Same thing happened to my lifted wj when I hit a telephone pole going 30mph sideways;) I am looking forward to building up another wj though. that thing was my baby, and you got me wantin mine back superbad.
Have a lifted 04 WJ and the same thing happend to me first time i took it out. Jacked it up with the HI-lift and poped her back in. 15 dollar spring retainers and it wont happen again
wow never seen a sping come out under compression only from being pulled out from drop. There was something wrong with how it was held in. Good thing it did it when you where going slow and no one got hurt. Like the WJ dont see to many built.
@rockcrawlerfin im guessing that when the side of the axle dropped the spring prob already almost fell out, and it seated back on the wrong way before i came back down, and it popped out when pressure was applied.
