I think my heart just broke! It made me want to cry over what those horrible people do to chimps. I sent my letter and posted it to facebook. We need to get this to stop. These chimps don't deserve to be treated in such a horrible and barbaric manner. NO animal does!!! Why does man have to be so cruel?
I get dozens of requests for political contributions, and requests are increasing this election year. I've decided - I will support my candidates AFTER they support the chimpanzees. No contributions until I see a VOTE on the Great Ape Protection and Cost Savings Act. Thanks, PCRM, for making it the priority for 2012. We can make it the Year of the Chimpanzee.
No animals should be treated like this by humans, they are all intelligent and sensitive in their own ways, and human-like traits are no more deserving of consideration than cat-like traits for example. I agree that there should be no chimpanzee lab "research" but what does that mean for all the other animals? We need to get them ALL out of those lab cages and off those vivisection tables and out of those restraint devices, forever. Otherwise our species has FAILED, miserably, unforgivably.
This is so wonderful and I cannot believe, that we, as a nation, STILL use these intelligent, sensiive beings in inhumane and cruel tests. Our tax payer dollars should NOT be used and this money should be stopped immediately. These tests can be done on plastic test modules, not flesh and blood chimpanzees and great apes!!
We also need to stop the slaughter of horses and the sale of horse-meat to other counties!!! This is ALL WRONG!
