  • I agree with ladyyuna2000

  • That's right bwset69, and the rest of the country has not figured i out yet. This US government did everything they could to put Toyota down, at almost the same time that Toyota had just taken over the number#1 spot in the USA and worldwide. Most of the government officials have or had investments into GM, Ford or Chrysler. So it is no surprise to many of us why they chose to pick on Toyota. And now the same thing is kinda happening to Honda. Oh well here we go,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

  • @Fussinated oh shoes u font know how to spell floor..want mercury I can rub it on your testicales with bare hands free

  • @moneshmahtani are you fucked in the head?

  • I laugh when I eat mercury and my piss is green

  • Isn't this a hatchback?

  • I wish the sedan copied this stying.

  • Been driving a 2008 Corolla 1.8L base model overseas regularly doing 180kph plus in it. It's a fun cheap car to drive, I think I'd like the Matrix when I get back to the states.

  • 0:55 is incorrect. If you have music on, which most people do, the volume adjusts to the sound of the engine and the wind. I own the 2009 Matrix S.

  • I have the AWD model, it's been great except the fuel economy is almost 50% more than it said in the brochure. I went to the dealership and they it's my driving habit, blah blah blah, but I couldn't get to the posted mileage no matter how slow or careful I drive the Matrix, anyone has the same issue as me ?

  • Wasn't to into the car and didn't like it until i actually got in the car and totally checked it out in person. Surprised me, was comfortable and had room like i wanted. Was actually surprised i liked it more then a used BMW suv i was looking at.

  • This car=Bucket of shit

  • @kingfarticus You mean GM's products?

  • @megazythr

Um, no, I mean this car...

  • I still prefer my older Matrix model -looks cooler

  • i am pretty sure this engine uses a timing chain which doesnt need to be changed.

  • @SuckMyCockEMI you are correct

  • @SuckMyCockEMI this along with the Corolla's dont use the timing belt since the previous styling came out :D

  • In Canada we go by kilometers and they recommend changing the belts every 80000 km so doing it 20,000km early doesn't really matter.

  • I own a 2005 model in dark blue and it's a great utility vehicle. It's great on gas, hast lots of room and never had any problems. I wouldn't buy a new model right now because they have accelerator problems, and the new gay electric steering is also causing wondering. Also if you own an import make sure the timing belt is serviced regularly. I change mine every 60,000km. It's the most important part of an import.

  • @leadnsteel If you change your timing belt every 37,282.36 miles then you are wasting your money.

  • @iuno i guess $25 to $30...im from new jersey and jersey is one of the cheapest gas prices in our country (US). What trim of matrix do you have?

  • I have a Toyota Matrix S 2010 I have no problems at all and it's almost a 10k on the odo and my car is not yet a year old(approx. 8monthsd old)..I guess the Toyota problem is a 'conspiracy' so that all the american cars can take advantage of Toyota..But still Toyota is still NUMBER 1 inspite of all the problems...."There's always a light at the end of the tunnel".... ;-)

  • @bwset69 hey i like to ask how much is a full gas tank for you? like on avg?

  • My es350 wasn't defected. But I got software updates from toyota 3 months ago, And a new floormat.

  • The shift lever should be on the flour.

  • my friend put rice-out after market parts but it still a soccer mom car

  • @xobile You sound like that fkn d1ckweed car dealer dirtbag who didnt believe her, truth is she wasnt the first person to have that problem, but not too worry, after he talked too our lawyer she got a full refund of her down payment, and heres the really funny part, gift certificates too outback streakhouse. like a free dinner makes up for almost havin a wreck and possibly being hurt of killed

  • my mother bought a 2010 corolla and it would out of the blue change lanes by itself, they said there was nothing wrong then after several returns they admited it was an electric steering defect and didnt know how too fix yet, needless to say that car is gone now and we will never buy a toyota again!!!

  • @meattube4u33 ... sure.. next time you make something up, make sure it is believable. Also tell your mother that she needs to keep her hands on the steering wheel at all times. Driving a car is not a time to put on makeup or read a book!

  • My brother has a 2007 Toyota Camry LE and it have no problem.

  • my dads car

  • cantrells3 - your ok on the 2000 celica gts, its not on the recall list, It should have a cable operated throttle not the fly by wire, most recalled were 2005-2010 , here is a partial list of recalled models not including lexus : • 2009-2010 RAV4,

    • 2009-2010 Corolla,

    • 2009-2010 Matrix,

    • 2005-2010 Avalon,

    • 2007-2010 Camry,

    • 2010 Highlander,

    • 2007-2010 Tundra,

    • 2008-2010 Sequoia

  • @meattube4u33 nothing is wrong with Toyota it's the people who cant fucking driving is the problem.

  • @ladyyuna2000 lol agree

  • @ladyyuna2000 There are people who can drive a Toyota and people who just complain about driving a Toyota because they can't.

  • I'm not sure if my car is out of the date range for the problems but I have a Celica gts 2000 that has had no problems at all and i've got just under 150,000 miles.

  • why is AWD only available in s and not xrs?

  • why is it called a wagon when it's clearly a hatchback?

  • hactchbacks have little or no space behind the rear seats wagons do

  • @LiIViet I can agree with your comment to some extent. The BMW Mini is a perfect example. However, here in europe, we have string of cars that are considered to be hatchbacks and yet have spacious a cargo area. The Matrix, which is sold as the Auris, is just that. wagons are in a different realm.

  • It's a bit of both. It's got an identity crisis

  • I'm not loving the front of the matrix

  • ya... this is the newer virsion i like older one more... my mom has it its really nice to drive!

  • i start drivers ed in september.

we got one of the origional boxy boxy xB's and a matrix.

  • Subaru Impreza i premium for the win.

  • I rented a Corolla couple weeks ago, and I don't understand why the Corolla is so quiet on the highway and refined, but the Matrix, which shares the same platform seems rough on road surfaces and it's very noisy on the highway as well.

  • actually toyota builds the vibe for pontiac, look under the hood of a vibe and find a toyota engine

  • actually toyota developed matrix and since toyota and pontiac have a contract so pontiac has the toyota motor in it lol

  • Best car in it's class

  • The class must suck bad.

  • OR you can get a subaru impreza hatchback with AWD standard and a minimum of 170 hp, for about 17,500, and both the toyota and the subaru are just as reliable. but the subaru also has a lower center of gravity making it less top heavy.

I would go for the Subaru

  • The Matrix stinks if its not awd - go for the subaru , I own a 2004 Legacy GT and I love it

  • My broken down is aweful in the snow. The worst car I ever had. protohellenic is correct.

  • Sounds like they liked it more than the new 2009 Venza

  • It's true, highway noise is the only issue I have with the 09 Matrix. Otherwise a great vehicle all around.
