What does the beginning of this movie have to do with anything else that happens after it? Did the Beast kill the girl that got out of the shower? Couldn't be because he didn't turn into the Beast until after the explosion..Also,what happened to the dead girl that the cops were carrying down from the cave? The hardest move to sit through(even with Mike and the bots)...
@quinteiro123 The best part of laser blast is that during the credits they mention Roger Ebert giving it 2 thumbs up. My friend's dad saw it in theater when it came out and recalled it being good, we showed him the MST3K version and thought it was hilarious. I agree it is really terrible.

This movie is stupefyingly awful. The dubbing of the characters voices so that the mouths aren't visible is truly mind-blowing. It was obviously intentionally shot this way and it's tough to believe that anybody thought it could work. Absolutely one of the three or four worst movies ever made. Nothing bothers some people, not even flying saucers. Don't you be playing with coyotes.
As I discovered from the Ballyhoo doc on this, they used 35mm to shoot this, and it really shows. For a hilariously terrible movie, that's a pristine picture, shockingly so. The print looks fantastic.
Call me bat-crazy, but I think this movie is underrated. Yes, the first 8 and a half minutes are confusing and/or astoundingly hilarious, but after that it's actually quite poignant. The only complaint I have is that it could have been edited a bit tighter. A 35-40 min movie would have sufficed with the material Francis had.
