I always thought Sergio Mendes & Brasil 66's was THE version. This is fabulous, fantastic arrangement, too. No matter what she sung, her voice is always a delight to hear. Indeed, what a talent.

A lot of good info on Doris and beautiful photo's. I used to belong to the forum associated with the website. There used to be quite a number of photo's I've collected posted. Don't know if they're still there. Its definitely a fun place to get lost in !!

Toni: I particularly loved the video on this one. I don't know if you did it intentionally or not, but the pictures almost unfolded in chronological order so that you see Doris growing older, yet remaining breathtakingly beautiful over the years. Her beauty never diminished and, as this song proves, neither has her talent. Good job on the pics.Any idea what year this was recorded?

@Dday21Mom I need to add the notes ... it was recorded on May 5, 1961. Yes .. I did put the pictures in chronological order... somewhat .. they weren't all just in the right order. She was definitely beautiful at any age .. and still is I'm sure !! I 'm really happy you enjoyed ... thank you !! =)

This is one of those tunes that, whether it's played as an upbeat jazzy version like I have heard Maynard Ferguson play or laid back like this one, is great either way. Doris Day had a great voice and knew how to deliver this song!

I grew up listening to Doris Day, my parents were big fans. I fell in love with her when I first saw Doris singing "Secret Love" in the movie "Calamity Jane." She was my secret love for years, that is, until Kim Novak came along in the movie "Picnic." Teenagers can be so fickle!!! But when it comes to female singers, Doris is still one of my

favourites.

Doris is so multi-talented - sing, dance, drama, comedy, movies, tv, records, radio, big bands- and then she look at her work for animals ! WOW - what a lady !

I started listening to her records when I was about 10 - and I think I wanted to be like her. I think lots of young girls did !!

She is one of the best singers - especially ballads.

Yes - dear Marty did leave her with nothing. I guess it's never been proven he knew and was a party to the swindle - but I find it hard to believe he didn't know what was going on. But - as Doris always does - she bounced back and has had a wonderful life in Carmel working for animal rights. I guess she's lucky Marty signed her for the tv show - she made back some of her money !
