloween 1 and 2.

  • NOTHING compares to the original Halloween. In the Unholy Trinity of Horror (composed of Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees, and Freddy Krueger), Michael is known as the Father, because he came first. He started it all, set the standard for all who would follow after him. Michael Myers was the archetype for the 80s slasher--all tried to escape from under the huge shadow this Shape cast, and no one could. Not even this watered-down reimagining by Zombie. In slasherdom? Michael. Is. God.

  • I agreed man. I want them finished the series of Halloween instead of this bullshit remakes by douche bag Rob Zombie. The series were never completed. Stephen Lyod and John Tate.

  • I agree, actually when John Carpenter wrote this plot he wanted this film to be the last.

  • I know but hell the series isnt finished.

  • John Carpenter > Rob Zombie

  • Os dois primeiros filmes são os melhores de todos da série, viva a michael Myers!!!!!

  • nobody can top a movie thought up by john carpenter except for john carpenter
