  • omg she is soooooooooo cute!!!!!!!!!! when she gets older, she's going to be very popular just because of her looks >.> we live in a very superficial society

  • your daughter was like my 2 1/2 year old only he is not verbal yet:) I cried and smiled when her face lit up when she was saying "mommy" I could see the twinkle in her eyes, you can tell she loves you very much. You are doing a great job helping her learn:)

  • both my daughters kids a girl an boy have autisim the boy talks better but the girl lol talks just a little better then your daughter an lmao can find anything an everything to get into

  • You are doing a great job. I love how you make her ask for things instead of just giving them to her; communication is the key. We have a girl who is delayed (and who has been seeing a SLP) and we do all the same things. It's obvious she has improved since she was two. Keep up the good work and keep her talking!

  • @moodypete I totally agree. she is doing wonderful. I'm a respite care provider and and I work with autistic children. You always should keep them engage in verbal communication

  • Beautiful little angel. She is lucky to have such a dedicated mummy. I wish you and your family all the best, from a mum with a son with autism. x

  • @Nicolap14 Thanks I wanna get a good video of her how she's progressed since then as shes 9.

  • @karenIH I would be very interested to see that, my son is not as sever, his language and communication is quite good, but it's always nice to know they can progress. Thank you for sharing. x

  • @Nicolap14 Sorry it took a bit been busy knitting blankets I'll try and get something up maybe during christmas I just have to see if that's going to be okay with other family

  • @karenIH Hi, don't worry, I know how busy it gets round this time of year. I will look forward to seeing an update, if and when you post one. I wish you and your family a very merry Christmas, and all the best for the new year.

  • @Nicolap14 txs I appreciate it :B~D

  • hey, god bless your angel and you! are you sure she doesn't have a form of Angelman syndrome as well ?

  • @zarehara Ty I appreciate it. I don't feel she has Angelman.

  • She is such and angel. :)

  • shes so cute :D

  • I am a high functioning autistic and I remeber before I was able to talk. I said my first word at 3. You say you are autistic too. Were you also like Stephanie? To me people did not exist and I only repeated sounds to get food. I remember toast being held away from me with an accompying noise (toast was my favourite and still is lol). I used to get upset and scream because I wanted it. One day I copied the noise and I got it. The noise was my mum saying "toast".

  • @Irelenefer1988 I wasn't delayed verbally but had seen a therapist at 4 who thought somethings not quite right when I answered questions they were literal answers but she did not know what it was. I wish I had a working camera she's awesome. She still is severe but very wonderful and smart extremely smart

  • I did not even speak until I was 3, aside from some mumbling akin to a babies verbal skills. I like to say I made up for that quite a bit since then, I am 21 now and language ended up being one of my strongest points. Early childhood can be a bit of a momentary picture, and with lots of guidance and training people can get a growth spurt in their development. This spring I actually ordered medicine for my friend in French, since we were in Paris together and she got ill. Tough for most Dutch.

  • @Annique When did the "growth spurt" occur? Also, what "training" did you have? I have an autistic younger sister and want to help her.

  • She's gorgeous. And hey, at least it's soap :)

  • Cutie

  • She's so cute!! What a wonderful sensory experience that must have been. Kudos to you for letting her do that. You seem to REALLY love your daughter. She's a darling. My 5.5 year old with autism and I watched this together and talked about other kids with autism.

  • She want cookie

  • she behaves a lot like my little bro,in he way of having fun with funny things and the talking too =)

  • Beautiful!

  • In Stephanies defense, smearing soap on the floor does look pretty fun

  • @ponytailjones lol yeah smearing soap on the floor does look fun good way 2 clean the floor 2 heh heh heh She's been pretty good abt that this year mayb cuz we changed from foam soap back 2 regular soap altho there were times she got in2 the big bottle of soap & emptied it on the floor & slid around the floor it looked fun but she got 2 help clean it up lol

  • beatifull

  • i just relase, yesterday the me little daughter hav, autism and that think kill me .

  • @eliasversace i have autism the only thing that makes it hard is when she's sick & crying in pain &can't tell us whats hurting otherwise I fully accept autism & feel it's a great benefit my daughter feels accepted & loved which makes a big difference in her learning it's hard 2 accept a different lifestyle of learning but the big difference is her school is fully involved in helping her learn at her level while still being in her regular grade class which is grade 3 so take it in steps

  • absolutely cute little girl!!

  • This is an awesome video, karen...i think you are doing a great job with your girls..don't let the haters and negative ppl on here get you down!!!! Your little girl is gorgeous!!!! (((((((Hugs))))))) Melissa <3<3<3<3

  • @fmelissa169 Thank u Melissa that is sweet of u ***HUGS*** <3<3<3

  • That Video that I Just saw was like How I was except I saw my sister had something and I stood there and cried. My mum had to teach me how to speak. I should have done it a long time ago.

  • KarenIH, I'm here to back you up on that. My boy, now 7, is HFA. He exhibited multiple Autism symptoms before he was ever vaccinated. Sensitive to textures, sounds, light, cried inconsolably seemingly from no provocations, and once he could handle toys, he was spinning them, stacking them, arranging and rearranging them. Autistic from birth. People are always trying to dismiss/oversimplify my child's condition.

  • @ianwfirestone txs I know my daughter was delayed from birth she saw right thru things its as if she didnt c them when she did she only played with it if it was interactive light up musical toy the best toy ever was the worst toy ever by fisher price made learn thru music she dropped her toys well this toy couldnt handle being dropped even on a carpet it never played properly after it was dropped I bought tons of these returned them got new ones then they stopped selling the toy sigh 2 bad :--(

  • The vaccine theory was NOT debunked, what do you mean?

  • @filmerado

The original study was done in the 1990's and very poorly. The sample size for the study was only about 50 kids (it should have been much more), and poorly researched. The last decade or so has been disproving that theory, and by now, it only appears in very outdated parenting books. However, it doesn't stop parents from not vaccinating their children.

  • how's she doing now? My daughter did not talk until 5 although she was able to repeat word for word episodes of childrens' TV programs. She wouldn't listen to me in the least if I tried to work with her so I left that to the school. Fortunately and luckily for me and her she decided to come around on her own. Now she speaks normally and people don't know anything. I wish your daughter the same!

  • I have autism.it is very loud in that room where she is. She is starting to speak- but only frames. She hears more than the voice of the mother. Too much sounds in the room.

To the mother. Wait for her until she comes to you and kiss you. You have put her face into yours and kissed her. Is not good. May be for you and your will- but not for her. It is so horrible. She did not came on her own will as you called her to kiss you- or she was not fast enough for you. Please- don't do that.

  • my heart goes to you ..its so obvious you are a good mother and you love your daughter so much ..dont read the comments it not worth it people are idiots..look up "homeopathy for women" they have helped my autistic son soo much.. God bless you

  • they trouble with autsim is that are kids look just like normal kids so when where in public and they act out people just asume that there spolied or where abusing them when they dont want to come .

  • she said mommy! nice :D

  • well done :)

  • such a cute girl and loving mother. you touched me with this video. i wish your daughter a wonderful and happy life full of promis and joy as i wish for my 11 year old son who has asperger's. thank you for such a wonderful video.

  • i could see my son on that age. but he grew up well as preschooler. as early as 3 years old he knew all the alphabets and colors, even mastered alphabet in sign language even though he is not hearing impaired. now he is 5. he can write, read and count up to millions. his toys are word games. doesnt like toys just like typical kids do.

  • @CASSiExFEEMSTER I HOPE YOU LEARN TO KNOW WHAT AUTISM IS AND EDUCATE YOURSELF!!!! THATS NOT FAIR FOR YOU TO HATE ANOTHER HUMAN BEING JUST BECAUSE OF A DISABILATY JERKOFF!!!!

  • @morningangel88 txs I blocked the user & deleted the comments they just want attention they're not getting from me

Thank you for sticking up for my daughter that was very kind & thoughtful ***HUGS***

  • God bless you, from another mother of an autistic son.

  • ...Wow, you're silly. :) I volunteered at a day care and the one-two year olds used shaving cream/soap for their hands on play. It actually helps their gross motor skills.

It's fine with supervision, which this mother seems to have. :)

  • ur daughter is pretty!

  • @TheNightWriter101 guess you haven't been in a preschool in the last two decades. Shaving cream is as "normal" as play-doh you dolt.

  • Noonder the kids are so effed up then.

  • im afraid some of these comments are truful, i have a son with your daughters condition and hes like any normal boy on the street, seriously treat her like a "norml" person not some alien then she will learn some "normal" skills, autism is when a mind has no "built in" features like mobility, social skills ect, so you have to make them learn them manually which can take upto there teenage years like my son, start from the basics, treat her normally and she will see it as the norm...

  • stay strong momma.

  • Please dont listen to freaks on youtube, mu brothers autistic and I understand, what ever makes them happy!

  • it's no differant than fingerpainting.

  • She's really pretty.

  • Most potato chips are gluten free. GF/CF did nothing for my boys. It's a crap shoot for each kid. Clearing yeast and probiotics have helped a bit.

  • scottspeaksfnsucks You are such an idiot would you say that to there face or does you tube make you brave jerk

  • Yicks! Have you tried a gluten-free diet? Those chips may be making her worse!

  • mercury poisoning

  • @angus506 I dont believe the vaccine theory my daughter was born autistic & so was I

  • @karenIH and unless your 150 years old you would have gotten exposed to chemicals and vaccines as well, get with the program son

  • @angus506 ummm im a woman lol the vaccine theory was debunked anyways im not here 2 argue have a nice day :-D

  • @karenIH You were born autistic?

I'm very proud and glad that you're able to speak so fluently without difficulty now =] I'm glad you're leading a happy life with a very cute daughter. I like your video =]

  • @karenIH well actually the vaccine theory is true my friend maizee (12) has aspergers bc she didnt get the vaccines she needed but her older sister hayley(15) was vaccinated and she perfectly healthy..no harshness intended :)

  • have you heard of correcting autism with diet? There are many youtube videos that can help you and Stephanie!

  • I meant to give you a thumbs up and I clicked thumbs down instead! Sorry, yes most definitely this little girl would benefit from diet changes and Bio meds!!

  • @rookieru no prob mistakes happen my daughter doesnt like many foods one thing she does like is salad so we make that everyday 4 her.

  • She is so beautiful and so cute Respect for mom 2

  • homosexual

  • We often let the kids in our SDC class play with shaving cream on a table. It helps with sensory, OT, and is a fun treat for them!

  • @weezerlu That is a great idea, except for children who have "peta" issues, my child likes to lick bar soap especially Ivory...I tried it, it is very "sweet" not sure about shaving cream.

  • she is so beautiful!!! may god bless u and ur family!!! lots of love, another mommy of an autistic son:)

  • She is working so hard! How is she doing now? She reminds me a lot of my daughter... I speak to her the same way... :-) And she is always with the soap or lotions...lucky you have wood floors... try getting an entire bottle of laundry detergent out of the carpet ( oops! LoL)

  • looks like she needs a diet change Gluten/casein free, hence the dark circles under her eyes...very cute girl tho!

  • bles she is so cute ?

  • Cute little girl :) I have a autistic little brother. They are such cute and great people.

  • God bless this cute and beautiful little angel. I can see that "mommy" word made her want to smile.... she really loves you even tho she can`t say it.

  • get off her back! she's trying her best to raise her daughter the way she thinks is right ok i dont have kids... let alone an autistic child but different strokes for different folks people... there is no "one right way" to raise a child.

you can tell she obviously loves her daughter.

  • I can understand the mom is little annoying don't get me wrong I have almost 5 yrs old daughter she will be 5 mar 18th and she is autistic but i never talk to her like that and i never let her play with the soap because she will put it in her mouth.

  • What some people don't get is you have to keep these kids engaged they can slip away into their own worlds. Some of the methods look unconventional but each parent thru trial and error has to find their own way. Autism has nothing cookie cutter about it. My hair shampoo met with the toilet bowl many times because the pastel swirls look so pretty and hey whats better than a beach on the bathroom floor with water and oatmeal for sand. Rules can work thru a family value spectrum. Calm/Assertiveness

  • And teaching these children that it is OK to like the way that Soap Feels when it is squished around on wood is actually Promoting Self Confidence. Perhaps a set aside area so that it doesn't cause any falls is something you should look into.

Beautiful Little Girl and Nice Video thanks

  • My Daughter Dose the Same thing But more with Lotions than Soap, She has a fixation on lotion and has to put it on all the time and loves the way it feels. when She rubs it into the floor I re direct her to an area where she is allowed to "Experiment" And she has a small table she is allowed to do her work on.

What interests one person is not what is going to interest another.

  • is she in a diaper?

  • she is very cute but u r letting her do something that is unacceptable would u let any of ur other children rub soap on the floor i have a 5 yr autistic daughter but i teach her there r boundary's not always does she do it the right way but she does know and tries u seem like a great mom but she is learning to talk so be persistent on other behaviors to good luck and happy new year

  • is she in diapers???

  • She's a cute kid and better she's smearing soap than anything else. She's a good helper :-)

  • i have a special needs daughter and no the mom isnt annoying it sounds like what my daughters speech therapists do to try to get my daughter to verbalize, my daughter has 4 heart defects and cerebral palsy caused by a car wreck in 2005 i was 2 months pregnant with her and her real father died in it...the impact caused the heart malfunctions which closed off oxygen to her brain causing the cerebral palsy while she was still in my belly...hope shes doing good...bless you both.

  • she's so cute , i'm doin a research about autism and i find out that autistics are such a great kids ... they are just like angels :)... as we say in islam "alla yehfadha = may god keep her safe" :)

  • she is beautiful

it's so sad to see her in this condition but i think shes perfect =]

  • bit like your self! piece of shit numb nuts! shes beautiful well done keep up the good work with her she has come so far, please check out son rise program and never be ashamed of her xxxxxx

  • she was just palying with soap and then she ate a chip,,, that chip probably tasted kinda bitter...

that must be the reason why she's coughing.

  • wow mommy is a little annoying, i also hope it's just for the video

  • Another sad example of a child damaged by vaccines. I know other parents whose children have been damaged by vaccines and their world is 24/7 as caregivers. Chelation therapy may help and I hope the parents have filed her reaction w/VAERS (Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System). In 2007, $91 million was paid out for vaccine damage/death. Since '86, appx $2 billion has been compensated.

  • Sweet girl, but it's hard to watch this, it seems you are overding it a little bit, hopefully that is only for the video.

  • She's adorable I can feel frustration all through the video It felt like you where saying "please just aknolege me!" She dose love you though she just dosen't know how to show it and she's probably just as frustrated with a world she can't communicate with but don't give up on her cause she will get better.

  • I have a five-year-old autistic dd also. What is it about those lines in the hardwood floors that they like so much; my dd is the same way! She also likes bubbles and playing in the water.

  • she is so cute!

i don't think she is autistic.

  • aww so cute

  • What an adorable child. She will do great things!
