Well supposedly this one takes place in 20 different locations so it's not one big map like Symphony of the Night or Super Metroid ... maybe in that way it'll be closer to Castlevania III for the NES.

This game looks great! Although the HP bar looks crappy, and that kind of cheapens the effect of the otherwise awesome graphics.
And I'm really glad to see this art style. I was always a big fan of Castlevania's art until they switched to that generic anime style they used for DoS and PoR.

You are obviously not a long time follower if you find the psp games good. Animations are far enferior to those in 2D, though it might just be a trait from being on the psp.

it just wuld, i dont want to hang on the roof of the bosses room and jump around from place to place, also how will it be fun attaking a monster when your hanging off somthing. also the boss rooms look kinda small.

Yeah, and speaking of female protagonists, what about one of the flagship game series on, ironically enough, the NES, namely one Samus Aran? I think that speaks more than enough for female protagonists right there by itself, people.
Shanoa is just her codename. Since she's a magic user she might be related to Sypha Belnades, Charlotte Aulin and Yoko Belnades. The Belnades are a line of witches who through the history of the series supported the Belmont family. Or she might even be a Belmont since she's strong enough to take on Dracula on her own. Which would make her the first female Belmont, since the producers scrapped Sonia Belmont who originally was the first one to kill Dracula before Lament of Innoscense was released.
The belmonts have dissappeared during this game, and she isn't a belmont. I believe it was Simon belmont or another one that dissappeared, and instead, The Order of Ecclasia was formed to take on Dracula.
Also notice how she isn't using Whips, and uses special spells called glyphs, while belmonts use normal spells.
Also, I'm not sure Shanoa is her code name.
It may be her actual name.
Though, her being an Aulin or Belnade would make much sense actually; and still I know she isn't.
I will buy this, I must have it 'cause its freaking Castlevania. I can't wait to play this, but her hair is brown in the game that kinda sucks but I'll still buy it no matter what.
This game looks awesome, and I like the elegance of Shanoa. But how could it be that Shanoa spends MP when she uses a basic weapon like a sword? You are obviously not a long time follower if you find the psp games good. Animations are far enferior to those in 2D, though it might just be a trait from being on the psp.

Este Castlevania tiene que estar increible.
- El estilo del Artwork es acertado, de hecho me recuerdan mucho a las de Ayami Kojima, en especial, por los ojos.
- Shanoa, una chica como protagonista ^^. Me encanta.
- Parece que no alternarás con otro personaje como ocurria con el PoR. Cosa que me alegro. Pues el protagonismo y poder recaerá solo sobre Shanoa. No estará compartido...
PD: Alucard es el mejor, ojala lo pongan como extra, como en el DoS. xD

i hope that spear rope thing on 1:17 isnt their version of the High Jump, they show her using that alot like in 1:49 and 2:13. i hope thats not a big part in the game cuss that will make the Boss fights boring.

it just wuld, i dont want to hang on the roof of the bosses room and jump around from place to place, also how will it be fun attaking a monster when your hanging off somthing. also the boss rooms look kinda small.

Shanoa is just her codename. Since she's a magic user she might be related to Sypha Belnades, Charlotte Aulin and Yoko Belnades. The Belnades are a line of witches who through the history of the series supported the Belmont family. Or she might even be a Belmont since she's strong enough to take on Dracula on her own. Which would make her the first female Belmont, since the producers scrapped Sonia Belmont who originally was the first one to kill Dracula before Lament of Innoscense was released.

The belmonts have dissappeared during this game, and she isn't a belmont. I believe it was Simon belmont or another one that dissappeared, and instead, The Order of Ecclasia was formed to take on Dracula.
Also notice how she isn't using Whips, and uses special spells called glyphs, while belmonts use normal spells.
Also, I'm not sure Shanoa is her code name.
It may be her actual name.
Though, her being an Aulin or Belnade would make much sense actually; and still I know she isn't.

This game looks awesome, and I like the elegance of Shanoa. But how could it be that Shanoa spends MP when she uses a basic weapon like a sword? It's like the sisters mode from POR: after she attacks, her MP meters fills up really quickly! Strange! But I'm buying this game for sure! Castlevania FTW!

I've never played Metroid because it's futuristic, and I don't like that kind of games. But I know that it's an excellent game anyway.

About Halflife: It's just a generic shooter. What's so special about it? Want something original and good? Play Riviera or Etrian Odissey. That's what true gamers want to play.
