I've always kind of thought of Rolfe as a lesser version of Donovan. Touch, skill, vision, finishing, great football IQ and a good work rate. Not as fast for sure, which is partly why he's not quite as dangerous, but his technical and tactical quality is impressive.
We love Rolfe in Chicago. He has an amazingly quick shot and may have the best long distance shot in MLS. He scored 10 goals last year, but would have had 15-20 every season if it weren't for long injuries year after year. This year he is healthy and is on pace for 10, even though he has played right wing for all but 3 or 4 matches. Hey, at least I have a team to support in Denmark since my father's side is Danish. :)
Chris Rolfe most definitely doesn't suck. He has a problem with inconsistency, at times displaying confidence, creativity, and cleverness on the ball, and lackluster effort at others.
Dude, anybody who thinks Chris Rolfe "sucks" has NO CLUE what they are talking about. Notice, realness has been shut up for the last month as Rolfe has finally been up top and scoring some beauties once again.
I would agree that Rolfe is oft injured and Barrett scuffs many chances, but neither suck. They have each carried their team to many victories. Blanco's ability shadows theirs, but they have a greater upside...their young and in shape.
