i think italians give a f##K about the own country. stupid coward italians. you bring all those muslims to a catholic country. your culture will be dead soon ot later. you more muslims you take to italy. you more will italy be sharia islam country. and you italians will dont have any more freedom who are none muslims. kick those terrorist back the own muslims country. why do muslims not the own country
What's wrong with you people? All they want to do is pray for Goodness sake... May Allah bless that priest who allowed Muslims to pray in his church, he is rightly guided, insyaallah. May our Muslim brothers and sisters have patience and persevere, for that is what our Creator has told us to do. Insyaallah, there is a hikmah in all of this.
Don Aldo, if you asked muslims for a place to pray, and your wish was denied, you would not simply feel sad. You will have your head cut off. And you would deserve it, you stupid fool.
Associatori = (pagan, idolatri , cattolici)
La traduzione italiana e molto meno violenta della traduzione inglese per rendere il corano più popolare.
muslims can't create anything sustainable so they encroach on other civilizations that have stability...they mass multiply and need to flushed much like you would a cockroach infestation in your house. get the fuck out or suffer the consequences of your arrogance and typical muslim brazenness.
I'm not against any religion, cause i don't understand no one of them, but you gotta say that when muslims wanted to build their mosque in Rome, they wanted to build it TALLER than St. Peter just in front of it. It's obvious that people say no to that. Then, they allowed muslims to build their own religious place in Rome.
Rahman you are a stupid islamic pig!!!!!! You have a shitty mosque in Rome (which is one of the holy towns of Christians), but we can't build our Churches not just in your "holy" toilet of meccah and medina but also in the rest of the fucking islamic world!!!! Are you more ignorant or hypocrite???????
my friend you can build church anywhere accept saudi arabia because saudi is holy places for muslim , we muslim cant build mosque in the city of vatican because u see thats your holy place, RESPECT AND PEACE FOR ALL.
so this is religious freedom now? very sad, how people are so afraid of something they that is alien to them. and people that are afraid do stupid things.. :-(
uhm why they only talk about one side of this situation. As an example, in Rome they were allowed to have a Mosque. The problem started when they wanted to make it bigger and taller than St. Peter. Now i'm not Christian and i don't mind about St.Peter, but if you come here and are allowed to have your religious place, just respect the others.
yep this what happens when we let immigrants in our country, now remeber this you mmigrant fucks! you are a guess in our country and eventually you will have to pack your bags and go back to your shit hole country!!!!
atheist didn't kill anyone for not being atheist, that's a big difference while Christians had killed many people because they went against Christian normal doctrine ^^
However I don't justify stalin, mao and whoever, but they didn't kill anyone only because they were atheists
why are they so afraid of muslims. in usa, africa and asias' city it's okay for every religion to build their worship place. come on italians, prove your love. and what is it about peeing on a wall ?
well actually 3rd largest "religious" group, since those without religion total 7% of the population, that 3.5 times more non religious than muslims, i think more attention should be given to these people
hi my name is ali im a muslim we believe in jesus as a prophet like noah & Abraham & Moses if u want more information about islam please write back best thing in life is religion i hope u will fine the truth my message is any one want to know about islam
A beautiful report, thank you! I can see from the comments below that it is engendering some debate, too, which is good. It is time to bring these issues out into the open and discuss them in a rational way, not with name-calling and rudeness. Every point of view is worth listening to. It is time for everyone to acknowledge we live in a global community, and must learn to accept and get along with one another.
Although the people behind the western media are scheming and manipulative men i have to hand it to them they throw around some crappy propaganda about muslims and it gets swallowed up straight by the masses who come on forums believing themselves to be professors who have to save the world from the threat of islam when all they are doing is being pissed on by the media and the other powerful people who get the profits from the wars they got away with because everyone was afraid of islam
Good report. I lived in Italy half of my life. I lived in a city 1 hour drive from the city in this report. I must say that even though people in general are very nice and kind, they are very close minded when it comes to Islam. They are very biased. I think the main isue here is centuries of catholic church dominance and propaganda towards Islam. I'm hopeful that when the number of Muslims increase, things will change. italy still a beautiful place to live.
fear is a powerful thing its all it is they fear their country will be over run and that their lives would change.for immigrants the fear of being thrown out and sent back to a country where you cant live a normal life like your use too , losing all you gain or even your own life .i lived in the US for 9 years badly treated held on to a culture i had no physical attachment too, never felt like an american but since i left the US ,american is what others see me as
it just shows that you are were your raised not were you were born and that many people just looks too differentiate even when the differences are minor
What everyone in italy (and all over the world) is forgetting is the assimilating culture of the west. If you raise your kids in a western country chances are they will turn out to have western values. A little girl growing up in a country where women are free is not going to be happy fitting into traditional roles of her parents country.
Soon enough, the cathedrals will be converted into mosques, because many Italians are reverting to Islam. Then what? You're going to tell Italians they can't worship in their own monasteries in their own homeland?
Italy is desperately needing new immigrants to simply keep its economy afloat. Sooner or later, the immigrants will force a concession from the government. There may be some fighting and resistence from the nationalists, but in modern politics, number carrys more weight than tradition.
"national survival"? Italy's survival is depending on the immigrants; without them, the entire Italian government will collapse with the weight of retirement funding and utility bills.
The Italian government can demand that in return for better lives and better opportunities that the immigrants abandon their imperialistic, intolerant, racist, militaristic religion. It could demand that immigrants while in Rome do as the Romans do and not as Osama BinLaden does. The Italians could turn in their current government of corrupt traitors and place in its place a patriotic clean government which puts the nation first and actually protects the Italian people.
Are you stupid or something? Can you think of a way to stop people from doing something in their mind and at their home? Will the "your fantasy government" hires a guard for every immigrant and then hires another guard to guard the guard that you had sent to spy on people? You haven't thought this through yet, don't you?
There are immigrants in Saudi Arabia but Saudi Arabia bans the opening of churches. In fact, the Bible is illegal in Saudi Arabia as is the holding of Christian services of worship in private homes. But for some reason, Italy should (in your opinion) allow Saudi Arabia to finance the building of mosques in Italy and let Muslims spread their murderous faith in Italy. Are you stupid or something? You haven't thought this through yet, have you?
The difference is that there aren't millions of Christian immigrants coming to Saudi Arabia.
But then, your advice seems inline with what you say are the bad things about Islam (force people to convert, don't allow them freedom if they don't convert, branding difference as being "bad", being intolerant of intolerance).
In the end you're just another religious fundamentalist pehaps?
You are looking at one mulim country what about the other 50 in my country Qatar we built churches at he governments expense in Kuwait and the Uae same thing all for immigrants as we have no native christians in the gulf most other countries such as jordan iraq syria egypt turkey and the list goes on have their ownchristian minorities who have churches which christian immigrants or tourists would be free to pray in if you want to be a closed minded fool who believes propaganda fine dont blame
So it's legitimate for the Saudis to stifle religious freedom but not for the Italians. Why the double standard other than the fact that you're a Muslim supremacist? If I ran Italy, I wouldn't even allow Muslims to pray in the streets until the Saudis allowed churches to open in Arabia and allowed Christians to pray in Arabia too. The Saudis spend billions opening mosques in Christian nations but won't let churches open in Arabia. Let the Italian Muslims convert to Christianity.
It is up for the Saudis and for the Italians to decide. Saudi Arabia has little religious freedom, but also there are very few non-Muslims there, and most are guest workers, not immigrants. Again, if you're advocating that Italy become as religiously fundamentalistic as Saudi Arabia, then you completely miss the point why people think it's goes against Italian/European culture to oppose outsiders.
And the Italians are deciding to curb the growth of Islam in Italy. Perhaps they could rename the Muslim immigrants "guest workers" and then have them return to Libya or Morocco after their permits expire. That's what the Saudis do. Like the millions of "guest workers" in Arabia who have no rights, the Muslims in Italy could have their rights taken away from them. In the interests of justice and fairness, that is.
Do you know that everyday 174 people will be murdered each day around the globe? Why don't start killing someone now as more murders are done than the cases that can solve? What Saudi Arabia did is their issues, what Italians did is European issues. European should have shared fairness and equality values, otherwise, what's the point of an union?
European nations should do what they have to do to survive as nations. If it means they need to stop the building of mosques which end up as bomb factories, so be it. But Saudi Arabia which doesn't allow Christian churches to be built in Arabia should not be allowed to fund the building of mosques in Italy. That's common sense. You don't have a problem with common sense, do you?
I don't understand your comment, it seems to come from some pre-existing prejudice. This report is not about Saudi Arabia, is it? Is there proof that it is Saudi Arabia that is funding these mosques, or that they become "bomb factories" as you call them? This is - in spite of your rational tone - essentially an emotional argument from fear, ignorance and prejudice.
It is well known that Saudi Arabia funds the spread of the wahabi brand of Islam by funding the building of mosques world wide. Along with wahabi Islam comes militarism. Witness NineEleven and various terrorist attacks world wide. If the Saudis won't allow religious freedom in Arabia then they should not be allowed to practice religious freedom in any other country. If Italians should be free to explore Islam, then Arabians should be allowed to explore Christianity. That's common sense.
Ah yes! The typical "it is well known" comment, without citing any actual evidence. Proof that you are speaking from a place of bigotry, or at very least, ignorance and emotionalsim, rather than intellectual honesty. You do a very nice job of pretending to be an intellectual, but you are only ranting, as are many others on this thread. 9/11's connection to mosques in Italy? Zero. But it's a nice emotional button to push. I pity that you live in such fear. others.
Why is it OK with Muslim supremacists like yourself that Saudi Arabia forbids the construction of churches or holding Christian services or Bible Study? Isn't that intolerant, undemocratic, unfair and wrong? Why do you ask Italy to maintain policies that Saudi Arabia rejects?
So because I disagree with your logic (or lack thereof), I'm a Muslim Supremacist? Name-calling only reinforces the impression that you are in an uncontrolled and irrational emotional state, not THINKING! This report - and indeed this discussion - are not about Saudi Arabia (which seems to be your particular obsession), but in fact about ITALY. I personally feel that the Saudi leadership is a despicable and oppressive regime. Should Italy become one, too? That's the question.
The lack of religious freedom in Arabia isn't about the leadership of Arabia. It's about the Muslims of Arabia who are utterly intolerant of other faiths. When Italy bans the construction of mosques as they should, the Muslims can understand this is a product of their own intolerance. If Muslims want religious freedom, they need to give it too. If they want to build mosques and spread Islam, let Christians build churches and spread Christianity. Good for Italy!!
when you see profanity and intolerance in these comments (and in life) it always comes from pro-jesus and pro-violence crowd--home to the most ignorant and violent people, regardless of nationality.
Fear and ignorance leads to racism, and facism. Exactly as has been happening in the U.S., or 60 years ago in Germany, or in Israel. People don't even know their neighbors, yet they condemn them to be the devil, similarly to the witch hunts in the U.S., or the Inquisition.
How do you explain the Islamic rules imposed on tourists and foreigners in Muslim nations? How do you explain the attacks of other faith and atheist in Thailand, Iran, Yemen, Dafur, and Iraq by Muslim radicals?
yes, there are many churches ,zoroastian temples in middle east and christian are in large number in syria, lebanon, palestine, iran, etc.and they have lived in islamic countries harmonouisly.and so did jews.if muslims can integrate in italy.why cant italians integrate in moslem countries?our values?they flock to morrocco like sheep and disrespect the values.yet we cant have our values there?islamic growth scares these catholics.....just like therecrusader ancestors.unhospitable.ignorant.
The point is the Italian people don't want you there. The Italians are telling you they don't want Muslims moving into their homeland. What do the Muslims do? They keep coming in and having huge families even though they're not wanted. Then the Muslims complain about Jewish people coming into Muslim Palestine. What hypocrites!!!
Just 2 years ago some radical islamists were caught in northern Italy using a mosque to plot bombings! How do normal muslims expect to be trusted when they don't clean their back yard of the trash!!!?!?
I'm far right by ideology,Orthodox Christian by faith, and Aryan by race.I'm far right but not a fascist,Christian but not radical,Aryan but not racist.I support the Northern league not because they restrict muslims but because they stand their grounds!
So all places where anyone could plot terror should be banned, by your logic. Then it seems we'd have to ban every church, every government office, every apartment block and every house everwhere in the world.
The Vatican itself was used to plot terror campaigns on citizens of the world for thousands of years, so then it should be banned as well?
Now the Muslims know how the Israelis feel. You move into Italy, for example, where NOBODY WANTS YOU THERE. And all you want is to have a place to build a decent life. Maybe the Muslims will be more understanding of Israel now that they have the intolerance of Italy as an experience. Probably not though. Because Muslims are intolerant and believe they are superior to other groups.
Yes, unlike Jews and Italians who have shown that they are tolerant and acommodating. (sarcasm)
I think you're missing the point, though. In Italy the impact of immigrants has almost no impact on people's daily lives, it's just a tool the politicans use to scare people in order to get power.
However, Jewish settlement, terrorist aggression and violent expansion and expulsion of the natives MUST have some impact on people's perceptions of them. It's not all about pure intolerance.
The point is the Italians don't want you there just like the Palestinians did not want the Jewish immigrants there. The Palestinians very early on when there was just a small number of Jewish immigrants saw what was coming and were very early on raising the issue. The Italians are the same. They now are raising the issue. But you Muslim supremacists DON'T GIVE A SHIT. You're big hypocrites, aren't you? Of course you are.
Immigrants are needed in Italy to do all the crap jobs Italians don't wanna do. You think that over a milllion muslims all just snuck in illegally? At least some try to intergrate into society, how many Jews can speak Arabic? Were they forced to pray in parkings lots?
Israel was settled by militant Zionists, commiting acts of terror against the UK & using pity to help form their own fundamentalist state & using military aggression to occupy other territories.
You quite miss the point. The Italian indigenous population doesn't want you there. They forbid the building of mosques and force you to pray in the streets without prayer rugs. Get it? Because they know you'll use mosques as arms warehouses and bomb factories. OK? But you Muslim supremacists only care when Muslims are affected by immigration as in Israel.
The Italian population mostly doesn't care about it outside of the scare tactics power hungry politicans use.
You have any studies that show the vast majority of Italians oppose Muslims? And even those who say they oppose immigration will still want to hire cheap, immigrant labour so it's not logical.
If a terrorist cell in anywhere wanted to use a place to store weapons they wouldn't need to use a mosque, they could use any place.
The opposition to the mosque is just symbolic and political
Italian politicians work for anti Muslim laws because it gain them support from voters and more power. Because the Italians don't want Muslims moving to Italy any more than Palestinians want Jewish immigrants coming to Palestine. Many Palestinians have benefited from Jewish immigration including the Arab workers who build Jewish settlements on the West Bank. Does that mean that Palestinians support Jewish settlements on the West Bank? Of course not.
It works because anti-immigration is an easy solution to something that isn't a problem, that is a lot more noticable than a hard solution to a major problem.
Again, the big difference is that the Italian and other western governments support immigration because they need cheep labour. I doubt that the Palestine gov't (never been run by Palestinians) supported Jewish immigration for same reasons.
Indigenous peoples like the Italians love their homelands just as much as Palestinians love their homeland. And when outsiders come, they make big changes. They demand things. It's natural. So the natives don't like it--even if the outsiders are extra special people like Muslims who can do no wrong and have angels wings and halos because they are so wonderful. Even in such cases, the natives don't like it. The fact that you can't see this means you're a Muslim supremacist.
And if you can give some good examples of muslims forcing people in countries they immigrate to to be subject to Sharia law and forced to adapt Muslim culture, then please show it.
Also nice would be evidence of muslim immigrants in Europe gaining muilt-billion dollar weapon systems and using military might to forcing the natives to flee their homes creating millions of refugees and destablizing the area. Then you can compare the situations.
There was the case of the Danish editorial cartoons making light of Islam which is totally acceptable under Danish law and culture. Well, Muslims went ballistic and demanded that Denmark change its whole culture to conform to Muslim ways. That was the most outrageous example recently, but they come in with their hyper religiousness and take over neighborhoods and impose their culture. Natives don't like this any more than Palestinians like Jews coming in and imposing Judaism on their land.
The fact is you're all for immigration when it involves Muslims pouring into Europe, taking over whole neighborhoods and imposing Islamic law and Islamic culture on whole nations. But you're against Jewish immigration to Muslim Palestine. You have a double standard because you're a Muslim supremacist.
I support people who live in a certain area having control over their lives and oppose small groups who force their will on others.
Palestininas never had control, not even when given their own "government", and I doubt that the right-wing nationalist parties in Europe represent anything more than scare tactics by power hungry politicans to get votes and not what the people really want.
why not look at the flipside of the coin your all for jewish immigration to palestine but against muslim immigration to any christian plae because your a christian supremacist and also muslims immigrated to and benefited from europe after european nations colonised and benefited from north africa nd the middle east for centuries furthermore the muslims are providing labour even though you believe there are some disadvantages what do jews provide the palestinians
The Jews provide the Palestinians with the highest standards of living in the whole Arab world. Israel has a standard of living much higher than any Arab state except the Oil States on the Gulf. Once the war is over, Israel will be able to build economic enterprises in the Palestinian Territories and the Palestinians will be even better off. But first the Hamas and Fatah carjackers, rapists and murderers have to be overthrown.
Specifics. Yes. Like production from a human brain. Perhaps you should smoke less marijuana so your brain might produce something besides idiocy? Just a thought.
one of the greatest historical misconception in the Israeli/ Palestinean issue is the myth that when the Romans destroyed the state of Israel in 70.A.D 100% of all Jews were kicked out of the region, that is not true. In fact, by the time that Muslim Arabs got there, there were still a few Jews living in Palestine. What makes u think they wanted the Arabs there? More importantly, what makes u think that their descendents still living there today still want the Muslims there?
and what do u mean? That the Palestineans are the Canaanites? Is that your assumption? My facts are right, there have always been some Jews in Judea for the last 2000 years since Emperor Titus Vespasiano expelled them. Their populations were highly diminished by being constantly, dispersed, massacred, forced to convert to either Christianity or Islam. But they have always had a presence there. This is something that i have spent time researching. So I know what i am talking about.
ironically, For those few Jews that were left back in Judea. Muslim Arab rulers were far kinder to them than Christian rulers. The Muslims allowed them to live and worship in peace, while the Christians often brutally supressed them to convert to Christianity. If u doubt these facts, research the chronicles of the first Christian Conquest of Jerusalem in the 1st crusade and you will noticed the Crusaders' references to the Jewish presence within the city at the time of their bloody conquest.
i know that in the islamic empire of noth the ummayads and the abbassids the jews had more rights than they did in europe however that does not change the fact that the canaanites are the ancestors of the palestinians also why do you assume i do not believe the crusaders were brutal i am a muslim not a christian
There is no historical prove that today's palestineans are the direct descendents of the Cananites. When Israel was destroyed in 70 AD. Nearly all of the former groups that had lived there before had long ceased to exist. The 1st Crusaders were a bunch of murderous savages. 1st , they raped and sacked Constantinople to the ground, then when they got to Jerusalem they went on a rampage slaughtering all men, women and children Muslim, Jews and Christians til their blood flew up to their heels.
After the Seljuk Turks got control of Jerusalem the Crusaders believed (sanctioned by the Pope) that the only way for a Christian to redeem himself and be worthy of salvation was through waging war to "liberate" Jerusalem from the hands of the Muslims (Sounds familiar) Just like the modern day Jihadists. So they would embark on crusades against mainly Muslims all across the Holy Land. Anyone who was forseen as an Infidel (another name they pioneered) was their target. "Watch Kingdom of Heaven".
what do the crusaders have to do with it you are saying they are bad you don't need to tell me however the canaanites are the ancestors of the palestinians
The Canaanites were destroyed and displaced by the first Hebrews, they don't exist anymore. Its like saying that the Iraquis are the descendents of the Babylonians, or the Turks are the decendents of the Trojans or the Hittites. Tell me in which historical archive do u still see any reference to the Canaanites by the time of Jesus. Where did they lived, what were their cities, who were their kings? Do the Palestineans speak & write Canaanite or Arabic? I know the Israelis speak and write hebrew
"Clearly, in Palestine as elsewhere in the Middle East, the modern inhabitants include among their ancestors those who lived in the country in antiquity. Equally obviously, the demographic mix was greatly modified over the centuries by migration, deportation, immigration, and settlement.
your own statement says it all. The demographic make up of Palestine throughout these 1000s of years has been deeply impacted by migration, settlement, deportation, natural disasters & wars. This means that the Canaanites and nearly all these others have long ceased to exist as a people with a national, cultural and lingustical entity. Today's Palestineans refer themselves culturally, lingusticly, genetically and historically as Arabs who arrived in the region in the 5th century A.D.
so what your saying is because there are so many ethnicities in the palestinian race we should replace them with european jews who have nothing to do with the region? also if you look back to sykes picot the reason for the creation of israel was to split the asian arab countries from the african arab countries to prevent unity and provide the west with a puppet they can arm to forever attack the arabs
no, What i am saying is that the argument that today's Arab Palestineans are descendents of the Canaanites is wrong. They were totally different peoples with different cultures, languages whose only similarity is that they happen to both have inhabited the same region at different times in history. In contrast, look at today's Persians for example, although many have adopted Islam as their religion they are clearly culturally, lingustically and ethnic linked to the Ancient Persians ancestors.
bullshit. palestinians are geneticaly inhabitants of the land since the semitic migration. thats why the islamisation started in palestine in the 11th century. a slow process...all palestinians were before muslims christians or even jewish.
really, because u want them to be! That is not a good reason enough. Where are the linguistic and cultural connections between the Palestinian and the people living there before the first Hebrews? Who were their kings, what were their cities during the reign of Israel and Judea before the diaspora. Where are the references regarding these people by the Romans, and Byzantines towards the Palestinian people, all of which left vast documentation all the all people encountered. I want proof.
your argument is like saying that all Americans are Indians because, Indians used to live here. In fact, there are countless tribes of Indians (Native Americans) that have ceased to exist since the arrival of Europeans to America 400 years ago, nearly 1/2. But most Americans have no linguistic or any cultural connection to Native Americans. Bc they are not the same people and that is same thing that happened to the people who used to live in that region with the invasion of others.
maybe you are just seeking excuses. fact is palestine was inhabited by semitic people who were jewish or pagans who later converted to christianity and than mostly to islam.
& then you woke up. Come on man, stop making stuff up! The few Jews that stayed behind never converted to Islam. The Crusaders made mention of them. The Arabs when they invaded Judea made mention of them. The Romans and Byzantines who ironically forbided them of worshiping in their holy sites made mention of them but nobody, nobody made mention of any Palestinians inhabiting that region until the Islamic invasion. Before that what were their cities? who were their kings? What was their language?
i know alot of palestinian family clans of israelite/"jewish" ancestry and they are still proud of it. man you are realy talking about a topic you dont know. there was no nationalism in this times. only names for communities. fact is that the people lived and stayed there. only religons changed.
i think that u r the one who is talking about a topic you know nothing about. Saying that the Palestinians are descendants of the people who lived in Judea prior to the arrival of the Hebrews is a nationalistic attempt on the part of Palestinians to increase their claim over the claim of the Jews over the land. As much as I sympathize with them this is nothing more, no historical proof, or cultural links whatsoever.
go get proof. Read the historical scripts written by the Crusaders when they first invaded Jerusalem. They clearly mentioned a vivid Jewish presence when they sacked the city. Not only did they mentioned a Jewish presence in Jerusalem, but all across the region as well. The only other people that they mentioned after that were the Arabs. The Romans and Byzantines, were even more clear no mention of any other peoples or nations other than a few Jews as permanent residents of the region.
The people you are referring too were all destroyed, forcefully migrated or intermixed with the Hebrews during the times of the Jewish Kingdoms. They ceased to exist as a people long before the arrival of Islam. Just like the Trojans ceased to exist as a people in Anatolia or the Cartagineans in Tunis, or the Caribs and the Arawaks ceased to exist as a people in Cuba and Haiti after the arrival of the Spaniards.
read history, it clearly explain how it was Jewish policy to wipe these people out or make them migrate from the land. By the time the Romans came, there were no cities inhabited by these people, no places of worship, no kings or political entities, no spoken language references & defenitely no cultural links. All people who are descendants from another people hv some sort of cultural links & traditions left. Which cultural links did the Palestinians inherited from those people? None
u just shot yourself in the foot. Of course there is a Aramaic link on the spelling of Arab languages, food and clothing. Hebrews and Arabs were cousins who came from the same family tree. But the people who pre existed the Hebrew arrival to Judea were not. Many of them were not even semites, and spoke non semtic languanges like the Philistines who were Indo-Europeans (people of the sea). They share no cultural, linguistic, and traditional linkage with today's Palestinians
"cousin" man throw that biblical bla bla bla out here. israelites were part of the semitic migration from modern day arabia, their language was similar to canaanite and phoenician. only religion was different.
The Israelis and Arabs originated from the city of Ur in Mesepotamia the first documented civilization which is situated in Iraq not Arabia. Just to show you how uninformed you are. Second, Christians lived in Judea long before the arrival of Muslims because they were the remnants of the Byzantininan and Roman empire you fool. When Muslims invaded, many converted to Islam, others left to other Mediteranian lands.
to be ruled by romans dont mean that you are roman. they were christian before italy and the empire was roman. get some education. palestine and syria was the first christian area of the world
Arabs and Jews came from the same seed. They were all children of Abraam who cam from the Semitic city of Hur in ancient Mesopotamia. On the issue of religion, come on. Do u think that Arabs were always Muslims? Islam only began in the 5th century AD. Before that Arabs used to worship many other gods.
Anyways, 4 me religion is for the weak. It does not provide any answers or solutions to the problems facing humanity today. And humanity today faces many decisions to be made in cases of war, peace, the environment, the economy, and the future that will decide whether we will go into extintion as a species or thrive as a people. Of which no religion does not provide any solutions. I tell u austronaults have flown through the atmosphere 100s of times and have seen no angels or dead people.
In fact I tell u as soon as human beings start colonizing and living in space most human religions including Christianity, Islam and Judaism will fade away just like the worship of Zeus, Athena, Aris and Hera ceased to exist across ancient Asia Minor. Because they were not longer compatible with the reality surronding us. I can also guarantee u that new religions will come to exist as human have the psychological natural need for religion to try to make sense of what they do not understand.
speak for yourself you godless kuffar. You only say that cause you compare islam with other religions. Have you not noticed islamic nations becoming even more devout then ever before. There were actually more atheists in the muslim world during the cold war but now that atheists lost their support in the USSR atheism is dead in themuslim world and majority of asia for that matter. So try again.
that's because these people are unable to tackle the political problems in their countries and their own problems in their own lives. Specially on the national sphere, they are unable to change the brutal oppressive and corrupt regimes that deny them their rights and any economic prosperity. They are cowards to overthrown their oppressive regimes. They have no hope, so they turn into the escapism of religion, to seek the afterlife. An alternative to their own hopeless political reality.
I believe that there is a God, but that we completely misunderstand him or his nature. So most people like you rely on the tales and stories of old man in beards that lived and died thousands of years ago without asking themselves the most obvious questions. If Mohamed and Jesus really went up to the heavens, how come we have sent hundreds of satellites and astronauts into space and none have not seen any angels, Jesus, Buddha any Mohamed or any dead people.
If God really created the world in 6 days and man and woman perfectly in the last day just exactly as we exist today. How do you explain the skulls and skeletons of all those humanoid species like the Neanthertal, Homo Erectus, Homo Abilis, and Austrolopiticus Africanus found berried under the ground. How do u explain the lack of any description of the dinossaurs in our holy books. Creatures so ferocious that would be able to wipe out any humans had they ever existed in the same stage?
Christianity, Islam and Judaism will cease to exist just as the worship of Zeus, Baal and Thor did as soon as Human start colonizing and settling in space. At the very center of these 3 religions is the return of the Messiah, Mahidi, & Jesus to Earth. When humans start living in Mars, the moon and the moons of Jupiter all of these superstitions will stop making sense. As the Bible the Koran and the Torah will be unable to explain how Jesus, the Mahidi and the Messiah will go to the Moon or Mars.
buddy, various Christians converted to Islam. North Africa for example used to be predominantly Christian under Vandals and Magribs, after Arabs invaded it it became predominantly Muslim. The same thing happened to Palestine, but it weren't the Cannanites who long ceased to exist. It were the Byzantines. The Romans in 70 AD kicked out as many residents as they could. Tell me of any Roman reference to any Cannanites or Philistines at that time! There is none,
Your comment just goes to show that the Palestinians are genetically, culturally and linguistically linked to the Arabs, not the people who lived in Judea prior to the first arrival of the Hebrews. Of course they would have Aramaic links in their food, language, and genetics because they came from the same ethnic family tree as the Jews. Unlike the people who existed in Judea prior to the arrival of the Hebrews who first lived there 8000 to 10 000 years ago not 2000 years ago
no there is a genetic difference between arabs of arabia (who dont settled down in palestine) your comment makes no sense. so muslim arabs invade palestine, get christians, and convert again to islam? man what the shit are you talking about? even scientist of the hebrew university admit that the people always lived there.
Of course there is a genetic difference with the Arabs from Arabia. Arabs are genetically diverse as a people because they mixed with various people around the world. The Palestineans are a mixture of Arabs, Byzantineans, Romans, Greeks, Persians, Turks and so forth, all of which came after the establishment of the Hebrew kingdoms not before. They are not descents of the Cannanites and Philistinians. I wonder whether that scientist at the Hebrew University really said that or u misheard him.
byzantinese...OMG !!! BULLSHIT. there were no roman settlements, nor byzantians (there is nothing like that, its the name of the state) buddy. listen, hate muslims, hate islam, thats your decision and your free choose, but dont change history.
Claiming that these people are the direct descendents of the Canaanites and all these other people is wrong due to the massive migration, deportation that took place within the region. It would be like claiming that today's Turks are the direct descendents of the Trojans or the Hitties who pre existed them in old Anatolia just because they lived in the same region that they now live on. Or that today's North Africans are Germans because the Vandals (a Germanic people) lived in North Africa
U have to understand what makes a people. A people are its cultural practices, its languages, its religious traditions, its history and today's Palestineans even if some of them might have had some shades of genetic ancestry of these past people share very little if at all with the people you just mentioned. They are Arabs. 4 example, did u know that most African American share, Native American and European blood within their veins. But does that make them Native American or European?
No, u got it wrong. I am not saying that one should replace one for the other. I am a strong believer in the need for a 2 state solution and the dissolution of the settlements. But this crazy idea that the west wants to divide the Arabs its pure Extremist propaganda. We don't divide Arabs, Arabs divide themselves. Or best they have never been united. Did we tell the Sunnis and the Shia to kill each other in Iraq and in Lebanon? Did we impose your dictators upon yourself. No u did.
Palestine.Ali Qleibo, a Palestinian anthropologist, explains:
"Throughout history a great diversity of peoples has moved into the region and made Palestine their homeland: Jebusites, Canaanites, Philistines from Crete, Anatolian and Lydian Greeks, Hebrews, Amorites, Edomites, Nabateans, Arameans, Romans, Arabs, and European crusaders, to name a few.
Kermit Zarley writes that "the early ancestors of some of today's Palestinians are no doubt the Canaanites, Philistines, Phoenicians, Egyptians, Idumaeans, Nabateans and Samaritans. In later periods, their intermarriage with conquering peoples, such as Greeks, Romans, Arabians and Turks, merely added to the genetic mix in Palestine
Its time for u to start taking responsibility for your own actions. U struggle with your authoritarian regimes but instead of fighting for democracy, u people spend time trying to get radicalism. As long as u fight for radicalism your dictators will never take u seriously, that is the Saudi house gives money to Whahabists. But if u were to fight instead for democracy, political accountability, equality and justice the whole world would embrace and your dictators would actually begin to fear you
Give me a break look what Democracy did for the Africans, The South Americans, and the likes. Just remember your so called "democratic Goverments" put most of those so called Dictators there. Besides Europeans don't need dictators because they will believe anything you say to them as long as they have a lot of money you just nod ur heads and agree. Democracy is a farce even in america the people don't vote for the president the electoral college does.
democracy has given nothing to Africans because most of them never had democracy. It has been nearly 40 years since most Africans became independent from Europe. its time for them to stop blaming others for their own their own failures. Asians became independent around the same time and look at their progress. Really, Europeans listen to everything they r told by the gov, that is why they are always on strike. Europeans are some of the most politically active and aware people on earth.
African countries lack a strong civil society, a borguoise and middle class who is independent from the government and who is able to move the power of the masses against the Gov. Now if u argue that Western countries often turn their faces away from the corruption practiced by African leaders and willingly allow them to place their stolen money on their bank acounts. Then i am with you. Anyways, in America the people don't vote for the president, but who votes for the electoral college?
what makes you think that those "semetic" (note, this is a key word, SEMETIC JEWS) want these RUSSIAN, POLISH, UKRANIAN jews there either. Muslims and Jews lived in peace, until the non-semetic, EUROPEAN JEWS came and fucked it all up.
simple, here is what makes me come to this conclusion. Both groups fought together for the creation of Israel and both groups fought together for the survival of Israel in 48, 67, and 73. Are there division within the Israelis? Of course! there are divisions within all groups, including Fatah and Hamas on the Palestinean side. Listen, i am not trying to say that the Palestineans shouldn't have a state of their own. I am just trying to highlight the true complexity of the conflict.
Your comment makes no sense at all!I have not heard of a terror plot taken place in a church. And please stop using facts from the 14 century! The Church has and always will be the most tolerant place you can find in the cruel world! You know what people have said: "Feel yourself at home but don't forget that you're a guest!"
"Just 2 years ago some radical islamists were caught in northern Italy using a mosque to plot bombings!"
Your a Dumbass, didnt you hear the reporter? THERE ARE NO mosques in Northern Italy even that one in this clip which they built they cant pray inside of it.
There are several mosques in Northern Italy, many of them built before 9-11. (I know of least 1 in Milan complete with a minaret). What the report said was that city councils dominated by the Northern League party make it difficult if not impossible to build or authorize new mosques.
the holy quran says the muslims will rule the bezentine(roman) empire once again so now after hearing that we have 1.5 million muslims live der it makes all sense to me soon it will happen
you know that the Byzantine Empire was the Eastern Roman Empire right, the Italian Peninsula was not part of the East, they were part of the Western Roman Empire. The East was more The Balkin states, Turkey, etc.
@badboy2kool So there you have it. Your religion is about obtaining power and territory, not so much about divine values such as loving one another, compassion, mercy, respect, patience, etc... In other words it is not about spiritual growth. Don't be surprised if Christians don't want you in their land, it is pretty obvious what your real intentions are.
If Italians are going to enjoy the cheap labor of immigrants, they must afford them the same basic human rights. Still, I think it's far easier to start a mosque in Italy, than it is to open up a Pentecostal church in Saudi Arabia. If they're not happy (if their religion is so important), they can always return.
I hope Islam doesn't destroy this beautiful Catholic majority country AS WELL!

May our Muslim brothers and sisters have patience and persevere, for that is what our Creator has told us to do. Insyaallah, there is a hikmah in all of this.

It is time to bring these issues out into the open and discuss them in a rational way, not with name-calling and rudeness. Every point of view is worth listening to. It is time for everyone to acknowledge we live in a global community, and must learn to accept and get along with one another.

It is inevitable that Italy will eventually become a Muslim nation.
mercedescl 2 years ago
Not if the deportations begin now. Italy has a small window with which to get organized and nip this Muslim takeover in the bud.
electango 2 years ago
Italy is desperately needing new immigrants to simply keep its economy afloat. Sooner or later, the immigrants will force a concession from the government. There may be some fighting and resistence from the nationalists, but in modern politics, number carrys more weight than tradition.
mercedescl 2 years ago
Not always. Sometimes national survival is more important than making money.
electango 2 years ago
"national survival"? Italy's survival is depending on the immigrants; without them, the entire Italian government will collapse with the weight of retirement funding and utility bills.
mercedescl 2 years ago
The Italian government can demand that in return for better lives and better opportunities that the immigrants abandon their imperialistic, intolerant, racist, militaristic religion. It could demand that immigrants while in Rome do as the Romans do and not as Osama BinLaden does. The Italians could turn in their current government of corrupt traitors and place in its place a patriotic clean government which puts the nation first and actually protects the Italian people.
electango 2 years ago
Are you stupid or something? Can you think of a way to stop people from doing something in their mind and at their home? Will the "your fantasy government" hires a guard for every immigrant and then hires another guard to guard the guard that you had sent to spy on people? You haven't thought this through yet, don't you?
mercedescl 2 years ago
There are immigrants in Saudi Arabia but Saudi Arabia bans the opening of churches. In fact, the Bible is illegal in Saudi Arabia as is the holding of Christian services of worship in private homes. But for some reason, Italy should (in your opinion) allow Saudi Arabia to finance the building of mosques in Italy and let Muslims spread their murderous faith in Italy. Are you stupid or something? You haven't thought this through yet, have you?
electango 2 years ago
The difference is that there aren't millions of Christian immigrants coming to Saudi Arabia.
But then, your advice seems inline with what you say are the bad things about Islam (force people to convert, don't allow them freedom if they don't convert, branding difference as being "bad", being intolerant of intolerance).
In the end you're just another religious fundamentalist pehaps?
justjeshb 2 years ago
You are looking at one mulim country what about the other 50 in my country Qatar we built churches at he governments expense in Kuwait and the Uae same thing all for immigrants as we have no native christians in the gulf most other countries such as jordan iraq syria egypt turkey and the list goes on have their ownchristian minorities who have churches which christian immigrants or tourists would be free to pray in if you want to be a closed minded fool who believes propaganda fine dont blame
Suhaim85 2 years ago
So it's legitimate for the Saudis to stifle religious freedom but not for the Italians. Why the double standard other than the fact that you're a Muslim supremacist? If I ran Italy, I wouldn't even allow Muslims to pray in the streets until the Saudis allowed churches to open in Arabia and allowed Christians to pray in Arabia too. The Saudis spend billions opening mosques in Christian nations but won't let churches open in Arabia. Let the Italian Muslims convert to Christianity.
electango 2 years ago
It is up for the Saudis and for the Italians to decide. Saudi Arabia has little religious freedom, but also there are very few non-Muslims there, and most are guest workers, not immigrants. Again, if you're advocating that Italy become as religiously fundamentalistic as Saudi Arabia, then you completely miss the point why people think it's goes against Italian/European culture to oppose outsiders.
justjeshb 2 years ago
And the Italians are deciding to curb the growth of Islam in Italy. Perhaps they could rename the Muslim immigrants "guest workers" and then have them return to Libya or Morocco after their permits expire. That's what the Saudis do. Like the millions of "guest workers" in Arabia who have no rights, the Muslims in Italy could have their rights taken away from them. In the interests of justice and fairness, that is.
electango 2 years ago 2
Do you know that everyday 174 people will be murdered each day around the globe? Why don't start killing someone now as more murders are done than the cases that can solve? What Saudi Arabia did is their issues, what Italians did is European issues. European should have shared fairness and equality values, otherwise, what's the point of an union?
mercedescl 2 years ago
European nations should do what they have to do to survive as nations. If it means they need to stop the building of mosques which end up as bomb factories, so be it. But Saudi Arabia which doesn't allow Christian churches to be built in Arabia should not be allowed to fund the building of mosques in Italy. That's common sense. You don't have a problem with common sense, do you?
electango 2 years ago
I don't understand your comment, it seems to come from some pre-existing prejudice. This report is not about Saudi Arabia, is it? Is there proof that it is Saudi Arabia that is funding these mosques, or that they become "bomb factories" as you call them? This is - in spite of your rational tone - essentially an emotional argument from fear, ignorance and prejudice.
GogiGirl 2 years ago
It is well known that Saudi Arabia funds the spread of the wahabi brand of Islam by funding the building of mosques world wide. Along with wahabi Islam comes militarism. Witness NineEleven and various terrorist attacks world wide. If the Saudis won't allow religious freedom in Arabia then they should not be allowed to practice religious freedom in any other country. If Italians should be free to explore Islam, then Arabians should be allowed to explore Christianity. That's common sense.
electango 2 years ago
I pity that you live in such fear. others.
GogiGirl 2 years ago
Why is it OK with Muslim supremacists like yourself that Saudi Arabia forbids the construction of churches or holding Christian services or Bible Study? Isn't that intolerant, undemocratic, unfair and wrong? Why do you ask Italy to maintain policies that Saudi Arabia rejects?
electango 2 years ago
So because I disagree with your logic (or lack thereof), I'm a Muslim Supremacist? Name-calling only reinforces the impression that you are in an uncontrolled and irrational emotional state, not THINKING! This report - and indeed this discussion - are not about Saudi Arabia (which seems to be your particular obsession), but in fact about ITALY. I personally feel that the Saudi leadership is a despicable and oppressive regime. Should Italy become one, too? That's the question.
GogiGirl 2 years ago
The lack of religious freedom in Arabia isn't about the leadership of Arabia. It's about the Muslims of Arabia who are utterly intolerant of other faiths. When Italy bans the construction of mosques as they should, the Muslims can understand this is a product of their own intolerance. If Muslims want religious freedom, they need to give it too. If they want to build mosques and spread Islam, let Christians build churches and spread Christianity. Good for Italy!!

So all places where anyone could plot terror should be banned, by your logic. Then it seems we'd have to ban every church, every government office, every apartment block and every house everwhere in the world.
The Vatican itself was used to plot terror campaigns on citizens of the world for thousands of years, so then it should be banned as well?
justjeshb 2 years ago 3
Now the Muslims know how the Israelis feel. You move into Italy, for example, where NOBODY WANTS YOU THERE. And all you want is to have a place to build a decent life. Maybe the Muslims will be more understanding of Israel now that they have the intolerance of Italy as an experience. Probably not though. Because Muslims are intolerant and believe they are superior to other groups.
electango 2 years ago
Yes, unlike Jews and Italians who have shown that they are tolerant and acommodating. (sarcasm)
I think you're missing the point, though. In Italy the impact of immigrants has almost no impact on people's daily lives, it's just a tool the politicans use to scare people in order to get power.
However, Jewish settlement, terrorist aggression and violent expansion and expulsion of the natives MUST have some impact on people's perceptions of them. It's not all about pure intolerance.
justjeshb 2 years ago 3
The point is the Italians don't want you there just like the Palestinians did not want the Jewish immigrants there. The Palestinians very early on when there was just a small number of Jewish immigrants saw what was coming and were very early on raising the issue. The Italians are the same. They now are raising the issue. But you Muslim supremacists DON'T GIVE A SHIT. You're big hypocrites, aren't you? Of course you are.
electango 2 years ago
Immigrants are needed in Italy to do all the crap jobs Italians don't wanna do. You think that over a milllion muslims all just snuck in illegally? At least some try to intergrate into society, how many Jews can speak Arabic? Were they forced to pray in parkings lots?
Israel was settled by militant Zionists, commiting acts of terror against the UK & using pity to help form their own fundamentalist state & using military aggression to occupy other territories.
Quite different situations!
justjeshb 2 years ago 3
You quite miss the point. The Italian indigenous population doesn't want you there. They forbid the building of mosques and force you to pray in the streets without prayer rugs. Get it? Because they know you'll use mosques as arms warehouses and bomb factories. OK? But you Muslim supremacists only care when Muslims are affected by immigration as in Israel.
electango 2 years ago
The Italian population mostly doesn't care about it outside of the scare tactics power hungry politicans use.
You have any studies that show the vast majority of Italians oppose Muslims? And even those who say they oppose immigration will still want to hire cheap, immigrant labour so it's not logical.
If a terrorist cell in anywhere wanted to use a place to store weapons they wouldn't need to use a mosque, they could use any place.
The opposition to the mosque is just symbolic and political
justjeshb 2 years ago 2
Italian politicians work for anti Muslim laws because it gain them support from voters and more power. Because the Italians don't want Muslims moving to Italy any more than Palestinians want Jewish immigrants coming to Palestine. Many Palestinians have benefited from Jewish immigration including the Arab workers who build Jewish settlements on the West Bank. Does that mean that Palestinians support Jewish settlements on the West Bank? Of course not.
electango 2 years ago
It works because anti-immigration is an easy solution to something that isn't a problem, that is a lot more noticable than a hard solution to a major problem.
Again, the big difference is that the Italian and other western governments support immigration because they need cheep labour. I doubt that the Palestine gov't (never been run by Palestinians) supported Jewish immigration for same reasons.
Don't compare apples and oranges
justjeshb 2 years ago
Indigenous peoples like the Italians love their homelands just as much as Palestinians love their homeland. And when outsiders come, they make big changes. They demand things. It's natural. So the natives don't like it--even if the outsiders are extra special people like Muslims who can do no wrong and have angels wings and halos because they are so wonderful. Even in such cases, the natives don't like it. The fact that you can't see this means you're a Muslim supremacist.
electango 2 years ago
And if you can give some good examples of muslims forcing people in countries they immigrate to to be subject to Sharia law and forced to adapt Muslim culture, then please show it.
Also nice would be evidence of muslim immigrants in Europe gaining muilt-billion dollar weapon systems and using military might to forcing the natives to flee their homes creating millions of refugees and destablizing the area. Then you can compare the situations.
justjeshb 2 years ago
There was the case of the Danish editorial cartoons making light of Islam which is totally acceptable under Danish law and culture. Well, Muslims went ballistic and demanded that Denmark change its whole culture to conform to Muslim ways. That was the most outrageous example recently, but they come in with their hyper religiousness and take over neighborhoods and impose their culture. Natives don't like this any more than Palestinians like Jews coming in and imposing Judaism on their land.
electango 2 years ago
The fact is you're all for immigration when it involves Muslims pouring into Europe, taking over whole neighborhoods and imposing Islamic law and Islamic culture on whole nations. But you're against Jewish immigration to Muslim Palestine. You have a double standard because you're a Muslim supremacist.
electango 2 years ago
Actually I am white and an athies, but thanks.
I support people who live in a certain area having control over their lives and oppose small groups who force their will on others.
Palestininas never had control, not even when given their own "government", and I doubt that the right-wing nationalist parties in Europe represent anything more than scare tactics by power hungry politicans to get votes and not what the people really want.
justjeshb 2 years ago
why not look at the flipside of the coin your all for jewish immigration to palestine but against muslim immigration to any christian plae because your a christian supremacist and also muslims immigrated to and benefited from europe after european nations colonised and benefited from north africa nd the middle east for centuries furthermore the muslims are providing labour even though you believe there are some disadvantages what do jews provide the palestinians
Suhaim85 2 years ago
The Jews provide the Palestinians with the highest standards of living in the whole Arab world. Israel has a standard of living much higher than any Arab state except the Oil States on the Gulf. Once the war is over, Israel will be able to build economic enterprises in the Palestinian Territories and the Palestinians will be even better off. But first the Hamas and Fatah carjackers, rapists and murderers have to be overthrown.

one of the greatest historical misconception in the Israeli/ Palestinean issue is the myth that when the Romans destroyed the state of Israel in 70.A.D 100% of all Jews were kicked out of the region, that is not true. In fact, by the time that Muslim Arabs got there, there were still a few Jews living in Palestine. What makes u think they wanted the Arabs there? More importantly, what makes u think that their descendents still living there today still want the Muslims there?
madrid23 2 years ago
Firstly your facts are wrong and secondly the first inhabitants of palestine where the canaanites the jews came later and invaded and then left
Suhaim85 2 years ago
and what do u mean? That the Palestineans are the Canaanites? Is that your assumption? My facts are right, there have always been some Jews in Judea for the last 2000 years since Emperor Titus Vespasiano expelled them. Their populations were highly diminished by being constantly, dispersed, massacred, forced to convert to either Christianity or Islam. But they have always had a presence there. This is something that i have spent time researching. So I know what i am talking about.
madrid23 2 years ago
ironically, For those few Jews that were left back in Judea. Muslim Arab rulers were far kinder to them than Christian rulers. The Muslims allowed them to live and worship in peace, while the Christians often brutally supressed them to convert to Christianity. If u doubt these facts, research the chronicles of the first Christian Conquest of Jerusalem in the 1st crusade and you will noticed the Crusaders' references to the Jewish presence within the city at the time of their bloody conquest.
madrid23 2 years ago
i know that in the islamic empire of noth the ummayads and the abbassids the jews had more rights than they did in europe however that does not change the fact that the canaanites are the ancestors of the palestinians also why do you assume i do not believe the crusaders were brutal i am a muslim not a christian
Suhaim85 2 years ago
There is no historical prove that today's palestineans are the direct descendents of the Cananites. When Israel was destroyed in 70 AD. Nearly all of the former groups that had lived there before had long ceased to exist. The 1st Crusaders were a bunch of murderous savages. 1st , they raped and sacked Constantinople to the ground, then when they got to Jerusalem they went on a rampage slaughtering all men, women and children Muslim, Jews and Christians til their blood flew up to their heels.
madrid23 2 years ago
After the Seljuk Turks got control of Jerusalem the Crusaders believed (sanctioned by the Pope) that the only way for a Christian to redeem himself and be worthy of salvation was through waging war to "liberate" Jerusalem from the hands of the Muslims (Sounds familiar) Just like the modern day Jihadists. So they would embark on crusades against mainly Muslims all across the Holy Land. Anyone who was forseen as an Infidel (another name they pioneered) was their target. "Watch Kingdom of Heaven".
madrid23 2 years ago
what do the crusaders have to do with it you are saying they are bad you don't need to tell me however the canaanites are the ancestors of the palestinians
Suhaim85 2 years ago
The Canaanites were destroyed and displaced by the first Hebrews, they don't exist anymore. Its like saying that the Iraquis are the descendents of the Babylonians, or the Turks are the decendents of the Trojans or the Hittites. Tell me in which historical archive do u still see any reference to the Canaanites by the time of Jesus. Where did they lived, what were their cities, who were their kings? Do the Palestineans speak & write Canaanite or Arabic? I know the Israelis speak and write hebrew
madrid23 2 years ago
American historian Bernard Lewis writes:
"Clearly, in Palestine as elsewhere in the Middle East, the modern inhabitants include among their ancestors those who lived in the country in antiquity. Equally obviously, the demographic mix was greatly modified over the centuries by migration, deportation, immigration, and settlement.
Suhaim85 2 years ago
your own statement says it all. The demographic make up of Palestine throughout these 1000s of years has been deeply impacted by migration, settlement, deportation, natural disasters & wars. This means that the Canaanites and nearly all these others have long ceased to exist as a people with a national, cultural and lingustical entity. Today's Palestineans refer themselves culturally, lingusticly, genetically and historically as Arabs who arrived in the region in the 5th century A.D.
madrid23 2 years ago
so what your saying is because there are so many ethnicities in the palestinian race we should replace them with european jews who have nothing to do with the region? also if you look back to sykes picot the reason for the creation of israel was to split the asian arab countries from the african arab countries to prevent unity and provide the west with a puppet they can arm to forever attack the arabs
Suhaim85 2 years ago
no, What i am saying is that the argument that today's Arab Palestineans are descendents of the Canaanites is wrong. They were totally different peoples with different cultures, languages whose only similarity is that they happen to both have inhabited the same region at different times in history. In contrast, look at today's Persians for example, although many have adopted Islam as their religion they are clearly culturally, lingustically and ethnic linked to the Ancient Persians ancestors.
madrid23 2 years ago
bullshit. palestinians are geneticaly inhabitants of the land since the semitic migration. thats why the islamisation started in palestine in the 11th century. a slow process...all palestinians were before muslims christians or even jewish.
sibirislam 2 years ago
really, because u want them to be! I want proof.
madrid23 2 years ago
your argument is like saying that all Americans are Indians because, Indians used to live here. In fact, there are countless tribes of Indians (Native Americans) that have ceased to exist since the arrival of Europeans to America 400 years ago, nearly 1/2. But most Americans have no linguistic or any cultural connection to Native Americans. Bc they are not the same people and that is same thing that happened to the people who used to live in that region with the invasion of others.
madrid23 2 years ago
your comment makes no sense.
sibirislam 2 years ago
maybe it is too complicated for you.
madrid23 2 years ago
maybe you are just seeking excuses. fact is palestine was inhabited by semitic people who were jewish or pagans who later converted to christianity and than mostly to islam.
sibirislam 2 years ago
& then you woke up. Come on man, stop making stuff up! The few Jews that stayed behind never converted to Islam. The Crusaders made mention of them. The Arabs when they invaded Judea made mention of them. The Romans and Byzantines who ironically forbided them of worshiping in their holy sites made mention of them but nobody, nobody made mention of any Palestinians inhabiting that region until the Islamic invasion. Before that what were their cities? who were their kings? What was their language?
madrid23 2 years ago
i know alot of palestinian family clans of israelite/"jewish" ancestry and they are still proud of it. man you are realy talking about a topic you dont know. there was no nationalism in this times. only names for communities. fact is that the people lived and stayed there. only religons changed.
sibirislam 2 years ago
i think that u r the one who is talking about a topic you know nothing about. Saying that the Palestinians are descendants of the people who lived in Judea prior to the arrival of the Hebrews is a nationalistic attempt on the part of Palestinians to increase their claim over the claim of the Jews over the land. As much as I sympathize with them this is nothing more, no historical proof, or cultural links whatsoever.
madrid23 2 years ago
go get proof. The Romans and Byzantines, were even more clear no mention of any other peoples or nations other than a few Jews as permanent residents of the region.
madrid23 2 years ago
The people you are referring too were all destroyed, forcefully migrated or intermixed with the Hebrews during the times of the Jewish Kingdoms. They ceased to exist as a people long before the arrival of Islam. Just like the Trojans ceased to exist as a people in Anatolia or the Cartagineans in Tunis, or the Caribs and the Arawaks ceased to exist as a people in Cuba and Haiti after the arrival of the Spaniards.
madrid23 2 years ago
read history, it clearly explain how it was Jewish policy to wipe these people out or make them migrate from the land. None
madrid23 2 years ago
clothes, aramaic spelling of arab languages, food, geneticaly same like 2000 years ago.
sibirislam 2 years ago
u just shot yourself in the foot. They share no cultural, linguistic, and traditional linkage with today's Palestinians
madrid23 2 years ago
"cousin" man throw that biblical bla bla bla out here. israelites were part of the semitic migration from modern day arabia, their language was similar to canaanite and phoenician. only religion was different.
sibirislam 2 years ago
The Israelis and Arabs originated from the city of Ur in Mesepotamia the first documented civilization which is situated in Iraq not Arabia. Just to show you how uninformed you are. Second, Christians lived in Judea long before the arrival of Muslims because they were the remnants of the Byzantininan and Roman empire you fool. When Muslims invaded, many converted to Islam, others left to other Mediteranian lands.

badboy2kool 2 years ago
Arabs and Jews came from the same seed. They were all children of Abraam who cam from the Semitic city of Hur in ancient Mesopotamia. On the issue of religion, come on. Do u think that Arabs were always Muslims? Islam only began in the 5th century AD. Before that Arabs used to worship many other gods.
madrid23 2 years ago
Anyways, 4 me religion is for the weak. It does not provide any answers or solutions to the problems facing humanity today. And humanity today faces many decisions to be made in cases of war, peace, the environment, the economy, and the future that will decide whether we will go into extintion as a species or thrive as a people. Of which no religion does not provide any solutions. I tell u austronaults have flown through the atmosphere 100s of times and have seen no angels or dead people.
madrid23 2 years ago
In fact I tell u as soon as human beings start colonizing and living in space most human religions including Christianity, Islam and Judaism will fade away just like the worship of Zeus, Athena, Aris and Hera ceased to exist across ancient Asia Minor. Because they were not longer compatible with the reality surronding us. I can also guarantee u that new religions will come to exist as human have the psychological natural need for religion to try to make sense of what they do not understand.
madrid23 2 years ago
speak for yourself you godless kuffar. You only say that cause you compare islam with other religions. Have you not noticed islamic nations becoming even more devout then ever before. There were actually more atheists in the muslim world during the cold war but now that atheists lost their support in the USSR atheism is dead in themuslim world and majority of asia for that matter. So try again.
corvino21 2 years ago
that's because these people are unable to tackle the political problems in their countries and their own problems in their own lives. Specially on the national sphere, they are unable to change the brutal oppressive and corrupt regimes that deny them their rights and any economic prosperity. They are cowards to overthrown their oppressive regimes. They have no hope, so they turn into the escapism of religion, to seek the afterlife. An alternative to their own hopeless political reality.
madrid23 2 years ago
I believe that there is a God, but that we completely misunderstand him or his nature. So most people like you rely on the tales and stories of old man in beards that lived and died thousands of years ago without asking themselves the most obvious questions. If Mohamed and Jesus really went up to the heavens, how come we have sent hundreds of satellites and astronauts into space and none have not seen any angels, Jesus, Buddha any Mohamed or any dead people.
madrid23 2 years ago
If God really created the world in 6 days and man and woman perfectly in the last day just exactly as we exist today. How do you explain the skulls and skeletons of all those humanoid species like the Neanthertal, Homo Erectus, Homo Abilis, and Austrolopiticus Africanus found berried under the ground. How do u explain the lack of any description of the dinossaurs in our holy books. Creatures so ferocious that would be able to wipe out any humans had they ever existed in the same stage?
madrid23 2 years ago

There is none,
madrid23 2 years ago
Your comment just goes to show that the Palestinians are genetically, culturally and linguistically linked to the Arabs, not the people who lived in Judea prior to the first arrival of the Hebrews. Of course they would have Aramaic links in their food, language, and genetics because they came from the same ethnic family tree as the Jews. Unlike the people who existed in Judea prior to the arrival of the Hebrews who first lived there 8000 to 10 000 years ago not 2000 years ago
madrid23 2 years ago
no there is a genetic difference between arabs of arabia (who dont settled down in palestine) your comment makes no sense. so muslim arabs invade palestine, get christians, and convert again to islam? man what the shit are you talking about? even scientist of the hebrew university admit that the people always lived there.
sibirislam 2 years ago
Of course there is a genetic difference with the Arabs from Arabia. Arabs are genetically diverse as a people because they mixed with various people around the world. The Palestineans are a mixture of Arabs, Byzantineans, Romans, Greeks, Persians, Turks and so forth, all of which came after the establishment of the Hebrew kingdoms not before. They are not descents of the Cannanites and Philistinians. I wonder whether that scientist at the Hebrew University really said that or u misheard him.

sibirislam 2 years ago
Claiming that these people are the direct descendents of the Canaanites and all these other people is wrong due to the massive migration, deportation that took place within the region. It would be like claiming that today's Turks are the direct descendents of the Trojans or the Hitties who pre existed them in old Anatolia just because they lived in the same region that they now live on. Or that today's North Africans are Germans because the Vandals (a Germanic people) lived in North Africa
madrid23 2 years ago
U have to understand what makes a people. A people are its cultural practices, its languages, its religious traditions, its history and today's Palestineans even if some of them might have had some shades of genetic ancestry of these past people share very little if at all with the people you just mentioned. They are Arabs. 4 example, did u know that most African American share, Native American and European blood within their veins. But does that make them Native American or European?
madrid23 2 years ago

Suhaim85 2 years ago
Kermit Zarley writes that "the early ancestors of some of today's Palestinians are no doubt the Canaanites, Philistines, Phoenicians, Egyptians, Idumaeans, Nabateans and Samaritans. In later periods, their intermarriage with conquering peoples, such as Greeks, Romans, Arabians and Turks, merely added to the genetic mix in Palestine

Democracy is a farce even in america the people don't vote for the president the electoral college does.
umsalmaan 2 years ago
democracy has given nothing to Africans because most of them never had democracy. It has been nearly 40 years since most Africans became independent from Europe. its time for them to stop blaming others for their own their own failures. Asians became independent around the same time and look at their progress. Really, Europeans listen to everything they r told by the gov, that is why they are always on strike. Europeans are some of the most politically active and aware people on earth.
madrid23 2 years ago
African countries lack a strong civil society, a borguoise and middle class who is independent from the government and who is able to move the power of the masses against the Gov. Now if u argue that Western countries often turn their faces away from the corruption practiced by African leaders and willingly allow them to place their stolen money on their bank acounts. Then i am with you. Anyways, in America the people don't vote for the president, but who votes for the electoral college?

If Italians are going to enjoy the cheap labor of immigrants, they must afford them the same basic human rights. Still, I think it's far easier to start a mosque in Italy, than it is to open up a Pentecostal church in Saudi Arabia. If they're not happy (if their religion is so important), they can always return.
